This is a great place to stay, even better than it appears in the photos. It was not just clean, it was immaculate - and for an extremely observant nurse - that was awesome. The unit had easy access with a slight gradient path and only two steps - which was very helpful for us as seniors. The firm bed was very comfortable. Barbara was responsive and thought of everything, including having delicious specialty coffee for us - Thanks. She even had a cooler in the closet for us to use when we went to Acadia National Park. Like I said, she truly thought of everything. If we return to this area of Maine, we would love to stay again. We enjoyed our stay.

If you are looking for a vacation that is quiet, relaxing and with stunning views then this is the place! Only 10 minutes from downtown bar harbor and quick easy access to Acadia. Honestly, my wife and I made less trips to Acadia because the views from the property were better! The hosts are fantastic and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Alan is very welcoming and helpful. The lights and electronics are all very efficient and eco-friendly. And what an amazing bonus, to have top-class music fifty steps from our door! Gorgeous views of Cadillac Mountain, all lovely. Acadia is an hour away, Blue Hill Peninsula has lots going on, and Bucksport and Deer Isle are a short drive away. We will visit again. A great spot close to Acadia and Bar Harbor without being in the middle of everything. Super easy communication and check in and this spot has just about everything you need including full sizes of toiletries and all the pots, pans, and kitchen accessories you need. Really great spot to stay with family!

Cozy cottage, conveniently located, "very Mainish" from the decor to the build. My Grankids especially enjoyed meeting the chickens and walking the property as well as playing in the snow! We will definitely return!

summer in Maine is now really expensive and as I started looking late, I was delighted to find Regina's place available. It was cozy and comfortable just for me and it felt quiet and safe. I could easily walk to the water's edge just down the hill and the location was only a mile from my sister's house which is primarily why I rented it. There are no exceptional views but if you plan to get out a lot and explore, it's a great option and probably a lot less than air bob's with water views. Everything worked in the house and Gina was always a text message away which was great.

Kay and Ricks place was absolutely dreamy! The house was gorgeous and had impeccable views. Watching the sunrise every morning from both balconies and the fire pit below by the water was truly breathtaking. The kitchen was absolutely stunning with a huge island to host all your guests and put out great family meals. We booked Kay and Ricks place due to the location of Acadia National Park and because of the Mount Desert Island race weekend (marathon, half, relay). We had a family pasta dinner rally in the kitchen and comfortably fit everyone! It was 20 minutes outside of Bar Harbor which was a perfect drive since you got to see and enjoy other aspects of Trenton, Maine. The house was peaceful and quiet. It was very enjoyable to relax at the house without hearing the buzz from downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. The house had everything you needed and all the amenities included matched the description. We all felt right at home! We can’t thank the Host enough for this amazing weekend!

Wow! Our family had an amazing vacation staying at Brooklin House. The house and grounds are so beautiful and relaxing, and we had such a nice time on the days that we decided to stay close to home. The house itself is great and luxurious, and it had everything that we could have needed in a vacation home. We loved cooking dinner outside on the grill, using the fire pit, and watching movies downstairs at night in the comfy media room! And as for outdoors, the point that the house is on is so beautiful and private; it gave us a great vantage point to check out the wildlife and nature during the day (bald eagles!), go for a swim when the tide was in, and watch the stars at night. The location can't be beat, either; Blue Hill gave us a great home base for day trips all over the area, from Camden/Rockland up to Ellsworth and MDI/Acadia, not to mention exploring the Blue Hill peninsula. We hope to be back!
