Beautiful home with spectacular river and ocean views. Gated and private on two lush acres (with a little waterfall!), but close to town. We saw deer, seals, and so many birds. Loved the details - pleasantly surprising amenities, ready for cooking, clean in every corner, and comfortable beds and furniture. Mark is a great host! We’ll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pelican. It was fabulous to have the ocean views and being able to walk down to the beach. The house was clean and had plenty of space for us to relax. The beds were comfortable and clean. There were three bedrooms; the master was large with its own bathroom and a king size bed, one room with two double size beds and the other room with a queen. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We appreciated being able to park in the garage. We watched movies on the large screen TVs. Hikes in the nearby Redwood state and national parks were closeby. The nearby towns had the groceries and restaurants we needed. We would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the area.

The location of the house is amazing, as is the lake. We saw all kinds of wildlife and enjoyed being able to kayak from the house to the beach and then walk to the ocean. Joseph was quick to respond to any questions and made sure we were well taken care of. I can't express enough how gorgeous this entire area is. The house was amazing and had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a beautiful sunset, this is the house to be in. Fully recommended!

Shirley's unit is beautiful and perched directly above a river running into the ocean. the view from the hot tub is great. Space was perfect for two families with shared kids room. Worth noting there is a rocky drop off to the river below and out back door so need to have attention with younger kids. if you walk down the street a couple minutes there is a path to beach access. love this stretch of coast and we had everything we needed. thanks Shirley for finding a pack and play for us to use!

Absolutely PERFECT!!! We brought our kids for The Redwood forest. This home was just fabulous with extras along the way! Coffee and creamer, plenty of blankets and extra bedding, so extremely clean! Shampoo, conditioner to laundry soap ect. Kitchen had all cooking supplies. The hot tub was fabulous and the views!!!! Very private home. And So super close to the casino. Definitely highly recommend for a beach home 10/10!!!!

This place is beautiful. The kitchen had an amazing view. The bathroom in the master was bathroom goals/dreams. Overlooking the ocean. The walk down to the beach is a little steep but doable. Couple hike within a short drive. Overall would book again. Lots of bathrooms and places to sleep.

The view is unmatched! We had plans to travel the coast each day for sunset but found ourselves just wanting to soak up every sunset we could get from the house! The fire pit and bbq grill made for the perfect sunset vibes! The house was stocked with everything we needed and more! Hosts were very responsive and helpful! We loved our stay and would recommend it to everyone!

We absolutely loved this home! It was clean and the beds were comfortable (which is critical for me). The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet but close to the harbor and everything else. The bathrooms were spacious and well stocked and the hosts were communicative and kind. It really is one our favorite Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed. We would absolutely recommend this home for the perfect stay in Brookings.

Amazing experience. The view is spectacular, the home is stunning. Could not have been better. Their Concierge service is second to none. We did have very high winds and tons of rain while we were there. As noted in their profile page for this home, the home does vibrate slightly in the high wind, but it was never enough to cause concern. Terrific experience!

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay in the China Mountain House due to a disturbance in the water line. This was no fault of Gary’s and he was quick to make other arrangements for us. I would like to visit again and would definitely reach out to Gary.

Spindrift Vista is absolutely amazing. The views alone would make it worth every penny but the cottage is equally spectacular. Sitting in the hot tub at night listening to the ocean was fantastic. Coffee in the morning with endless views was a great way to start the day. The cottage has everything you need and Scott is incredibly respectful and responsive. We highly recommend Spindrift Vista.

Great private getaway. The place is much bigger than the pictures look and it was very cozy. We were there during the bomb cyclone and we didn’t lose any power and the house was a perfect place to be protected from the storm. The beach access was great and with the limited people who have access was great to explore.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The beach was really close and beautiful, and uncrowded . The house has been well maintained and has had loads of extra spaces added. We used their grill which worked great, enjoyed their fireplace and the kids loved the game room. Super convenient to use the garage door for loading and unloading. Lots of parking places and really reasonable pricing! Thanks for the great memories!

Coming up from San Diego I wanted something quiet and peaceful! This place was a wonderful retreat! It was spacious, great views, and the hosts are wonderful! I left so relaxed! The town is cute, and there are some great outdoor activities right around the corner. The locals are super friendly! 15/10 would recommend.

me and my family loved this home. we felt rite at home it was nice waking up and seeing/ hearing the ocean the home was beautiful with everything we needed i will definitely be bringing my family back. also Sherri is one of the best host I have had we got into town early and she made arrangements so me and my family could get in a little early very friendly and helpful thank you again for this adventure with my family.

One the greatest Airbnb stays we’ve had. The hosts were incredibly nice and attentive. The views are AMAZING. House was very clean and a good location. Can’t wait to come back.

The views were absolutely spectacular! We loved every minute of being in this beautiful home as are eyes were always drawn to the see. We didn’t feel pressure to find things to do as the beach is accessible after a short walk and we loved exploring the tide pools. Wonderful place to spend a week and we hope to again soon.
