An absolutely beautiful and peaceful oasis. The perfect getaway from the craziness of the city. Surrounded by the woods with no neighbors on site. Only a few deer, birds and wild turkeys come visit you. Vanessa’s home is a modern inspired gem. Quasi Frank Lloyd Wright design. She provides everything you can think of. I cannot think of one thing it was lacking during our 4 night stay. From the spacious kitchen living room area to the hot tub and comfy beds, this deserves a 6*.

Our family had an amazing time at the cottage. We enjoyed the lake for paddle-boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking and the views. The fire pit was a hit with privacy and quiet evenings. The cottage was spacious and the dining table had a lot of space for our family for all meals. The kids enjoyed their bunk beds and the ping pong table in rainy days. All of us had our own space/rooms and enjoyed that as well, as we had 3 families staying there. The kitchen had all of the necessary materials needed to make our stay feel like “home” away from home. Our only complaint was the stairs to the lake were steep and difficult for the older guests to climb up and down daily. We definitely got our steps in so the younger guests didn’t mind this. We had a great week stay and loved the cottage and lake activities!

This is a beautiful house, suitable for a group of 10. It is just what it is shown in the pictures. The location is amazing, quiet and peaceful, with a dock right to the lake. The lake is astonishing and super clear.

Really enjoyed our stay at this very clean, nicely furnished, well equipped and nicely located cottage. Loved reading and having a morning coffee on the dock. Nice quiet lake. Not too long a drive.

We and our dogs had a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving weekend! The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. We loved using the wood burning sauna and the fire pit and appreciated that the firewood was provided. Rebecca responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cottage.

We loved this cottage and this is our second visit this time of the year. There is beautiful large table to serve meals, spacious kitchen with plenty of storage place and 2 fridges. Cozy atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace and an additional playroom/ family room. There is plenty of outdoor activities including walking, skiing (Sir Sam’s is nearby), cross country skiing or skating. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Place was very equipped with everything you need to a perfect getaway from the city. Extra blankets and sheets. Host was quick and very friendly with her responses. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying to just kick back and relax

I had a wonderful stay at John’s property in Minden! The space was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful natural setting made it the perfect escape from the city. John was an excellent host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful throughout my stay. I truly appreciated the little touches that made the experience feel extra special. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Minden. There aren’t words to describe how incredible our stay at your family cottage in Dorset was. This is our 17th year doing family cottage getaways and I can honestly say that this was by far the best. Nobody wanted the trip to end…From the gorgeous and blissful lake to the new dock filled with Muskoka chairs and enough kayaks that we went on our first ever family kayak expedition, to the neat little fire pit, to the indoor pool and the multitude of games and even a karaoke machine which was great for evenings and rainy days. The cottage was prepared with everything and anything we could have needed including the much appreciated extras like duck food for the kids to feed the duck family that frequented the dock. The cottage was spacious with enough room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably, and beautifully decorated and we truly felt that it was a home away from home. The Gerbers are hosts extraordinaire and we hope that we can return again for another wonderful family vacation!

An amazing property with the most hospitable of hosts. The Cooperage House sits on a picture perfect lake surrounded by romantic ruins . It has all the amenities that you could ever want. Theater room, hottub, suana, firepit, firewood, tent outside, multiple grills, fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated. Kitchen is luxurious. Large deck for entertaining. Large property for keeping children busy. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly loved by its owners. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect touches for relaxation, and everything was in excellent working order. Any questions we had were answered immediately, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. It’s clear that a lot of thought and attention to detail went into creating such a welcoming space. We can’t recommend this place enough and would love to return. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Once again we had a great stay! This was our second year staying at Kunals' place and it was just as we expected. Kunal went above and beyond to accomodate us. Unfortunately a wk. before, due to a bad storm, the liner of the pool was damaged so the pool was inoperable. This is one of the main highlights of Kunals' place for us so it was a little disheartening because we were there for 8 days...HOWEVER, once again Kunal came through!! He purchased an 18ft back up pool and had it assembled and ready to go for our arrival so that we could still enjoy a pool!! My sister and I had a great time, enjoyed the peace and quiet and would stay at Kunals place over an all inclusive Carribbean trip anyday! House was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed. Kunal gave us late checkout which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be doing an extended stay next summer and are so looking forward to it! Thanks Kunal, you are a great host and we thank you for being so accomodating!!

We decided to get out of town for a long weekend winter retreat and couldn’t have been happier with Lisa’s Redstone River Retreat. It was peaceful, quiet and the hot tub was perfect for cold winter nights. Inside was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. Clean kitchen, clean bathroom and overall just a great experience. When we arrived, the driveway was completely plowed from a previous snow storm and a path plowed all the way down to the river. Lisa’s husband also came mid-stay to plow the full driveway after another huge winter storm. They were very kind and generous and we look forward to staying here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cabin, it looks exactly like the pictures! My favorite time was relaxing on the couch in front of the fascinating view! We’re already planning to come back in summer or autumn for a longer stay, as I’m sure the view would be extremely beautiful, and we’d have time for activities. Also, Mackenzie is so kind and responsive. Definitely recommend 😊

My husband Jon and I loved our stay at Ken's cabin. It was a great place to use as a base to explore Algonquin and provided a cozy home in the evenings where we could play video games, watch old films, and just chill out. Bongo's tavern on Tuesday night was excellent, with great food, drinks, and vibes. Bongo & Andrea (and the rest of the gang at Bongo's) are so much fun and they made us feel extra welcome. Thank you for an amazing stay. We are already looking forward to staying here again on our next visit to Algonquin Park.

We spent 4 nights at Jackie’s place. The cottage is lovely - clean & charming, with a kitchen that is well stocked with everything you’d need. Lots of board games available for use too. Jackie has lots of water toys available to use & the back yard is perfect - very private & fenced in. Water access is great - gradually or just jump in right off the dock. The cottage is within walking distance of the General Store (maybe a minute to walk it) and about a 5 minute walk from the grocery store & LCBO. Jackie was very responsive & reached out a couple of times to see if anything was needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & can’t wait to return next summer!

This cottage is an absolute gem. We had the best time, as did our golden retriever, by far one of his funnest weekends ever!!! The sandy beach was perfect for him. We loved the docks, kayaks, row boat, paddle board, all so fun and peaceful on the calm lake. The cottage was in a great location, easy to find. The inside of the cottage was so cozy. Minden is so close and such a cute town. Thank you!!!

Best cabin-in-the-woods weekend ever! Perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, movie watching, and board games. Bill went above and beyond to make the trip go smoothly.

Mark and Chris's place was amazing and even better in person. They were very responsive with any questions and took the time ahead of our check-in to ensure a smooth check in. The location of the cottage is very private and the cottage itself is very beautifully done. We all enjoyed the hottub in the cold weather. Thanks for sharing your cottage Mark and Chris.

Alan & Rosalie’s cottage was everything we could have asked for and more ! It was a perfect place to just relax and recharge after a busy fall and Christmas season. We wanted for nothing, it had everything we needed. Alan met us when we arrived and explained where everything was and how it all worked. My wife and I and our two dogs had a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be doing a return visit. If you are looking for a place to getaway and relax this is the place, highly recommend it ! Thank you Alan & Rosalie !
