I stayed about a week at Anna's place and had a great time. It's located right on a tributary to the Sierpe river, with a private dock, and the wildlife viewing was amazing. I saw white-faced monkeys in a tree right outside the window, iguanas, and many interesting birds. The entire upper flat is included, and it's very light and pleasant. It took me a little while to figure out the front door, and the wifi on the website was not accurate, but Anna helped me sort those out very quickly. Also, the neighbors were very friendly and helpful. The refrigerator and freezer were not as cold as normal, but it was adequate for me. I would definitely stay there again.

Nous avons adoré nos vacances dans cette maison. Jim, Jean-Simon et Anne-Marie nous ont donné beaucoup d’informations très utiles et nous ont aidé tout au long du séjour. Ils étaient vraiment aux petits soins et à l’écoute. La maison est superbe et très propre. La piscine et la vue incroyable sont un must! La maison est située dans une communauté sécurisée, sur le dessus de la montagne, en pleine jungle. Nous avons donc eu la chance de voir plusieurs animaux tout autour de la maison (singes, toucans, oiseaux, papillons). On peut marcher plus loin sur le chemin pour découvrir une belle chute et un autre point de vue magnifique sur la vallée et la mer. Nous avons pu y voir plusieurs papillons morpho bleus. Magnifique! L’épicerie, les restos sont à environ 15-20 minutes (Uvita-Ojochal), il y a aussi un dépanneur tout près. L’emplacement est donc idéal pour les gens cherchant la tranquillité tout en étant à portée de tous les services. Une voiture 4x4 est requise.

Die Unterkunft liegt nur ein paar Meter von einem kilometerlangen Strand entfernt, der fast nur dir gehört. Obwohl er ein öffentlicher Strand ist, sind fast keine Menschen dort aufzufinden. Also einfach perfekt! Die Unterkunft sieht genauso aus wie auf den Fotos und Cara ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Sie empfängt einen sehr freundlich und ist sehr kommunikativ. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen!

Super charming place surrounded by beautiful gardens! Every morning, we had flocks of parrots plus macaws, songbirds and nearby monkeys. The main space gets hot. The fan helped...and sometimes we were grateful to retreat to the bedroom for AC. Still, we liked the combo of open-air living in the main space and cool bedroom which also served as a pleasant workspace. The kitchen has a nice frig and the basics but you have to be creative if you cook. The bedroom is spacious with tons of closet space. The linens are wonderful and a Tempur-pedic pad made the bed a perfect soft-yet-firm. There IS hot water; ask Rosa for a new gas tank - same for the stove. WiFi went out a few times, but they were quick to address things we needed and Rosa (Jenny’s mom) is a delight.  The neighborhood is quiet & secure. Airport is 1km away & quiet. Wonderful nearby beaches, a few nice restaurants and grocery. Favs: Aventura Cafe & Marisqueria. Playas: Preciosa, Juanito Mora (swimming), Backwash/Carbonera.

Andrew, I can’t THANK YOU and your family enough for providing us with such an AMAZING OSA experience….. much of which we enjoyed from the comfort of “our home” at Chosa Manglar!!!!! From the warm welcome, inclusive of fresh bouquets of native flowers, to a well stocked (and GREATLY APPRECIATED!) refrigerator, you gave us wonderful advice, dinner recommendations, suggestions for activities/beaches, etc. and when our Corcovado tour unexpectedly fell through, you picked up your phone, made one call and made the magic happen!!!! We were lucky to see amazing wildlife during our 10 day stay. TO THE ROOF…. We would shout whenever we saw or heard monkeys, macaws or sloths! The wildlife was amazing & when needed for house issues, you & your staff were ALWAYS THERE! Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! ☺️ PURA VIDA!!! 🤙🐢🐬🦜🦥🦋🐍

Adventure in Paradise! Thanks Adolf, your place is in an amazing location. The drive to the house gets you into holiday mood. Great sunsets and amazing wildlife. We saw Howler and the Capuchin monkeys in the trees surrounding the house. The Toucans greeted us every morning. Great pool and great clean trail to amazing waterfalls where you can spot the Morpho butterflies. When you love nature this is it. PURA VIDA!

Words cannot describe our experience at Candelilla. Pictures do not do the villa justice. The view is breathtaking, the property is exquisite, the landscaping is impeccable and not a stone is left unturned. Greg and Dave were exceptional. The nicest hosts I have ever met! Always at our service to book excursions and reservations and to accommodate our every need. We came to experience the country and the view, but did not expect to make such great friends in the process. Everything was even better than advertised. It was clear that with more than 10 years of experience, they have truly thought of everything and put the guest first in every way possible. For that, we are forever greatful:) We wish we could have met Tiki, but we’re sure she would have been just as great! This was the trip of a lifetime, and the service was truly the highlight. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking to get away and get a local experience in one of the most beautiful countries on earth!

Einfach magisch und wunderschön. Wir haben unsere Zeit Woche in der Casa Zenn geliebt und hoffen irgendwann wiederzukommen. Dieser Ort ist einfach etwas ganz besonderes. Super liebe Gastgeber, tolle Umgebung und ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem atemberaubenden Garten. Morgens bei einem Kaffee den Tukanen und Affen zuzuschauen ist einfach etwas Besonderes. An manchen Tagen haben wir einfach nur den Garten und den Pool genossen. Absolute Empfehlung.

Beautiful property with an ‘end of the road’ feeling. Squirrel monkeys and toucans were frequent visitors!

Extremely clean and cozy getaway, close enough to the beach but nestled in the jungle hills. Equipped with everything we needed, private and quiet. Stunning waterfall hike and wildlife on the property and friendly neighbors. Excellent service from start to finish and even included veggie delivery from the garden. Would love to go back to refresh and relax again in the future! Need 4x4 to get there, dog friendly.

This house is truly unique and absolutely beautiful. It is secluded, safe and private with fantastic views up into the trees all around. We heard and saw many beautiful birds including a pair of red macaws who visited everyday. Also humming birds, toucans, vultures, spider monkeys every day, coatis, lesser anteater, poison dart frogs, lizards and heard howler monkeys and got a brief glimpse of one in the distance. They can sound quite scary but they are not threatening at all. A key feature (see photos) is that there are no windows or doors in this place so be prepared for nature to have full access! There is also a nice lookout platform with a wonderful view of the sea- it is also a bit cooler up there in the wood. Carlos is a fantastic host, very inspiring and generous with his time. He will tell you with enormous enthusiasm about nature all around. A lady comes to clean most days and also gave wonderful massages. We all had a truly fantastic stay! Don't miss it- highly recommend
