We absolutely loved this location, the size of the lot, the older house with kid friendly spaces and fun stuff to do at the house. We never felt like we had to say "do not touch anything!" to the kids. Being that it is kid and family friendly, it has a used for love kind of vibe. Super responsive host, accommodating and kind. Would be great for a group with several families because it is large inside and out. 5 stars are for perfection and on many levels this was. Some things we cleaned better then it was when we arrived. This was great for our pack of feral boys and a snow play weekend. Would 100% recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful house with gorgeous views. We came to Auburn for a family reunion with our adult children and elderly mom. Lots of room for us to spread out. Backyard is very peaceful.

Asha's place is truly magical! The land is special and rejuvenating and she has clearly put a lot of work into cultivating it. I loved the gardens, the house and being in the forest. Very clean and comfortable. Feels like you are in the woods, but still very close to town. Could even see snow capped mountains!!! Asha is an awesome host and I highly recommend staying here.

We had such a wonderful stay at Clare's home. The hosue is comfortable and the pool was perfect for beating the summer heat! The door to the pool is off the family rooom area but it is easily closable for keeping young kids away from teh pool if needed. The house is tastefully decorated with some homey additions like books and toys. We found it difficult to choose where to sit-- outside on the front porch or our by the pool lounge area. Although the house is not close enough to town to walk the location is very central and wooded. The view out the back is really wonderful. This is a great place for a family or anyone looking for an authentic Nevada City stay. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Her large home was perfect for our group!! We loved the additional separate lodging space which worked well for a couple of us that wanted a little space from the larger group. Would definitely stay again!!

Great location, close to downtown NC but also very peaceful in the woods. Spacious home with high ceiling and good amenities, including pool and jacuzzi. The only downside is the living room was pretty dark and no bright light for reading at night.

Lovely place! Well supplied kitchen, we especially appreciated the induction stove. The whole place was clean comfortable and cozy (especially the sauna on a rainy day)!

The house and locaion were beautiful and we felt very comfortable from the minute we arrived.

My husband and I stayed at Amelia's for a much needed getaway. It was the perfect location for us to just relax, walk into town for food/coffee/shopping, and get some planning done for the year ahead. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole house was so clean and well taken care of. Amelia was quick to respond to questions and had detailed instructions with clear pictures to help us find our way and park in the correct space.

Host (Darby) was incredibly informative and detailed on check in, check out and our stay. STELLAR location, right outside of downtown Nevada City, everything is a quick walk away.

Diann was a great host. She even set us hot with a realtor before our stay. The Airbnb was one of the nicer ones we’ve stayed in. We loved how open it was. The bed was unusually comfortable for an Airbnb. The sofa bed was nice too. Ping pong table was super fun. And the dryer was a great amenity since we needed to dry our jackets after getting rained on.

The place was just as expected from the images. Totally recommend it. Went in February. It rained the entire time we were there, but we enjoyed our time indoors. The house is spacious, lots of room to enjoy the stay. The kitchen has a commercial looking stove which was nice for cooking, there is a main sink along with a bar sink which helped out. The kitchen is stocked with enough kitchen supplies for normal usage. The refrigerator worked well, the oven worked nicely and the dishwasher did a nice job cleaning the dishes. There is a nice walk in pantry which helped. There is a large mud room (which I’m sure would be very helpful and needed in the summer months). Each bedroom had plenty of room and the restrooms were well maintained. The only minor thing is that a few of the beds squeaked a little when you moved around as you slept and not as comfortable as you would like. The master room bed was comfortable. The host Tami was excellent with communication. Would not mind coming back!

Beautifully decorated home. Immaculate. Lots of natural light and surrounded by nature. It was just what I needed for my long weekend in Grass Valley.

Liked the house. The kitchen is well stocked. The bathroom layout is a little unusual. Both bathrooms are adjoining to each other so you need to make sure the door between them is locked. Great responsive host.

Jess’ place was both incredibly well designed and cozy at the same time. It was immaculately clean, had a well stocked kitchen and was a perfect distance to the main drag in town. In addition, Jess was the most responsive and flexible host - answering all our many questions and asks for local recommendations (we were staying with a big family and kids over Christmas). Would 100% stay here again!

Vicky's place was awesome, perfect for a family and friends weekend. The kitchen is well stocked and we loved the huge dining table. Beds are comfortable and the couch was big enough for all of us to fit after a long day of skiing! The house is in beautiful, serene surrounding, with huge backyard. We will be back.

House is great for a friend or family weekend getaway! House is big with enough beds for everyone and the house has everything you need for a weekends stay! Beautiful surroundings and not too far from Truckee.

Super cute house, great location you can walk anywhere downtown Grass Valley. Everything else is very local and easy to get to. Private parking space to pull into and parking on the street as well. House is clean and inviting! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Daphne!

It was very cold when we arrived, but the heaters quickly heated up the place. We liked being close to downtown Nevada City which had many charming stores and restaurants. We all liked our beds and they were comfortable. I'd say the full size bed was the most comfortable. You did have to wait awhile for the hot water to kick in. There were plenty of towels. Thank you so much.

We felt very lucky to stay at Linda's beautifull and well appointed house. It struck a great balance between a warm, homey place combined with a clean, non personal space. the house itself, a charming Victorian, felt antique but the kitchen and bathroom were very modern. The kitchen was well stocked, and using the laundry machine was a life saver. Our kids loved the well maintained and quirky garden. Lastly, we loved how walkable the neighborhood was, close to a market and restaurants but just blocks away from a forest. We would definitely stay there again.

Ben's house is a beauty! Our family loved our stay there and felt immediately at home. It's a great location to explore Nevada City and other cool little towns, hike along the Yuba River and get your snow fix nearby. Thanks Ben!

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home. It’s so comfortable and cozy and has lots of great space for family to hang out, cooking meals, play games, and watch movies. I love being able to bring the dogs and it’s very well set up for that. We also found a lovely hike along the railroad track and threw an old graveyard into the little historic town of Dutch flat. That was really nice.

The house was lovely and well-appointed. it was a little tricky to find arriving after dark. It was also not easy to get from the driveway to the front door in the dark. The motion detector light doesn't stay on long enough to make it all the way. We found the accommodations comfortable and Lucy the cat was awesome. Quite the hostess! It was not noted in the listing, but it was communicated before we arrived that the house is shoes off. We were able to work with that but would have preferred it be called out in the home listing.

This is our second stay here and it was amazing again. We feel so at home there. This time i was able to utilize the outdoor spaces and loved it.
