We really enjoyed staying in this studio in the woods. It fit our family of four and our dog perfectly. We loved all the little details that came with the studio, including the helpful local hints, the well stocked kitchen and the labels everywhere that helped navigate the space. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and really appreciated the extra amenities of the waffle maker and mix. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Yosemite and want to check out Mariposa and the surrounding area.

My wife and I had to evacuate the Eaton Fire in Altadena and we’d been on the road for two months. We needed a quiet, restful place to stay and this was perfect. Very comfortable house on a huge fenced lot. Our dog Molly loved it. And I loved the fire pit area. I had four nights of great fire pit enjoyment. Could not have been better. We also enjoyed the experience of having to keep the log fire stove going. Gave us great warmth and was great to look at. (There was also a regular heater, too. But we didn’t use it.) I took Molly for walks down near Yosemite High School where she chased geese and a big white stork. Also, took her on fun walks at Bass Lake, which was very close. Ate dinner at the Oakhurst Grill twice. The best Cioppino I’d ever had. And the French Dip sandwich was really good, too. Chase and Stacy were very good hosts. Always responded quickly. Chase even got me four bundles of firewood. We recommend their house very highly. It’s a special place.

Tchukon and Carolyn were incredibly kind, and the house was stunning. The design was exactly my style, and our room was extremely comfortable. The jacuzzi maintained the perfect temperature at all times, making it an ideal place to relax. It’s the perfect getaway for a trip with friends, you don’t even need to leave the house! From a pool table for entertainment to a fire pit with plenty of wood, it truly has everything. I would return without a doubt. Thank you, guys!

The Bear House provided a wonderful home base for a winter trip to Yosemite with our 6 adult friends. We especially loved the view of the surrounding mountains from the backyard (and hot tub!), the furnace in the living room, and the game room! The kitchen had all we needed to make breakfast and dinner and we were pleased that there was ample firewood provided to keep the fire going all weekend long. After a long day hiking in the Yosemite Valley, the Bear House was a little over an hour away-- a reasonable distance that was much more affordable than staying in the valley. Rachel was an incredible host. She was super friendly, communicative, and really made us feel at ease prior to our arrival. She even went above and beyond to work with us when we had to cancel our trip and reschedule for a month later. Even though we were beyond the cancellation window, she fully refunded us for our prior stay once new visitors booked during our initial reservation. Thank you so much, Rachel!

I had an amazing time at this house. The house was beautiful, it was the perfect nature vibe, it was easy to walk back and forth from the house to the dock. There were waterfalls all around the lake and fun trails to explore. I would absolutely go back.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely home. The entire home was spotless, the running water was warm, and the property was peaceful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away.

Leslie’s place was really great and in close enough proximity to Yosemite, especially if you want to get to Mariposa Grove. It has the capacity to host a lot of people, and it’s great for a family gatherings. The property was clean and inviting and served as a wonderful home base for our short getaway from Los Angeles. Highly recommend.

Second time here, and honestly, it was even better than the first. This place is great for a getaway. You don’t have to go anywhere else, this place has it all. Views, hot tub, pool, tv, fire pit, it’s great.

It was nice and comfy and cozy. Smelt clean in the place when we got there. They think of everything. Tons of stuff offered in Air bnb. It was warm inside and cold outside was a plus. The windows offered excellent views of watching and enjoying the snow come down in morning. Very nice bear, cabin aesthetic going on. Will definitely stay here again if I find my self with a trip in the area.

One of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed in. B'ful place and so thoughtfully done. Every corner thought in great detail and attention. The gesture by the host to get us fresh cookies on arrival won our hearts. I wish we could stay longer. The airbnb itself is worth a 2-3 day stay over.

We had the most amazing time and the resort in general is absolutely beautiful. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and our dogs had a great time too. We can't wait to visit again soon.

Our family with small children and 2 dogs felt right at home. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials for cooking so you dont have to buy every ingredient(spices, seasonings, oil etc). The yard and pool is fenced so no worries about dogs or kids jumping in the pool without your knowledge. Our favorite part was the spacious warm living space and the jacuzzi right outside the back door. Our toddler enjoyed “swimming” multiple times a day, thank you so much for sharing this home. We would love to come back again for sure!

Great Tri-level home. Enough space for us to relax, play and watch TV. Little cumbersome with 1-2 year old with the stairs, but that’s to be expected when renting a place with stairs. Beds were comfortable and every room has access to the outdoor patio. Kitchen had sufficient items to cook a meal. Parking was easy and the area was quiet.

Our stay was wonderful! The place was very clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable and relaxing experience. The location is great, just a short distance from Yosemite National Park, which made exploring the area very convenient. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay and Nick was a responsive and kind host. Was a short trip but we felt very cozy. The home is beautiful and you are close to lots of amazing outdoor experiences. Has all the appliances and tools you might need to make dinner! And extremely reasonable and understandable check out instructions.

My family and I wanted a peaceful Christmas in a quiet and beautiful setting and this hit the mark completely. We saw very few people and had a spectacular time cooking, relaxing, and marveling at nature. We all slept incredibly well as the mattresses were just right for us. We all commented how comfortable the beds were. Very enjoyable stay.

Great place and host would love to come here again if I am ever in the area.

We had the perfect stay for a weekend getaway here. The place was spotless, the views were incredible, and it was a super short drive to town. I will definitely keep this place in mind for the future and highly recommend staying here!

This cabin was the perfect get away for myself, my husband and our dog! Noella was always very responsive to any questions that I had and made us feel very welcome. The cabin was the perfect size and came stocked with nearly everything you could need or want. I loved having the Keurig with stocked coffee, sugar and creamer; and there was tea available also. We had some questions about some nearby hikes, and Noella was quick to answer and very helpful with finding places for us to go. The bathroom was also stocked with fresh, clean towels along with bug spray, a few band-aids, shampoo, conditioner and soap. There were games available also in the cabin for us to play and a very cute, comfortable hammock outside. All in all we would love to go back and we had a ln amazing stay!

Our family of four had a great two days at the cabin. The cabin was very tastefully furnished and felt like home. It was cozy and all the amenities one could expect including a family room with games and books. The house was squeaky clean and the fireplace was a great touch. The surroundings were quiet and very private. We skied at Dodge Ridge which was 20 min away. Overall a memorable weekend for our family and we plan to visit again this summer.

One of the best Airbnb’s for the price and proximity to the Bay Area for a large group. Host was super responsive and accommodating. House is in a private complex and is large, is perched on a small incline, has sleeping rooms slightly elevated or below the living-dining-kitchen area giving privacy and quiet while kids run around. Overall, layout is good for large groups. Has a pool table and a ping pong table which was a plus.
