Amazing space, plenty of room to spread out.. It was rainy and cold all weekend so we didn’t make it down to the dock. Used the hot tub once as again it was cold and rainy outside but views of the lake were great from anywhere in the house and loved the LARGE shower!! Plenty of parking (we only had the one car) and lots bedrooms to choose from but the kids wanted to sleep on the couches 🤣🤣. Made check out cleaning much quicker! The main thermostat went out the last night we were there and it was late (close to midnight) so I didn’t inform them until the next morning.. We all cuddled up and they were VERY attentive as soon as they knew about it. Called me right away and had someone out within the hour to get it looked at.

Tom was amazing to work with! The house was perfect and having the kayaks and fire pit really made our trip that much better!

Beautiful home, pictures do not do it justice. So peaceful and relaxing. Really enjoyed the hot tub and fire place. Communication was great and kepted in contact the whole visit. My family will definitely stay here again if we are in this location. Thank you to the homeowners for sharing their beautiful home!

If your like me and you go to historic homes on tour and you have a secret desire to live there, than this home is for you. To have the opportunity to actually sleep in a 1700s home complete with antique furnishings was such a wonderful opportunity. Definitely recommend reading through the history of the house and taking time to peruse the many interesting things in the home. I’m sure there are more comfortable/luxurious places to stay but as an experience and a stay all rolled into one this was a great one.

Absolutely beautiful with the creek in the front. Minimal traffic and private. Perfect for my quarterly trip down there to pay respect to my daddy’s resting place in Pinelawn and to visit my families hometown.

My stay was short but Ramona and Co. did great work ensuring it was beautiful stay. 10/10, will return again.

I loved this little cabin, and Linda was the sweetest host. I was in an accident a week prior and dealing with rental car issues and she offered to let me reschedule (I didn't have to). The cabin is in a beautiful spot and very cozy. Being able to bring my dogs made life a lot easier, and I greatly appreciate Linda's hospitality and kindness after checkout.

Was perfect for what we needed visiting family. House was clean and very tidy/comfortable. Very private with only one close neighbor. Room for dog to run around. Host responded to my check-in question promptly and friendly. Overall, great for our visit and needs. Being dog friendly was a huge plus! Also, it’s right off the interstate so easy to jump to Johnson city or Kingsport if needed. Only item to consider is no wifi or tv. We didn’t need it as we spent limited time at the house other than sleeping. But, some may need it. Just note in case this is a priority for your trip. Thanks for letting us stay and we hope to be back soon!

My family and I had a wonderful stay 🤗 The cabin is beautiful and cozy and the view was stunning! We spent a lot of our time out on the balcony enjoying the view, walking our dogs around the area and in the living room watching movies 🎥 Only complaint is that when we arrived after driving 15hrs to get there, the cabin was unfortunately dirty. Very dusty, dirty bathrooms, bedsheets were stained and did not look or smell washed at all, trash and clothes left over from previous guests were littered on closet floors. It looked like the cleaning crew was not in the mood to do their jobs 😅 We arrived around 6pm, very tired from our trip and had to put all our bed sheets to wash and clean all the mess left behind :( Our host was kind enough to refund the cleaning fee. (Also the WiFi was VERY slow) But we did not let any of that ruin our trip so overall we had a great time! 🌟

Cabin of our dreams. Much needed escape from house hunting. Quiet, private, pristine natural surroundings. Cooked all our meals in a fully stocked kitchen. Anything we needed for preparation was easy to find and organized. Hiked the trail around the property. Hung out at the lake. Built a few fires in the fire pit by the creek. This will be our go to stop when in the Rogersville area. Loved everyday and wish we could have stayed longer. Bonus: comfy couch and wonderful mattress.

Such a beautiful and cozy cabin. Perfect for a getaway weekend, & appreciated being able to bring our dog along with us. Everything was clean, there was wood for a fire, & way more helpful amenities in the kitchen than we expected! We stopped at the store on the way in and didn’t leave the place once, it had everything we needed. Thank you!

Our family very much enjoyed this beautiful and unique property. The peaceful and cozy cabin provided a wonderful place for us to return each day after visiting local family and friends, and we found the time shared with each other around the fireplace was an added bonus. We will return whenever we’re back in Rogersville! A great experience!

My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Rustic Retreat. The view and surrounding property was beautiful and peaceful! The sunrises were stunning. The cabin itself was cozy and delightful with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

This is an exceptional destination. Absolutely beautiful and the river was very relaxing to hear. The mountains and the animals we saw were an added bonus. It is everything and more than we were hoping for. We will absolutely return.

This was our second stay at Mike and Jana's and it was just as great as the first time. It is a lovely secluded place with great views and what truly makes the stay is amazing hosts that want nothing more than to make sure you have a great stay. If you like a secluded location that's peaceful and away from the hustle and hustle, this is the place.

Sweet little cabin with a lovely view of the river. Amanda even had it all decorated for Christmas! It was super cold during our stay and the cabin stayed nice and toasty warm. Bed was divinely comfortable. Amanda was great to deal with and even left us fresh eggs. A couple of notes for potential guests..the driveway is extremely steep. We have a big 4wd vehicle but a 2wd car might find it challenging. Also FYI, restaurants that serve alcohol are few and far between in the area, so if you are looking for a cocktail with dinner, you will struggle.
