the host did an amazing job at listing all activities and surrounding locations for food and entertainment. there is so much to do in the area. waking up every day to a beautiful beach view, a 1 minute walk to the beach and the water is so warm. we ate almost every day at Il chioso, they do great food. all of the nearby restaurants were great. we loved our trip and want to move to Cairns! the kids had a great time in the pool and they slept so well because they were worn out from swimming and exploring all day!

The house is a little cottage with lovely wooden floors & furnishings, tasteful decorations, rugs, linen etc. Nice & airy. The location is perfect - just out of town away from the hurly-burly, but still accessible. Just opposite the Freshwater station, very convenient to catch the Kuranda train; buses into town every hour (roughly). Christina and her dog Mia are lovely hosts, and I have felt very much at home, and very welcome. A wonderful place to stay.

Really lovely self-contained villa. Very close to the beach, bus stop and Foodworks. Good value for money and hosts were easily contactable and accommodating.

Unsere Cabin war für einen zweitägigen Aufenthalt wirklich perfekt. Sauber, modern und alles wie auf den Bildern. Der Platz ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal freundlich. Besonders der Wohn- und Badezimmerbereich ist wirklich top! Die Küche ist wie auf den Bildern zu sehen recht klein, das sollte man bedenken (kein Kochfeld, keine scharfen Messer etc.). Wir würden wiederkommen ☺️

We loved our stay! Amazing price for what we got- had everything we needed. The house was lovely and clean and the hosts were so responsive and also made check in incredibly easy considering we couldn’t give them a good estimate of when we arrived. We had a car but location was close to the ferry port, shops and a cafe so was easy to get from place to place. We would deffo stay again!

My boyfriend and I fell in love with this place! Kuranda is an absolutely beautiful town. It’s very laid back with great coffee, chocolate and lots of wildlife centres. Denis’ place was a picturesque 30 minute walk from the town centre which is easily done. We came in rainy season so Denis was very responsive and accommodating and kindly gave us some umbrellas at request (much needed!) and even picked us up from the bus stop to take us to his place when we first arrived. The accommodation itself is perfect for a couple, all the amenities you could need and it was spotless. The bird watching deck was lovely to sit with a glass of wine and birdwatch on when the sun came out. We didn’t manage to see the Cassowary however we did see lots of wonderful butterflies, birds and wallabies. They do have a cassowary in the local bird sanctuary so we didn’t miss out! I can’t recommend this place enough.

Toma's tiny house is one of the most well appointed airbnbs we have stayed in. It is beautiful, immaculate and full of gorgeous, well designed touches. It's perfect for a weekend getaway. We've stayed their twice now!

Perfect little spot to enjoy the quiet at Hideaway Bay! Place has everything you need. Is quite cozy inside but you'll spend most of your time on the deck or at the beach! Price is a little bit high but that's to be expected for the area and the location. I would happily pay it again. Also, it's worth it instead of staying at Airlie Beach!! We loved our stay here. Beautiful location, very peaceful, plenty of wildlife to see. Jill and Peter were great hosts and very helpful.

A great spot for nature lovers. We saw a platypus almost as soon as we walked to the viewing spot over the river! Yu and Yayoi were both apologetic for the rain (it's not called the Wet Tropics for nothing) but the weather did nothing to diminish the beautiful surrounds. The property itself was clean, well-equipped and great value, a short drive from both Malanda and Yungaburra.

We absolutely loved our stay - thank you so much. Within easy reach of Airlie Beach and so quiet giving the opportunity to relax and enjoy the fabulous surroundings. We loved sitting out watching the local wildlife - with a glass of fizz, kindly provided too. The facilities were superb - will definitely be back and recommend!

The Luv Shack was the perfect place to spend with my partner. It allowed us to connect again, free of the distractions of everyday life. The place was lovely, and the setting was a tranquil haven. Four nights went by too quickly and we would happily return to experience this place again.

Gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary. Such a beautiful place to relax. The fruit was delicious and the accommodations were very comfortable. We loved our hike up Mt. Sorrow. We hope to stay here again!
