Our stay on Bulago island at Tom's house was just great. From the house, beautifully situated above the water on the far west tip of the island, you have an amazing view over the lake, which gets even better with every step you climb up behind the house up to the hill, which is the highest point of the island. The house is fully equipped with all you need and Tom is an awesome host! We'll soon be back.

Gorgeous house right on the beach. The house is spacious and has everything you need. The sound of the wave is always with you. The helpers and chef are very helpful and kind. Michelle is very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend.

Our stay at fig house was on all accounts flawless. The property sits on the edge of a very peaceful creek, with varying sea / creek views from its many vantage points. The house itself is wonderfully spacious with beautiful finishings and an enormous and aesthetic swimming pool. It was a joy to wake up and swim in the pool or the creek everyday, and then to enjoy meals prepared by the highly skilled staff (every meal was top quality). The local hangout spot less than a 10 minute walk from the house provides a uniquely jungly and relaxed atmosphere with a small shop fully stocked with anything you could feasibly need. There is also a coffee bar which serves very tasty local beers and smoothies, and a small restaurant / event space with delicious food. Freddy is a top host, very accommodating and responsive, and the house itself is certainly a stand out rental on the Kenyan coast, and sure to be a family for us moving forward. Thank you!

Paradise! The Shanti Beach House was an exceptional place to spend our last week in Kenya. The staff was excellent and answered any questions that we had about the island, traveling to Shela/Lamu or the food. We never did try any of the restaurants as Katana’s cooking was magnificent. Any little hint of what we might like to try for a meal and he made it happen! The accommodations were exactly as described, but the outdoor shower was the best part! Leave your cares behind and unwind at this beautiful beach front property. I highly recommend!!

I had a great stay at Tiffany's place. The location is convenient and easy to find. I felt right at home the moment I got in and my stay was pleasant.

La villa está en plena renovación, un lavado de cara importante para una casa antigua, pero bien situada, protegida y acogedora. Por la noche podrás disfrutar de conversaciones mágicas alrededor del fuego y compartir momentos con los anfitriones. Ha sido estupendo! Wow! I have been to air bnbs all over the world from Californ-ee-ay to the Indian Ocean coast of Australia - and my reviews tell you there have been some stunning places but this takes the prize. The location overlooking the Nile and the beautiful peaceful gardens are what hit you first. We were passing through with limited time - but we packed in one highlight after another. Swimming in the inlet and swim- shooting a miniature rapid. Crossing the river on a motor canoe and a drink while we suss out the adrenalin activities. Chatting with the boat guy and the adrenalin man (Peter) If you love intelligent chat and banter - these are your guys. if you don't know Uganda, these are the friendliest most chilled people you will find anywhere. Children from muzungu-land would have the time of their lives. I am coming back d.v. with a gang. Klint, Vicky, daughter Olivia and manager Lisa are all lovely. This has been a peak experience and a wonderful introduction to Uganda.

We had a great time at the lodge. The team was very friendly and the location is amazing. We would definitely come back. There is also a very small shop in the village 5 minutes away by foot, where you can get some groceries, which was nice and run by very friendly people. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area, sitting on the terrace and the beautiful river nile.

Couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and cozy cabin retreat in Jinja. Comes with a well-equipped kitchen, beautifully maintained garden, camp fire site, and just a short walk to the Nile. Klint, his family, and the caretakers (including the wonderful dogs) were friendly and responsive hosts.
