My husband, myself and our son and daughter in law rented Dave & Melissa’s home to celebrate my 50th birthday. I was not looking forward to turning 50 but it was such a wonderful time. I LOVE their home. It was beautifully decorated with everything we needed. Sitting on the front porch listening to the waves crash was so relaxing. We had dinner on the deck every evening. It seemed so private and peaceful. Nice furnishings even outside. Perfect for our fur babies and us. The boat landing is just a couple miles away which is really nice and convenient. We will definitely be visiting again when the weather is warmer and we can have fun in the water. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home 💜

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

This was a homey, private and pet-friendly stay right on the beach! Perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway. Dave & Melissa were extremely communicative and easy hosts to work with. I would stay here again!

Beautiful views! Very peaceful. We enjoyed every moment, from waking up seeing the water to watching sunsets from the dock! We loved the grill and hot tub area! Had a blast!

We had a great time, John thought of everything you could need. Place was as described however it was bigger then we had expected. If your gonna be in the area it’s a must to stay at John’s. Even his staff was friendly and helpful, when looking for fish markets and with any questions we asked about the area. We couldn’t say enough good things! The place/grounds are beautiful. Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

We loved our weekend at the crab shack! The inside is so cozy and well decorated, and the front porch overlooking the creek is amazing. We spent many hours there enjoying the view. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I spent a week at the beach cottage. The location is unbeatable, just steps to the beach. If you are not fond of the sand, you can sit in the porch and enjoy the view. You will not want to leave! The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Cecilio and his wife answered promptly all of my questions about places to eat and things to do. If you enjoy fishing, the Ocean View pier (longest in the State of Virginia) is just a half a mile walk from the house, or a short drive. You can rent fishing poles, buy bait, and feel like a local. You can also get some crab traps and get blue crabs. The pier has a restaurant with a nice view and a full bar. The beach right outside the house feels private. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book. If you like water activities, the cottage has plenty of beach gear, including paddle boarding, and kayaks. We wanted to relax and reconnect, and this place was the perfect spot for us. Highly recommended.

We were more than satisfied with our stay! It made for a great weekend. Clean, spacious, and in a great location for exploring the area. The kitchen had everything we needed for making a family breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

I enjoyed my stay at this location while I was working in the area. The house was very clean and had a great view of the river. I loved the area and all of the amenities that she had in the home. Would definitely return.

Such a great location - just a short walk from the beach. Front porch is a great place in the mornings and evenings. The dining room and living room fit our group well and we squeezed in the bedrooms (4 couples + 6 kids all 3 and under) but it was perfect since we spent most time outside anyways! Adam was super helpful and quick to respond when we needed a few items. Would definitely visit again!

I cannot find the words to express our families stay. When I say this was the best stay at an ABNB we have had thus far it was. The outside itself from the landscaping to the scenery was breathtaking. Checking in was a breeze. Once inside pictures cannot begin to show the beauty of this property. The hosts have really thought through a guest experience. They went over and beyond hosts duties adding extreme attention to details. Anything and everything you may need or want for your stay was there. Even with all the extra amenities and the beauty of the home our family instantly felt at home. We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next stay.

Our stay with family was a blast! We had beautiful weather for our stay and the front porch was our favorite for hanging out! And the fireplace was nice and cozy on the cooler mornings. The location is so convenient for walking downtown to restaurants and shops. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise!

The home sits on a nice point of land at the end of a quiet road. It is a nice mix of early 20th century charm and modern with spacious living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The living room and large deck allow unobstructed views of the water. The home is well-kept, clean, and includes everything you need for a pleasant getaway. And, it is a short (10 min.) drive to the shops and restaurants in Kilmarnock. A relaxing, recommended stay.

This sweet cottage was so clean and so comfortable. Very comfy beds and living room furniture. The screened in porch and deck had plenty of sitting. It was beautifully decorated and had one of the best well stocked kitchens of any airbnb we have ever stayed at. Great shower and fluffy towels. We spent one day at Havens Beach and were able to take provided beach chairs and beach towels. We also enjoyed eating at Southwinds Pizza in the little town of Matthew’s. Would definitely come back!

Unlike most of Airbnb listings, this place really is a gem. The layout of the home was open, yet private. Each bedroom was perfect and I had a hard time deciding which room I wanted to sleep in. Ultimately, I chose the master bedroom which had a king-size bed, it's own thermostat and a door that led out to the closed in porch that faced the water. Watching the sunrise each morning was worth waking up early for. The kitchen was well equipped and had items that were not listed. The keurig coffee maker had a drip and pod mode and there was coffee available. The yard was large enough that it felt private. Our host was friendly and I felt like I was her personal guest. I definitely would stay here again!

Diana's place was warm and inviting. We loved the historic nature of the little house and the way it was so thoughtfully decorated. The grounds are both secluded and beautiful and there were lots of things to explore. We enjoyed being able to walk to the chairs at the water's edge and watch the sunset over the river. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We are already planning to come back again to the Little House and spend more time in this amazing area.

We loved staying at this beautiful and peaceful house! The house cozy and we felt right at home! It even snowed when we stayed in Delaville! The sunset was gorgeous and it even more amazing with a layer of snow! Would definitely love to come visit again in the summer! Thanks for a lovely weekend!

What a beautiful cottage! My family of four felt right at home! I rented Ashley’s cottage for a quiet family get away and it was exactly what we needed! The house is beautiful and clean just like the photos and checking in was a breeze. The owner is lovely, responsive and thought of every detail. Shopping and dining are just a few miles away. This place is wonderful to just get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. I definitely recommend this home and look forward to visiting again in the future!

My parents and I stayed here for four days. It was the perfect peaceful getaway for us. The place was really cute, two bedrooms with queen size beds, a large bathroom, and the cutest kitchen-living room area. Gloucester is a sweet town to hang out in, and the host gave some great recommendations for local places to check out. Wonderful place, we will be coming back!!

I can't say enough how wonderful it was to stay at this little cottage for my working vacation! I felt right at home when I walked in the door. I arrived right at sunset and the views were just amazing. This is now my go-to place every time I visit the Gloucester County area! Everything was spotless and clean. WiFi was very good (I unfortunately had to work while I was there). The owners James and Ann were amazing, welcoming, responsive and had great communication. I highly recommend this as THE place to stay - I don't think I could have chosen a better spot!! Thank you for having me!

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book.
