Loved the privacy and beautiful surroundings. It was the perfect quiet getaway from the city life. So relaxing and we truly wish we could gave stayed longer. The Orange Cat Cafe in Franklin was awesome and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This place is beautiful highly recommend I went away from my 26th birthday and I’m so glad that I picked this place such a calming getaway from 40+ hour work weeks the cabin is immaculate in the woods and extremely beautiful and relaxing. Ksenia is also really nice and super responsive and helpful. we honestly didn’t have to reach out much because she already thought of it all!

The cabin was so lovely - even prettier than the pictures. The view from the back deck was beautiful! Beds were comfortable and cabin felt spacious. Rocky was so kind and responsive throughout!

I loved Shelley's cabin. It was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed was comfortable (including the pillows!), though we didn't use it I was impressed with the firewood being on the front porch with the ability to send payment by phone to pay for it as that is something that can always be frustrating to go and get when traveling sometimes. The hot tub was hot and relaxing although it was missing all the headrests haha. We took a tour of Trans Alleghany Lunatic Asylum on this trip but would consider coming back just to stay at this cabin for a weekend getaway! Thanks so much for everything!

I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway weekend! The cabin itself is bright and beautiful and the host was incredibly responsive. Stargazing in the hot tub was absolutely the highlight!

We had an amazing girls trip at the cabin! We enjoyed the privacy and outdoor fire place. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for our trip!

Andi and Billy's Riverside Retreat was the perfect location for a peaceful weekend away! The cabin has thoughtful touches in decor throughout and is truly better than the pictures can depict. It is right on the river and is completely quiet and private. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the cabin was well laid out and spacious. It had everything we could want for cooking and lounging. It is a short drive to Elkins from the cabin. For nearby drinks, I recommend checking out The Crossing Coffee Bar, which is inside a very charming local shop and across the street from the Railroad history museum. I also recommend stopping by Big Timber Brewing Company, which has excellent beers. Amazing activities nearby included a trip to Brickle Knob, hiking up Seneca Rocks Trail, and checking out Blackwater Falls. I would absolutely stay at Andi and Billy's place again.

Perfect spot for a cozy trip in the mountains! We stayed dry and warm during an especially rainy/snowy weekend. The space was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. We were even surprised with a bouquet of roses for Valentine's Day and a collection of toys for our pup.

Located close enough to the river to hear it from the cabin. Good fishing within steps of the cabin. Had a relaxing time and it’s a great place to get away.

This cabin was perfect for weekend in the woods. My partner and I loved walking the trails to the. various spots around the property. We traveled to the Warm Springs for a soak while in the area!

A perfect getaway that provided peaceful views, nature, and bonus for being pet friendly. Kendra's husband was doing some work on the property, it was a pleasure running into him and talking. Entire property was well kept, very satisfied.

Absolutely beautiful place! Loved every second of it! Very peaceful! Perfect for getting away from the everyday hustle! It was exactly what we needed!

Despite renting this cabin in the dead of winter, leading to frozen pipes and being buried in snow, this stay was just what I needed to get away for a little while with my dog. Xavier notified me in advance of the pipes and there being no water, but made it work by providing ample drinking and flushing water. The mini split heater and an electric heater kept the cabin comfortable, but the wood stove cabin probably would have been more ideal in this weather. The family who lives near the property was extremely attentive to my needs and made me feel welcomed and safe. Bonus points for adorable goats, chickens, and cats on the property. I hope to come back in better weather to enjoy the trail and lake.

We had a wonderful stay at Deanie’s place. It was beautiful. It was comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds and linens were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool, the view and the people! Everyone was just wonderful. I highly recommend!!!!! Also, don’t forget to get on the list for breakfast. We were only there two mornings, but the food was very good and my family is still talking about it. I hope to return there again in the near future.

Dana's cabin was wonderful. It was clean and fully stocked. The location is so relaxing and quiet that it is somewhat unbelievable. There are several beautiful hikes in close proximity including Chimney Rock and Seneca Rocks. The views are amazing. Please do not hesitate to stay at this cabin. Just sit on the front porch and lose yourself.

They give very clear instructions on how to get here, because it is a bit complicated, but with their help we had no problem. The area is very pretty and the cabin has everything you could want. The only difficulty we had was were no able to make phone calls, we were able to get enough of a connection at snowshoe, but be aware you will be cutoff from almost all internet uses. Outside of that we loved using the fire pit and grill every night, and we look towards our next visit!

We loved our time at Merry Jo and Aaron’s cabin! The location was peaceful and secluded with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and charming attention to detail inside. All of the amenities and pristine cleanliness had us feeling at home right away. Merry Jo proactively reached out to ensure we had clear directions to the location, easy access to the property, and that we had everything we needed once there. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to relax with friends and/or family - hot tub was a hit, but they also had a lovely fire pit and cornhole that we would have used had the weather been a bit more cooperative. We hope to go back - an easy 5 stars!

This cozy cabin was perfect for my family of 5 kids! We came to go skiing for the first time at snowshoe and the cabin was a perfect private retreat for family time, games, and a hot tub for aches and pains from skiing! Super clean, cozy and we had everything needed including laundry detergent we forgot! Filtered cold water tower was extra nice for all our yeti refills! We were party of 7 but 10 can sleep comfortably, plus two full baths! Crockpot, two types of coffee makers, toaster, all cooking utensils needed for big breakfasts and convenient supper! Beautiful rustic cabin along the river! Peaceful surroundings, a bit hard to find off the road (which is a good thing) and nice amenities like hot tub and grill. Our family had a great time enjoying Elkins and the Forest Festival hanging out with close relatives and friends! thanks Tiffany!

This cabin is one of the coolest cabins we've ever stayed in! Honestly, the pictures don't quite do it justice. So much character and charm...and the kitchen had brand new, retro-looking appliances that had just been installed and just added to the whole experience! My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for the weekend so we could celebrate her birthday and they loved it, too. We've been to Lexington a lot over the years and always enjoy walking around downtown, going to Virginia Safari Park and going to to the drive in movie theater. We're planning on going back when the weather is warmer and we can get out on the river. Betsy is a wonderful host and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. If you're looking for a cozy, cool cabin that gives you some privacy, but is still close to Lexington, this cabin needs to be on your list! Betsy, thanks for everything!
