We enjoyed our stay at Mark and Chelsea’s cabin. The spa and flat back yard were lovely. Everything was cozy. My only suggestion would be to offer guests the garage during winter. This was the first cabin we stayed in where the garage was not offered to us as guests and we spent a lot of time shoveling and blowing snow to get our car out of the 44 inches of snow that accumulated constantly over our 3 night stay. That combined with the long steep driveway and the plow blocking us in each day by dumping the driveway snow in front of the parked car outside the garage wasn’t totally ideal, but on the bright side the powder was amazing for skiing, sledding, and building snowmen so hard to complain too much bc we had a great trip!

Was a perfect place for our golf group. We had a great time and Walt was an exceptional communicator and host. Cant wait to go back next year!

Fantastic place to stay, especially for young kids. Extra bunk beds, toys, step stools, crib, sleds in the yard - the kids felt like they were at Disneyland. The place was also spotless, and extremely well stocked. No shortage of soap, towels, TP, paper towels, etc. Overall, it was a great stay and we would stay here again!

Beautiful home, with chefs kitchen, pool table, and hot tub. Would definitely stay again!!!

I grew up in Quincy so I know how beautiful and peaceful it is in Plumas County. Even so, this location has some kind of magic. Every window has a great view, l loved cooking on the gourmet stove, the house is steps away from Spanish Creek. There is a spectacular train track in the sky which is an engineering masterpiece. If you enjoy reading on a window seat, it’s downstairs in a sun filled room waiting for you. My husband and I will be back. The driveway entrance off the highway is super sketchy, but the second time we drove it was easier, that was the single issue we had with the property.

My friends and I were spending a few days in Downieville for Mountain Biking. Evan’s place was perfect. It was close to the town and bike shop, and restaurants. It was easy to find and a binder with instructions for everything is inside the home. We neglected to read the parking instructions because they were buried a ways back in the binder. We parked in the wrong spot initially but then a neighbor told us we needed to move. I found the instructions and moved and then put the instructions closer to the front of the binder.

Always a great experience at this location.

Brandon and Lisa were great hosts, they were prompt in responding to our queries. They have a beautiful cozy place, and we were in love with it especially with a lot of snow covered surroundings. The place was easy to find, had a dedicated parking spot, was clean and tidy. The view from bedroom was great, waking up to snow filled surroundings. Overall an easy recommendation!

Great space, close to town and skiing! Attentive host, would stay again.

Everything was in good shape! We could tell the home was well loved. It was very convenient for the downhill slopes at Tahoe-donner, and had plenty of games / entertainment options inside, as well as enough space, to handle time indoors. Would recommend, especially for any families with kids.

Great spot - perfect for my kids to walk to ski/snowboard lessons and play in the snow.
