It was a pleasure to stay at Alice's house. Everything was extremely tidy, well-organized, and her house is well appointed. I especially appreciated the kitchen, it was well-equipped, better than similar rentals. Alice was super responsive and kind. She allowed us to check in early which helped with the weather. The hot tub was an excellent addition. We are repeat visitors to this area, because it is minutes from Royal Gorge, which is a fantastic cross-country ski resort. It is also close to Sugar Bowl for those who downhill.

We had a really lovely stay at Cassundra's place. Extremely well-stocked kitchen and has all the creature comforts you might need for a weekend getaway. The personal touches were very appreciated. The outdoor patio space in the mornings is a great place to have coffee and watch the wildlife.

Really cool cabin near some mining monuments and history

Ben's house is a beauty! Our family loved our stay there and felt immediately at home. It's a great location to explore Nevada City and other cool little towns, hike along the Yuba River and get your snow fix nearby. Thanks Ben!

I grew up in Quincy so I know how beautiful and peaceful it is in Plumas County. Even so, this location has some kind of magic. Every window has a great view, l loved cooking on the gourmet stove, the house is steps away from Spanish Creek. There is a spectacular train track in the sky which is an engineering masterpiece. If you enjoy reading on a window seat, it’s downstairs in a sun filled room waiting for you. My husband and I will be back. The driveway entrance off the highway is super sketchy, but the second time we drove it was easier, that was the single issue we had with the property.

My friends and I were spending a few days in Downieville for Mountain Biking. Evan’s place was perfect. It was close to the town and bike shop, and restaurants. It was easy to find and a binder with instructions for everything is inside the home. We neglected to read the parking instructions because they were buried a ways back in the binder. We parked in the wrong spot initially but then a neighbor told us we needed to move. I found the instructions and moved and then put the instructions closer to the front of the binder.

Our family had a great time in Nevada City! The home was perfect, lots of unique spaces to play and sleep including 2 loft spaces. We especially enjoyed the vintage games and wall of VHS tapes. We made several fires in the wood fired stove and cooked lots of delicious meals. We brought essentials but the kitchen is already fairly well stocked. From the home we took a 1 hr day trip to Tahoe and then spent a day in Nevada City and a day in Grass Valley. lots to see and do including some delicious restaurants and vintage bars. Overall we had a very fun time in the spacious home!

This property offers an exceptional experience, perfectly situated for skiiers. The well-maintained and thoughtfully designed home provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Professional housekeeping ensures a spotless stay, and the cozy sofa bed and high-quality mattress guarantee restful nights. Plus, the excellent soundproofing made it a truly peaceful retreat, especially appreciated by our family with young children. The host was exceptionally responsive and friendly, providing clear instructions and demonstrating flexibility with check-in/check-out times.

Elizabeth’s place is fantastic! It is right in the heart of Northstar Village, so it is super easy to get to everything. It is literally steps away from where the check in location is located and very convenient to drop offs / pick ups for the village. Getting to the gondola, epic gear rentals, and all of the restaurants are just a few minutes walk away. And her place is so cute- great furnishings and details throughout. Plus, Elizabeth was so responsive and nice throughout the entire experience. Such a great host- I would definitely recommend!

Awesome spot in the Northstar Village. Great for family looking to make it easy to get the kids on the mountain without driving and parking. Absolutely recommend and we will be back. Easy access to everything in the village and love being across from Cooper provisions, the local store with everything you might have forgotten (food, coffee, sunscreen, drinks, etc) There is a washer / dryer on the floor of the condo but bring quarters as those were hard to come by in a cashless Northstar ;)

Great spot - perfect for my kids to walk to ski/snowboard lessons and play in the snow.

Peggy's place was a charming getaway. The garden area was beautiful and it was extremely relaxing under the stars in the hot tub at night. The town itself is beautiful and looks like a fairytale suspended in time. Peggy was a great host and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again!

My wife and I used this location while riding the bike park. The location is quiet and peaceful. Tucked away in the trees, yet a short walk to the village. A bike run goes right by, so the unit can serve as a pit stop on the way back to the gondola. Easy drive to Truckee, we did it everyday we were there. Wonderful hot tubs to soak in at the end of the day.

We had a great time at Michelle's place. We skied at Donner Ski Ranch so the location was ideal. A snow storm was getting ready to arrive and Michelle was super helpful and flexible in helping us figure out what to do in case we were delayed in leaving. Overall a great stay!

We had a great stay at Lori’s place. The condo was as described, with plenty of space and close to the Northstar shuttle stop. The shuttle was easy to request and usually available within a few minutes even during ski week. One morning we did have to wait 15 minutes, but that was unusual. Lori was responsive when we needed help with something. We would happily stay again.

We went up with a family of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. The home was incredibly clean, location was easy to find, check in and out was very simple and easy. The neighborhood is incredibly clean, quiet, and relaxing. Brooke was incredibly nice and responsive to anything we needed. We will definitely be coming back.

My family and I had the intention of using this house for our day trip to the snow. However, the home and the property were so nice, we decided to just stay in and enjoy the amenities. All the guest absolutely loved the space and can’t wait to come back again in the future. The hosts are super nice and communicative. The space felt so peaceful, clean, and luxurious. My all time favorite home I’ve stayed in on this app. Thank you for being such great hosts.

Wonderful stay for a group of 8 there for snowboarding. It had all of my “musts”: 1. Convenient access to village/gondola - using the Northstar app you can request the bus to come right in front of the house 2. Great, spacious, well equipped/updated kitchen with big dining table - we love cooking our family style breakfasts and dinners 3. Multiple rooms and bathrooms - each room had its own full bathroom! 4. Big, functioning hot tub that was right there on the deck and easy to get to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is easily the best place where we stayed at the Northstar village. Not just because of the location, since we did stay in other very close by, but mainly due to Brian and Diana’s attention to detail, focus on their guests and super fast communication. I don’t have a single thing to say in terms of opportunities to improve, everything is thought for and taken care of for you. I hope it’s always available on my future trips, I won’t look elsewhere.

The panoramic view was spectacular. So high that there were days the clouds were floating below us. 30 stairs from the lower bedroom to main. Great if you want to lose weight! Loved the comfortable beds and the jacuzzi with a view was so pampering after a day of hiking. This house is the perfect place to just CHILL! Read a book or 2 , sit on one of the patios and sip some wine. It feels like you are on top of the world - because you are! You can feel the calming spirit of nature in the homey surroundings. One of the best VRBO's we have stayed.
