We stayed here between Christmas & New Year 2024. It was like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas Movie. We pulled up and the house was lit with beautiful white lights and a Christmas tree on the porch. The inside was decorated with another tree and pretty pink and silver Christmas decor. The house was clean and just as pictured. It was a beautiful old home filled with 100 year old character but renovated with modern conveniences. It had all needed amenities, and a big driveway for parking. It was so nice that dogs were welcome. The town is a quaint Adirondack town complete with a 5 & Dime store, eateries, cute gift shops, farm store, and of course Stewart's for ice cream & gas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended this home for a great getaway in the Adirondacks.

We had a lovely stay at Gerry and Susan’s! The cabin is adorable and decorated perfectly. We were cozy and comfortable for our weekend there. The firepit was perfect for our winter bonfire tradition. We would definitely return for another visit to experience the summertime there.

This house was absolute bliss! We had a lovely romantic long weekend here. Between the amenities and the quality of the house itself it was genuinely hard to leave. We are actively planning to come again to see this house and the area in different seasons. This place is a must for anyone who wants to get away and feel cozy in the mountains. (Also the robes were INCREDIBLE)

The was as pictured, perfect spot for accessing all old forge has to offer and right down the street from big moose and a couple blocks off 4th lake.. great host/great house..

Great house in great location! Much larger than the pictures lead you to believe and the beds are super comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen with laundry, grill, outdoor seating and private water access with fire pit.

Mary's home was a wonderful place for families. We attended my niece's wedding at Oak Mountain, and Mary's home was able to accommodate multiple extended family members. Everyone had their own bedroom and the open-concept kitchen/living room was the perfect gathering space. The kitchen was nicely appointed, and the kids had a ball playing in the finished basement which was equipped with a foosball table and board games. The location was peaceful and quiet yet only a 7 minute drive to the village of Speculator and Oak Mountain. We wish we had more time to explore the local hiking trails and Lake Pleasant. We highly recommend Mary's home as a great value for large families or family reunions.

Great place to stay in the Southern Adirondacks, close to lots of great hiking, swimming/fishing, and other ADK adventures. House was very nice and spacious. Kitchen was particularly impressive. Property is large and it felt like we were away from it all, exactly what we were after. Would stay here again.
