We felt like family when we arrived and they were so kind and wonderful throughout. The tours they offer are amazing. Would absolutely stay again if given the chance.

Mein Aufenthalt bei Anabell war perfekt. Es ist sehr ruhig, man kann ausgezeichnet entspannen! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat mich positiv umgehauen! Anabell und ihre Familie sind überaus nett und hilfsbereit. Von der Unterkunft erreicht man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß einige Supermärkte. Der Bus von und nach San José hält direkt vor dem Haus. Die Gegend um Sabalito, San Vito, und Agua Buena ist wunderschön und sehr gut zum Wandern geeignet. Mit dem öffentlichen Bus (Cepul) kann man auch sehr entlegene Orte gut erreichen. Ich habe unter anderem eine Nachttour gemacht, bei der ich einzigartige und endemische Spezies gesehen habe. Auf meinen Wanderungen, in Fila Tigre und von San Vito nach San Francisco über die Bergkette habe ich zahlreiche Vogelarten und Echsen sowie Frösche gesehen. Besuchen Sie diese Gegend um Coto Brus, denn sie ist sehr von netten Menschen geprägt! Überall wird man gegrüßt und herzlich empfangen.

We used Vistadrakelodge to stay in Drake Bay on our way to and from an overnight trip to Corcovado Preserve. We stayed a relaxed extra day after, swinging in the hammocks on the deck overlooking the sea. It had lovely views of the sea, birds and monkeys in its gardens and trees. And much enjoyed air conditioning! Emilio was great, met us at the boat from Sierpe to take us up the short hill from the beach, even though it would have been an easy 5 minute walk. He offered to take us to his farm to walk in nature but we were too tired to take the offer. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. He can also help arrange local boat tours and arranged our return trip back to Sierpe. Easy walk to several restaurants in town and the beach.

We spent 5 nights in Drake Bay in March 2017 : 2 nights close to the Drake beach in Agujitas and 3 nights in Casa Drake. This place is very peaceful ! Edward, our host is very kind and warm. This is a lodge built and drive by a family and all this family will help you to spend a really good moment in Osa Peninsula. This place is quieter than other lodges close to the beach in which you can be disturb by motorcycle. Edward will help you to plan your trip in Corcovado Park, or a horse ride to a beautiful waterfall ! And Edward's mum is the best cooker that we met during our trip in Costa Rica ! Her breakfast and dinner are absolutely delicious ! Well we spent a really good moment in this lodge and I hardly recommand this place.

We had an absolutely great stay at Cabanas Jiménez. Gabby was fantastic and gave us great recommendations upon check in. We arrived a bit early and they watched our bags while we explored the grounds and walked downtown for lunch. You can’t beat the location and the rooms were spacious and had AC which we weren’t expecting. It’s on the water, yet walkable to downtown, the airport and the boat docks. We used both the kayaks and the bikes that were provided and it gave us an awesome chance to explore more. Everyone that worked there was extremely friendly, even staff that were working on the grounds. We also loved meeting the dogs and watching them play at low tide. Lucky was a sweetie. We would definitely stay here again. Relaxing time.

Amazing room in a small hotel, we felt at home right away. They did not communicate with us via the app, however we just dropped by the hotel, and despite booking only about 15minutes in advance, they were ready to check us in. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, and patiently explained everything about the local tours and what to see in the area, and she even contacted a few local operators to ask about options and prices. Regarding the room, it was spotless clean and nicely decorated, very welcoming with a comfortable bed and had everything we needed. Also it had the nicest terrace adjacent to the room, with even a sofa, that we used as much as we could in our short stay. The only point of improvement to the room would be the bathroom door that didn´t open fully without hitting the toilet basin, which made going in and out of the toilet a bit strange, and perhaps the breakfast was a bit basic, but definitely recommend this place overall, great sleep and great stay!

Andre’s place is definitely stunning! We came from Drake bay, the boat drop us close by, Andre and his uncle picked us up by car. The wooden cabin hides among the palm trees and flowers, parrots jumping on top of the almond trees. In the back of the cabin we have a beautiful open meditation room. Facing the wild. We even observed Tucan during dinner time! The hotel also offers free kayak, you can paddle all the way to the ocean... a paradise waterfall is also near by. Everything here reminds us how free and beautiful life is. Last but not least, Andre and his family are wonderful. Thank you so much!

Nos encantó el lugar! Definitivamente volveríamos de nuevo! Me ayudaron a conseguir un instructor de surf y la lección fue muy buena!

The cabin is in a small and laidback resort. There is a yoga shala, and the staff can help with booking tours and more. The location is very remote (twenty minute walk on the beach), so it's adviced to pack light. It's also a beautiful place, with a big private beach but also in the jungle. We observed all kinds of animals, including macaws and monkeys. There are no nearby restaurants, but there are meals in the resort at extra cost. All in all a great place, and we would have loved to stay longer if we could.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, insoweit man sich bewusst ist, dass die Unterkunft außerhalb der Stadt ist. Wir waren so begeistert von der Unterkunft, dass wir direkt unseren Aufenthalt verlängert haben. :)

Ces quelques mots posés ici ne sauraient exprimer le plaisir que nous avons eu à séjourner chez Keiko et Greg. Nos hôtes étaient d’une bienveillance extrême, nous avons partagé nos dîner avec eux, ce fut de très bons moments de partage. Le chef nous a préparé d’excellents repas (étant végétarienne, il a pris soin de proposer des menus qui convenaient) : petit déjeuner et dîners et nous le remercions très sincèrement. Nos hôtes nous ont transmis leur amour pour cet endroit où nous nous sommes sentis privilégiés. Nos deux jours passés ici semblaient hors du temps. La vue sur la lagune, l’océan et la forêt était exceptionnelle, et la vue depuis la piscine sur un ciel incroyablement étoilé était indescriptible. Nous avions la sensation d’être seuls au monde, immergés dans une nature sauvage ou l’homme n’a pas encore laissé d indélébiles traces. Dans la propriété nous avons pu admirer des Aras, des capucins, des coatis, des rapaces… Ces deux jours ici ont été les plus incroyables.

Superbe endroit très propre, un accueil chaleureux. Le seul petit bémol serait que nous étions trois et de la vaisselle pour deux. Je recommande cette endroit magnifique.

Naše zkušenost s tímto ubytováním byla naprosto jedinečná. Nachází se na jednom z nejkrásnějších míst na Kostarice, s dechberoucími výhledy, které si budete chtít pamatovat navždy. Majitel je opravdový srdcař, který do svého ubytování vkládá nejen energii, ale i velké srdce. Nejenže nám pomohl s plánováním výletu do džungle, ale sdílel i cenné tipy, které nám umožnily poznat okolí z perspektivy místních. Bylo vidět, že mu na hostech opravdu záleží. Za tu cenu jsme dostali víc, než jsme očekávali – autentický zážitek, přátelskou atmosféru a výhledy, které by mohly konkurovat těm z luxusních resortů. Pokud hledáte místo, které má duši, určitě doporučuji. Tohle místo je poklad!

No frills type place that is well Maintained and clean. Michael is a great host and the location is awesome. We played a lot of ping pong.
