Great location and much better than staying in a hotel. Also cheaper than getting two hotel rooms. There is a bakery/coffee house/breakfast restaurant within a 3 minute walk and lots of stuff within a 5-10 minute walk which saves money on the $10 city parking . The hot tub felt amazing and the setting is very secluded with a great view of the forest overlooking the lights of the town. Wi-Fi was fast with no issues. We didn't have any problems at all. Everything worked great and allowed us to hang out with family. The cooking equipment was in very good condition which is surprising for a rental. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

This lake house was amazing! We had a blast. We were there for the softball little league World Series and it was close enough to everything, while still being far enough for some needed down time. The place was beautiful, cozy, and better stocked than anyplace I have ever stayed before! Kids loved all the board games and the easy access to the lake! If we come back we will definitely keep this place in mind.

Awesome location. The house is located perfectly between Highlands And Cashiers. Amazing restaurants nearby and the hot tub was relaxing for star gazing at night. Highly recommended.

This place was so comfortable and had all the amenities one could ever need/want plus a wonderful hot tub. The location was close enough to town but far enough away to get away from it all. Phyllis put thought into all that would matter to a great guest experience. We had the pleasure of seeing many deer especially in the mornings. The creek was so peaceful to look at while sitting on the porch drinking my morning coffee. The house was spotless. We will definitely be returning here.

We had such a relaxing experience at The Red Hideaway! The home was thoughtfully prepared with extras and amenities for me and my guests. My favorite extra was finding basic cooking ingredients left for us in the cupboards. We ate well, laughed heartily, and rested comfortably. Big thanks to our gracious hosts for letting us stay!

I can't say enough about our stay here. Everything we may have needed was available. The wildlife was amazing. We saw deer every day on our walks. The dock was perfect for our boat and swimming. it's where we spent most of our time. The jacuzzi was a treat. Beds were extremely comfortable. There are 3 kings. The pics show one room w/ 2 twins, but that is not the case. Thankfully my boys didn't have to share a room this time or that would have been an issue (insert mom eyeroll here). Short 30 minute drive to beautiful Helen. Grocery store and fast food is easy to get to. We had a wonderful week and did not want to leave. Thank you Karen for a beautiful home and a wonderful stay. We hope to be back next summer!

Our stay in the cottage was great! We were 10 total - 8 adults and 2 kids - and we wish we would’ve rented for another day. Spacious and comfy, the cottage provided both privacy and options to hang out together. The coffee bar and game room were a big hit! The hosts were extremely responsive.

Loved our NYE trip here! Very quiet and beautiful. The home is very nicely furnished and decorated with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The view is gorgeous and you’re close to several hiking trails and the Highlands. I’ve seen reviews complaining about the WiFi but it worked great for us. We streamed both tv and music!

We absolutely loved our 5 day stay at the Hobbit House! We spent most of our time at the cabin just enjoying the peaceful, cozy atmosphere. It is the perfect place to unwind. You can tell that Donna has put so much thought & care into her space. I also appreciated how communicative and friendly Donna was from booking til departure. Both home & host are gems—I completely recommend booking here for your next mountain trip!

The home was exactly as described and even better. Very clean and the location was great. Not right in Helen, so you get a quiet place to relax, but close enough to be in the heart of town within a few minutes. Chris and Nicole are the absolute best hosts. Very responsive, accommodating, and caring. We had no troubles, but if we did, I know they would have been right there to fix it. If you are hesitant at all about booking this place, don't be you won't regret it!

This place is an absolute gem!! We loved every second of being there! The hosts were amazing and extremely helpful with anything we needed or any questions we had. Our family fell in love with this place, it’s truly beautiful and a wonderful place to relax and take in all the beauty around you! The house itself is perfectly set up and makes you feel like you’re at home, it’s so cozy and beautifully put together!

Thank you for opening your beautiful mountain home for us to stay this Thanksgiving!! My mother in law in hard to please and yet I felt the super close proximity to downtown Highlands, the beautiful spacious living and dining areas, and having the puppies all there in toe, made this a very special Thanksgiving for all of us!! Thank you for your quick responses and help with the fireplace and stubborn bear proof trash can. Will cannot wait to see yall again when those gorgeous rhododendrons pop with colorful flowers soon!! ❤️❤️❤️

We had a lovely stay here, there are a lot of state parks close by and the town of Dahlonega is really nice. We really enjoyed Jethros coffee in the town. We ventured out to Apple orchards and other nearby towns such as Helen and Gainesville. We went to Dawsonville for a Christmas parade which our 3 year old loved. The home itself is very cozy and well kept. Sitting on the patio with a coffee is very relaxing. Only criticisms would be that the bed upstairs is really creaky and feels unsteady. There were neighborhood dogs barking and howling for long periods of time that does kind of disrupt the peace but that’s not the fault of the host at all. Overall 5 stars and would definitely recommend.

Our stay at The Cottages was just the restful excursion we needed and close proximity to nearby downtown Helen, where we spent most of our time, but if you want to venture further from the typical tourist destination, the drive is beautiful and far from inconvenient. The driveway leading up to the home is gravel and a little steep at times, but it's nothing even a compact car can't handle. The interior is beautiful and thoughtful with just the right touches to keep it from feeling overdone. The home was clean from top to bottom and well-equipped for the culinary curious. The bedroom offers an adequately large bed, and blackout curtains that bring a great sense of privacy and undisturbed restful sleep that make you lose the sense of time. The massive ceiling fan is sure to keep even the hottest of sleepers soothed. There's a peaceful stillness to the property that, though not far from a roadway, gives the feeling of being set in the woods in the middle of nowhere. Highly recommended!

Our stay was better than we could have imagined! So beautiful and peaceful! The cottage was perfect, the indoor and outdoor wood burning fireplaces…stunning! Shout out to the local coffee shop and bakery, Tallulah 1882. Coffee, pastries and sandwiches were incredible and just a few minute drive from the cottage. We can’t wait to return! Hiking at Panther Creek was great and the little town of Helen was worth the drive!

Adorable 3 C’s. Cozy… Comfy… Cottage. This was just an adorable place with amazing views. Close to Helen Ga which was an adorable town. The host was very accommodating and answered back right away. Will definitely come back again.

This was a charming retreat in a beautiful area with easy access to lots of outdoor adventure. The space is just as cozy and comfortable to spend a day inside by the fireplace🙂 Be sure to plan ahead for trips to black rock Mountain State Park Tallulah Gorge the city of Clayton and much more.

It is a Lakeside Gem indeed! Our family has stayed in this location numerous times and it never disappoints. The house is lovely and comfortable. Unfortunately the lake levels were already down this year, we are assuming due to the storm that had passed through, so swimming and boat rentals were not an option but the views and weather were still spectacular! We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can!

The duplex was well appointed and cozy for our quick weekend mother/daughter getaway. Very easy to walk to downtown Clarkesville and a short drive to Helen. Great stay!

Everything was great. It’s a very quiet place for the time of year that we went. Off season! Plenty of space in the house and porch areas. The yard is steep but to be expected with a lake house. Still dog friendly, which is our main concern. There are several steps to get in and out of the house from the parking area. Something to think about if you have a lot of things to take in and out if you’re gonna be there for a while. Would definitely stay at again great host and great house with a great view.

Really good place, we really enjoyed and my wife loved it. 100% recommended It has everything that you need and more
