Overall we were happy with the stay. The house was in a quiet wooded area where we were able to watch deer while sitting in the hot tub on the deck. Host was very responsive- we had trouble with the heat and he helped us within minutes. The couple issues were 1) House was old. while it was clean there were older kitchen, flooring, bathrooms. 2) Description said by a Lake. Summersville Lake is close but it gets drained in the winter (found out after). We were hoping to fish during our spring break trip but couldn't. 3) a few things were broken around the house (screen door, window). So overall good stay with those few noticable things that may or may not affect your stay depending on preference.

Absolutely beautiful place! Very clean and everything you need for a “home away from home” experience/trip! Definitely recommend and would love to return one day!

This space was the perfect landing and such an easy walk into town. The French Goat is a block away and has such a great menu and atmosphere! The Wild Bean for breakfast and local coffee was great! There is also a Keurig at the apartment with organic k cups! The mattresses are comfortable and there is so many thoughtful details throughout. It’s a warm vibe and the hosts take cleanliness serious. The place was spotless. I loved having the laundry and being able to wash some clothes was very convenient. I’d highly recommend this space and look forward to my next trip here soon! Thanks so much!

This is a cozy cabin on beautiful property with hiking trails right out the door, a small stocked pond, and great sledding hills. The road to the cabin was rougher than expected but we also arrived after lots of rain. I would not advise arriving after dark. The main floor is spacious with lots of seating and a large smart TV. The woodstove is awesome and puts out an incredible amount of heat. The mattresses are all medium-firm. No plush pillowtops here. But we knew this ahead of time and brought mattress toppers for those who needed them. Lots of warm blankets and comforters. We loved that the house uses solar and hydroelectric. This did mean monitoring the house’s power and several power outages, but it was always easy to get back online. And the house has a generator if needed. As a host, John‘s service and welcoming feel are unparalleled, and it felt like we were staying at the house of friends while they were out of town. He truly wants his guests to have a great experience.

Chris was a great host. I loved how the Airbnb was only 25 minutes from the River Gorge national park and how spacious the backyard was for my furry friend. A added perk to the area was the vast amount of farm animals you passed in the neighborhood.

It is a beautiful place located at the very top of the mountain. Gorgeous inside and out; I would definitely stay again. When I say beautiful, I mean a BEAUTIFUL place. Simple suggestions: I highly suggest you check in during daylight. Being from Ohio, getting up the hill after dark can be challenging, as there are no lights on the way up. Also, the road is incredibly narrow. Once you go up the hill during the daylight, you’ll have no problem navigating. The Internet is pretty good, although I had to study for an exam I didn’t plan on. It was a bit challenging, but I got through it (Internet, slightly slow). Bath robes in the master bathroom, I tend to bring my own with me and I’m glad I did because the bathrooms had some hair from another person so I do suggest for your own. Whirlpool tub in the lower level. although it was clean, I have learned previously to fill the tub and run the jets to make sure it’s completely clean and unfortunately, there were black sediments.

We had a great stay. The place easily held our 3 adults and 3 kids, and the kids loved the hot tub and fire pit. Easy to get to the hikes we wanted with the Gorge, and a grocery store. We mainly cooked in, so can not comments on the restaurants.

We had a beautiful stay at the keeper’s quarters during a visit to the New River Gorge National Park. It was a very peaceful cabin with beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommend staying here!!

We absolutely loved Lindie and Tom’s cabin!! It was the perfect place to get away for the weekend and relax. Surrounded by nature and perfectly private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to unplug. If you’re looking for a secluded oasis, this cabin is it. The hot tub and porch swing are so relaxing and the inside of the cabin and gas fireplace was just wonderful and cozy. We didn’t want to leave! Lindie and Tom were wonderful hosts and made getting checked in and settled super easy. We felt right at home. We left feeling rested and rejuvenated. Such a wonderful place! Can’t recommend it enough and we will certainly be back!!

Quaint, peaceful, beautiful cabin for a get away! The cabin is homey with an incredibly comfortable bed, cozy fireplace, and private hot tub perfect for relaxing after a long day of skiing. The commute to Snowshoe was also incredibly doable- about 45-50min.

The house itself is great! Has everything you need and the hot tub is amazing! The hosts were very responsive and gave clear instructions, they also let us check out later. The Airbnb is a 45 min drive to Snowshoe so if you are planning to ski everyday makes it a hefty commute. There isn’t a town nightlife and only 1-2 restaurants. None of this is in the host’s control and what is in their control is fantastic!

Super friendly host in a cabin that’s perfectly private and easy to get to - very close to town. Loved the included pizza and breakfast. Even helped me retrieve a piece of jewelry that fell down the sink drain immediately and with no complaints. Thank you!

The cabin is very cozy and clean! Our pup loved the backyard!

It really was a beautiful cabin! Tim was great about letting us add days, as well as staying in contact. Most definitely recommend and will be back, ourselves.
