We had the most wonderful stay at the crab shack! As a family of seven, it can sometimes be tricky to find a place that ticks all the boxes, but this home exceeded our expectations in every way. The house itself is spacious, beautifully kept, and thoughtfully designed to offer both comfort and style — there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. What truly made the stay special was the peaceful setting. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having the beach just steps away felt like a dream. It was the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy some quality time together without any distractions. The views were breathtaking, and the fresh sea air was a treat. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already planning our return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene escape by the sea :-)

Great place to stay. Perfect location with walking trails, a beautiful beach, and a great little restaurant all minutes walk from your front door. Our host was wonderful and extremely helpful during our stay. 100% reccomend staying here.

Great location, good restaurants near by and a few bars were open even on a Monday night. I will use again.

This place was perfect. The views over the loch were incredible and the area was so peaceful and quiet. We had everything we needed at the house - and all the extra items left as welcome treats were a lovely surprise. Being able to make a cup of tea straight away after a long journey is an underrated bonus! The kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher and detergent for the washing machine. There was no shortage of things to keep us entertained in the living room and we were positioned pretty much perfectly for all the day trips we wanted to do. So, in summary, a perfect trip in a perfect location. And the hosts were so responsive with all their messages and very helpful with additional information to make our trip the best it could be.

What a spectacular home, overlooking the sea. Huge airy rooms, home was spotless and welcome basket very welcome!! The cottage is walking distance to a sandy beach just over the dunes which our dog absolutely loved. Great little coffee cabin within walking distance too.

One of the most stunning places I’ve ever stayed at. Hard to describe the feeling of space and the expansiveness of the views. It’s jaw dropping Some salt in the cupboard and a dish cloth would have been useful but the view is what makes this place special, whether from inside or the hot tub And the animals - saw loads of grouse, pheasants, rabbits, horses, sheep. And a deer! All on the drive to/from the house

Booked for an off-grid stay. The cabin completely exceeded expectations - we had everything we needed including cooking utensils, fire starters, and indoor & outdoor fire and linen. Functional outhouse toilet and shower. Thanks so much for having us!

The cottage was perfect for us It was private and extremely comfortable. The views of the sunsets and sunrises were awesome

A lovely stay (2nd time) and everything we needed for a restful break. The accommodation is top class and the view is unbeatable. Linda was also really helpful when I had a query. I can’t recommend enough if you want a relaxing stay in quiet, gorgeous surroundings.
