We had such a great stay! The property was perfect for our family getaway—our kids especially loved the trampoline and the hot tub (they barely wanted to come inside!). Our Doberman, Lincoln, had the best time playing fetch in the large open space—it was such a treat to find a spot that’s truly dog-friendly. Melissa was a delightful host—super responsive and thoughtful. She even set up a fun scavenger hunt for the kids to find hidden gnomes around the property, which they absolutely loved. It’s little touches like that that made our stay really special. We’d love to come back again. Highly recommend!

I love this place so much! This was my second little retreat here this season. Always clean, comfy, and beautiful, and a wonderful place to relax. Asha is a lovely host—very helpful, responsive, and considerate. When there was a minor issue with one of the appliances, she got it fixed right away. I’m sure I’ll be back!

Really appreciated the accommodations and scenic surroundings. Most airbnbs say full kitchen, but we really loved staying here because they were actually stocked with everything we could need to cook! Between the grilling utensils, mixing bowls, seasoning rack, air fryer, various cutting boards, and even down to the citrus squeezer, we had a great relaxing weekend at this home. The hot tub & outdoor patio were also very nice — a perfect way to kick off the spring season.

We had such a wonderful stay at Clare's home. The hosue is comfortable and the pool was perfect for beating the summer heat! The door to the pool is off the family rooom area but it is easily closable for keeping young kids away from teh pool if needed. The house is tastefully decorated with some homey additions like books and toys. We found it difficult to choose where to sit-- outside on the front porch or our by the pool lounge area. Although the house is not close enough to town to walk the location is very central and wooded. The view out the back is really wonderful. This is a great place for a family or anyone looking for an authentic Nevada City stay. Highly recommend!

Dan and Laura were very kind and responded quickly and honestly to all the questions we had leading up to our trip as well as during our trip. The house was beautiful. It worked perfectly for our group of 12 adults. We really appreciated the convenience of multiple bathrooms. My guests enjoyed the beautiful open kitchen, the large size tv in the living room, the downstairs entertainment room, and the hot tub the most. Thank you so much for being wonderful hosts! It made my milestone birthday that much more special.(:

Great location, close to downtown NC but also very peaceful in the woods. Spacious home with high ceiling and good amenities, including pool and jacuzzi. The only downside is the living room was pretty dark and no bright light for reading at night.

We had the most wonderful time in Marilyn and David's gorgeous home. The home is very large and accommodated our large group perfectly with plenty of large gathering spaces and private areas as well. The pool and hot tub are awesome. It even has a phonograph which was awesome and we enjoyed and danced to!! The entire property has a panoramic view of the foothills and is breathtaking and perfect for star gazing. Highly recommend!! Thanks so much for everything!!! The Wheelers

Amazing time at this magical place! So relaxing, lots of space to roam outside and even inside the house. My family really enjoyed the movie room and spacious kitchen, packed with all supplies you’d need. We ended up driving 40 minutes to COD Creek Falls to explore, so worth the beautiful hike to a waterfall. I would like to note for transparency that hot tub and sauna do not get/stay as hot as I am used to (older models) the value of everything was still worth all 5 stars overall! this home is truly an escape. the minimalist and modern decor feel soothing and peaceful. we loved waking up with the sunlight filtering through the beautiful trees surrounding the home. we appreciated how clean and welcoming the place felt. we were just traveling through and didn't get to explore the area but just enjoying the restful home makes us want to go back.

Our host was extremely flexible on check-in and checkout. We greatly appreciated it. Lovely home lovely surroundings.. the spring flowers were out the dog trees were in bloom and maple trees were vibrant red. Loved being out in nature, enjoying my family for our special time. Jess’ place was both incredibly well designed and cozy at the same time. It was immaculately clean, had a well stocked kitchen and was a perfect distance to the main drag in town. In addition, Jess was the most responsive and flexible host - answering all our many questions and asks for local recommendations (we were staying with a big family and kids over Christmas). Would 100% stay here again!

Vicky's place was awesome, perfect for a family and friends weekend. The kitchen is well stocked and we loved the huge dining table. Beds are comfortable and the couch was big enough for all of us to fit after a long day of skiing! The house is in beautiful, serene surrounding, with huge backyard. We will be back.

Great, spacious home in the forest. Immediately off highway 20 with a short drive to Nevada City. Tons of space in the bedrooms and common areas. Nice outdoors yard with lots of trees and shade.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Our boys loved the upstairs room with the two twin beds (although if they were smaller I might have worried about them on the stairs, as there is no railing for the last several steps). We loved the cozy fireplace and the hot tub, and enjoyed not having to use our car at all once we arrived— plenty to see and do in walking distance, including a nice park for the dog and kids. I really enjoyed our stay here. It’s really close to town. The house is comfortable and we felt right at home. She has small things like makeup towels, sharp knives, and nice pots. I also really appreciate the quality and scents of the cleaning products and toiletries. It’s beautifully decorated and the yard is big enough for a dog or your children to run around. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Catherine stands out as a host who feels a special connection to the home she shares on Airbnb. She clearly loves the place and is invested in the best possible outcome for everyone. It's more than just a business to her. We did some cooking and baking in the kitchen and felt wowed by how well stocked the kitchen is. It had everything we needed and then some. The home maintains the charm of its history, which we loved. Downtown Grass Valley is so, so nice, and it's just a short walk from A Victorian Rose. I especially appreciated Catherine's recommendation of Caroline's Cafe. That's our kind of cafe, top to bottom. We visited at least four times! Grass Valley itself is such a lovely destination. Five stars all around!

Linda’s place is the perfect blend of an older Victorian feel and more modern kitchen, floors, A/C if needed. It’s incredibly peaceful with numerous sitting areas to read a book, enjoy a cup of coffee, have a chat about life, or indulge in a glass of wine and appetizers. Always something new on the expansive garden that you didn’t notice before. Just a wonderful little getaway…and friendly neighbors while out walking the neighborhood, which all just adds to a really special place. Thank you Linda and we hope to be back!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property with our large family. There were plenty of activities for the kids and the host was incredibly accommodating, hospitable, and easy to reach. A couple of things to note: there is a large wooden staircase separating the house which made it a bit tricky with the real little ones and one of the full-size beds is in an open space without a door. These weren’t issues for us but might be worth considering for others. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and we’re so grateful to the host for their kindness and attentiveness!

It was a great stay that can host 10+ people. It’s in the woods, quite surrounding and just off the freeway. Home has all the facilities. As we went during winter time, we didn’t venture out.

This was the first AirBnB we stayed in where the photos and description were exactly what we got! We were incredibly impressed with Leah’s home. The details and interior design, had us feeling like we were in a model home (better than our own which made us feel extra special)! The size was perfect for our family, plus our pup. The hot tub was delightful. The trails at the bottom of the hill were the chef’s kiss to the perfect stay. Truly unforgettable. Lots of stairs and steep hillsides, so not the easiest for anyone elderly. There was not a microwave, but the appliances and extra touches that Leah had in her home were worth missing the convenience of quickly heating something up. We truly loved this home and the experience so so so much (and so did our pup)!
