We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful 8-sleeper getaway for New Year’s! The place was spotless, well-equipped, and truly felt like a home away from home. All we had to bring was our food, which made things so convenient. Our family had such an amazing time that we’re already looking at upcoming dates to book again. I was initially concerned about not having a TV for the kids, but they had so much fun that it wasn’t missed at all. The fishing was excellent, even with the dam’s water levels being low. If we could suggest one improvement, it would be to add fans in the rooms as it does get quite hot at night. Other than that, everything was perfect. A big thank you to the host for their excellent service and attention to detail. Keep up the great work – we’ll definitely be back soon!

Si vous voulez un dépaysement total alors foncez, malgré la difficulté du chemin pour nous ( je recommande une voiture type SUV mais une voiture simple fait le job aussi nous étions seulement très chargés niveau bagages), vous êtes accueilli avec la sympathie et le sourire, la vue est a coupé le souffle accompagné du chant des oiseaux au petit matin et celui des insectes le soir, nous avons pu nous ressourcer comme il se doit autour du braïi. Il y a un accès direct à une randonnée dans la montagne. Je trouve le placard à provisions génial si on ne veut pas sortir ça peut dépanner. Un petit supermarché très abordable est à proximité. Sipho is a great host as always. Easy to communicate with and he answers any question you have to the best of his knowledge.

This was our second visit to Frans place and it was as if we returned to family. Fran and Rick are extremely accommodating superhosts and we will definitely recommend them and their place without any reservations. Frans is our go to home away from home. We are completely spoilt at the lodge and we are looking forward to our upcoming 3rd visit. Thank you for sharing your place with us Fran, we love you guys, see you soon.

From arrival up to time of leaving I was made to feel like family!!

It is a home far away from home, very spacious,, and serene . the gentlemen were hospitable and helpful. It is a quiet and safe and I would definitely recommend and stay on my next visit to Pretoria.

Our stay was really fantastic for our dogs and had plenty to keep our children busy. Was a lovely getaway being outdoors and exploring nature. Greg was super helpful in settling us in and allowing us to take our dogs on walks down to the dams. The house's interiors and kitchen is older than we expected, however the rooms and bedding was comfortable. Overall there was more to do and enjoy, than what we expected!
