Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt mitten in den Teeplantagen 🌿✨ Unsere Zeit in der Tea Cabin in Ella war einfach wunderschön! Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in den Teeplantagen und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick ins Grüne – perfekt zum Entspannen. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der stilvollen Einrichtung, der tollen Terrasse und dem traumhaften Pool. Leider hat das Wetter nicht ganz mitgespielt, aber selbst im Regen war es ein Erlebnis! Wir haben es uns in der gemütlichen Badewanne mit Blick nach draußen gutgehen lassen und am Morgen sogar einen Pfau auf einer Palme beobachtet – einfach magisch! Wer nach Ruhe, Natur und einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diesen besonderen Ort nur weiterempfehlen.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

It was the best place we stayed in Sri-Lanka. The staff were the nicest people, very helpful. We stayed in many places, but this one is something special. Great place, great view, location and staff. They even have the big book with hundreds of reviews inside. Like old school stile. The place is really authentic (in the good way) Highly recommended!

Es waren wunderbare Tage im Ella Retreat und wir haben die ausgesuchte Gestaltung und Umgebung der Unterkunft sehr genossen! Affen leben friedlich in unmittelbarer Nähe und wir konnten sie wunderbar von ganz nahem beobachten. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an Kushan, der sich sehr freundlich und fürsorglich um alle Belange kümmerte und uns sorgsam bei einer Wanderung zum Wasserfall durch den Dschungel begleitete. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ausgewählt gestaltet, die kleinen Dinge die Momente groß machen :) Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Lovely little cabin in a wonderful, secluded location. High quality finish in the bedroom & bathroom - everything appeared new, was working, clean and maintained. The balcony area is a peaceful and scenic place to sit out and it's only a minute or two down to the river for a dip. The on-site restaurant serves good quality food at reasonable prices, which can be delivered to the room. Friendly and helpful staff on site who help as needed but also give privacy. Highly recommended.

Lasithas brother Damit and the rest of the crew were the most kind and helpful people! We found Ella town too busy and noisy for our taste but thanks to the incredible staff we got a memorable experience anyway!

Amazing peaceful setting, interesting historic house with beautiful surroundings gardens -unbelievable pool view. Perched in the mountains it feels detached from the main thoroughfare. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Host was very polite, kind and considerate, he helped us when our vehicle was stuck. Food was tasty.

We had an unforgettable stay at Tharaka’s place with his wonderful family. The breathtaking views of Ella's Rock, warm hospitality, and convenient location made our experience truly special. Tharaka and his family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and his wife’s cooking was exceptional—some of the best Sri Lankan food we had on our entire trip. We can’t recommend staying here highly enough!

The villa is set in a peaceful riverside location, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and come with private bathrooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. What truly made this place special was the warm hospitality of Sujee and his wife. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from delicious home-cooked meals to helpful recommendations for exploring the area. A highlight of my trip was visiting the elephant orphanage—an absolutely incredible experience! If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with welcoming hosts and easy access to Udawalawa's natural beauty, Peacock Riverside Villa is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
