Who needs a museum pass when staying at this home, it had everything the best museums had plus some. The house was perfect for bringing in the new year, close to the city, a vibrant neighborhood, and an exceptionally peaceful place to take it easy. Bernice provided a wide array of information to help us make the most of our trip and her communication was impeccable. One of our best stays!

Très belle expérience ! La demeure est située près d’une rue extrêmement commerçante, aucun soucis pour faire les courses, boire un verre ou dîner au restaurant. L’accès à Haarlem peut se faire également à pied, c’est pratique. La plage est à 15 minutes en voiture. La maison est spacieuse, pleine de charme et très bien équipée. Facile d’accès, elle permet d’accéder aux principales routes permettant de visiter le pays facilement ! L’hôte est amical et très réactif ce qui rend le séjour sécurisant ! Je recommande !!

Arthur welcomed us to his home in person so everything was easily explained. He kept in touch to make sure all was well. House is in a great location - close to Haarlem & Amsterdam via public transport. Also very close to supermarket, bakery etc

Paul, the host, was very responsive. We enjoyed the stay. There are steep steps up to third floor, which he warned us about ahead of time, but it wasn’t an issue for our 3 and 5 year old or my 65 year old mom. We had a vehicle and would drive in closer before hoping on a train into Amsterdam. So can’t speak to the closeness of public transportation. But would recommend staying here!

Contact with Merel was easy and open. During our stay responsive when needed but not intrusive. Easy going. Flexible in terms of check in and out. Did her best to let us feel at home. The garden and the seating area is a big plus in this house. Next to the location - near a park (great for the dog) and walking / bike distance of Haarlem centrum. A house with a nice atmosphere!

Die Unterkunft war einfach grandios! Das Haus ist wirklich liebevoll eingerichtet. Annemiek ist super nett. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Wir haben uns direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist super schön, es ist sehr sauber, das Haus ist super ausgestattet und die Umgebung einfach wunderschön. Tolle Nachbarschaft, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig. Wir waren außerdem in Amsterdam, Zandvoort und Haarlem. Vielen Dank für alles!

The first thing I have to say is Sophie and Pieter are clearly lovely people. We were late because of traffic but Sophie waited for us and gave a warm and very helpful welcome. Secondly, the apartment is a real home from home. The kitchen has all the equipment you need if you want to dine at home. Throughout the apartment everything was clean and functional as well as being well designed and attractive. Thirdly, the location is excellent. The tram runs regularly on the Overtoom and gets you right into the centre in 20 easy minutes. On the other side is the Vondelpark, which is a slice of real Amsterdam that many people would miss, which is a shame as it’s fantastic. The bar run by the brewery was a real find for us. Around you are a number of excellent places to eat and drink on both sides of the park and into the centre. Finally I am going to return to Sophie and Pieter - honestly you could not get better hosts. Thank you very much - we intend to return.

Magnifique logement très lumineux idéalement placé entre le quartier des musées et l’hypercentre. La vue sur les caneaux est imprenable. Très propre avec tout le Confort à disposition. Hôte réactif et arrangeant. Stan m’a troué une solution pour garder mes valises le dernier jour. Si vous êtes sensible au bruit, pensez à prendre les boules antibruit car l’insonorisation des bruits de la rue est très faible. Le lit de la chambre est très confortable ce qui n’est pas du tout le cas le canapé lit du salon. Je relogerai cependant avec grand plaisir dans ce magnifique appartement.

Alexander was very responsive before and throughout our stay in the studio apartment. Great location. He was very accommodating with his check-in and check-out. He and his wife gave a special little gift of cookies for my daughter who was celebrating a birthday trip. I highly recommend this place and Alexander as a host.

Nous avons passez un weekend très sympathique, le logement est très beau et très propre. Les instructions étaient claires et précises. Merci 😁

Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Great for 2 people, but for 4 it was a bit tight. Not any big issue as bit was only for one night. For longer would have been a bit tight. Comunication was very quick. We booked pretty late in the evening for the same night and there was no issues.

Anna and John , out hosts were wonderful. Place was so well designed and so beautiful. I could tell a lot of thought was put into the design. I think the place would be even better with a notebook with instructions about house, tv, appliances , and check out procedure . On the other hand, Anna and John were so responsive. Anna and John met us at the apartment , plane was delayed so arrived late around 9:30. Anna and John were flexible and gave us a warm welcome with tour of house. However in the morning, I discovered scaffolding with green mesh across windows. I paid top dollar for a canal house with view of canal. This was a disappointment and was not told about this. I would never have rented if I knew there was barely a view through the windows with scaffolding and mesh . Everything else was wonderful! Future renters should ask about the obstructed view.

Ein tolles Haus und tolle Gastgeber für unseren Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und lässt nichts vermissen. Die Lage lässt einen sowohl Strand als andere Ausflugsziele bequem und recht kurzfristig erreichen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und lassen keine Frage lange unbeantwortet. Ruben was very responsive and friendly. Showed me how to use certain things and left a basket of local treats and familiar snacks my boys enjoyed. It was a lovely home. There’s a lot of steps, which was no a problem for my family, but something to be mindful of if have younger kids or older family members! My boys loved the trampoline in the yard and our family enjoyed having peaceful meals over looking the garden. The outdoor space was lovely for afternoons and morning cups of coffee!

Wir hatten 7 wundervolle Tage bei Reinout und Mary. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder, das Haus war noch viel schöner als es auf den Fotos aussah. Man hat totale Privatsphäre und kann seinen Urlaub sehr genießen. Dank der Fahrräder haben wir auch die Umgebung erkunden können. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Lage ist toll, wir waren in Zandfoort wie in Amsterdam. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden. Das Highlight war definitiv der Pool. Dank des Fußballplatzes und des Trampolins waren die Kinder gut beschäftigt. Die Gastgeber waren super und auch immer erreichbar. Die Kinder haben gesagt das war der beste Urlaub ever. Vielen Dank, dass wir eure Gäste sein durften, wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Es war traumhaft.

We loved staying in Bart’s house. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and pretty and the transport links are excellent. We easily took trains to Amsterdam, Haarlem and The Hague. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The children loved all the playgrounds nearby too. Thank you for having us!

We hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad in het huis van Floor. Ze is heel vriendelijk, reageert meteen en geeft goeie tips voor de omgeving. Het huis is precies zoals op de foto's, keurig netjes en opgeruimd. Ook de omgeving is erg rustig en op 15min wandelen naar het centrum van Haarlem. Kortom, een echte aanrader!

Het huis was helemaal geweldig! We voelden ons direct thuis en wilden eigenlijk niet meer weg! Het huis is heel charmant en de ligging is super. Je loopt de deur uit en met een paar passen sta je in de winkelstraat. Ook ben je heel dichtbij Haarlem en bij de duinen en het strand. Het huis was heel schoon, netjes, rook heel lekker en voelde echt als thuis. Het contact met Bas was heel goed, hij reageerde altijd direct. Ook konden wij zijn fiets lenen, wat ontzettend fijn was. De bedden sliepen ook heerlijk! Ik kan wel door blijven gaan, maar dan wordt deze recensie wel erg lang :) Kortom, wij hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad en dit huis heeft bijgedragen aan de ontzettend fijne tijd die wij gehad hebben in Nederland.

We absolutely loved this place. Two of our teenagers slept in the basement and one slept in the attic, and my husband and I used the master suite. Everything was beautiful. The firepit and piano were a fabulous bonus. Definitely recommend renting bikes and riding to the sea!

The villa was amazing, the views on the lake were perfect for a small getaway. Pien was also very responsive and helpful we loved our stay at the villa. Definitely coming back again when the weather is warmer
