Had a wonderful stay quiet and private location felt closer to my partner after our stay here together. Close to nature but with all the amenities of a great hotel. Felt very relaxed and comfortable in the space as soon as we stepped in the door. Host was extremely quick to respond to any and all questions about the home and about the surrounding area. Couldn’t have been happier with the stay, make sure to bring a vehicle that doesn’t struggle on the drive up with hills to this stay though!

Sharon’s home was peaceful, quiet, private, and beautiful. Need I mention spacious? We didn’t realize there were two bedrooms with queen beds, plus a children’s room with bunk beds. The deck had a wonderful view of the valley and hills beyond it through the trees, the kitchen was well-stocked and fun to cook in, the furniture was stylish but comfy, and the bathrooms were spacious and pristine. Truly a wonderful space!! We drove in two cars: one with AWD and one without. Neither of us had trouble getting up and down the hill despite some ice/snow on the bend. The driveway is somewhat steep but not more than 1/4 mile long and looked walkable if needed. We were intimidated by the other reviews but found it far less intimidating in person. We recommend bringing your own wood for the fireplace/hot tub as a back up in case the wood provided doesn’t start. There are no neighbors visible from the property. We were delighted to have such a private and quiet space to relax in!

John and Jade's place was awesome! It was secluded and in a beautiful area. Wardensville was a quick drive away and had food and grocery options. They were responsive hosts and everything stated in the listing was exactly as described. Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!

magnificent stay! this was exactly what we are hoping for, a quiet, peaceful place nestled away from the stresses of the world. we love the Christmas decorations still up that added an extra sense of coziness. place is very well appointed with a very comfortable couch, recliner chair, working fireplace, and tons of cozy blankets. it seemed like the decks went on forever! the hot tub was incredible, especially with all of the snow around us. Jacob's communication was superb. very proactive, sending information a day in advance with very specific instructions and details to make check-in seamless. he was incredibly responsive and helpful. Honestly, this was one of the most magical stays I've had on airbnb, and I've been using the service since 2012! highly recommend!

This cabin was a great choice for accommodating a large group of people. The cabin is huge and there was space for 16 people where we didn’t feel we were on top of each other. We also had plenty of parking. The cabin is older and with older cabins comes lack of insulation so you can hear everything through the walls, floors, and ceilings. Beware of nails and hooks in the walls that may catch you off guard. The cabin was very well stocked in every single room and in every way possible. If you aren’t use to the mountains, the driveway can be a little concerning but just go slow and you’ll be fine. The larger dining room table was nice to sit down together and enjoy meals. The huge table outside was also a nice addition where we could all sit and enjoy the evening. The view is gorgeous and it was extremely peaceful. The host was very friendly and very responsive to any questions. Thank you to the host for sharing this property! My group would definitely book this property again!

This location was fantastic, plenty of room and things to do. Very peaceful. The host had clear directions on how to make this stay as smooth as possible, and was very communicative ! We stayed here with 3 dogs and 8 people including two children. It was dog and kid friendly! Every time we thought “oh we should have brought” we would find it at the house. It was the best stocked place we have ever stayed at. Would highly recommend.

We loved our relaxing stay- we sat by the fire, watched movies, played pool, and skied and hiked during our visit. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The host provided extras that were unexpected- handsoap, shower toiletries and a welcome basket of chocolate. So sweet! The house was spacious for our family of 6. I loved that we could all be together and then retreat to our own spaces for sleep.

very private getaway with a beautiful view!! very secluded and away from public , so it is a great place to relax. we stayed three nights, day 1 we hiked Lost River State Park to Cranny Crow Overlook, day 2 we drove just over an hour to Shenandoah National Park , and day 3 we drove to Seneca Rocks and stopped along the river in route as well as Trout Pond. It was always great to get back into the Little Black Cabin. the Dogs loved watching in to the mountains from the deck outside. Lovely bird watching in the mornings around the cabin. Only wildlife we seen were a few bald eagles, a fox, and plenty deer outside the cabin in the woods . Would recommend 10/10 times if your looking for a country style mountain getaway!

Our stay at this cabin wonderful. The living space was beautiful, cozy, and perfectly maintained, making it a true home away from home. We especially loved how close it was to a stunning hiking trail, less than five minutes away, which allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Although we brought a few things to utensils to cook with , we quickly realized we didn’t need to because the kitchen and the entire house were stocked with everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail and thoughtful amenities made our stay incredibly comfortable. Thank you!!

One thing we loved about this place was how stocked it was. Refrigerator has all kinds of condiments, pantry has all the spices and oils and such and you get access to it all! Another thing that we enjoyed about this place was how dog friendly it was. We love to bring our dogs when we can, and you can tell Sara loves her animals by how much she provides for them! Overall we loved this place. We will definitely be back sometime next year! The drive up the mountain has a narrow road but manageable, even in a truck. We traveled to local towns and even some trails and the scenery is just beautiful.

Our stay was delightful, the cabin was beautiful, and Shaleen was incredibly flexible and responsive when we were hit with inclement weather. We hope to be back soon!

Can’t say enough about how perfect Donna’s place is and how gracious a host she was! The house is in a beautiful spot with views of the mountains and more than enough space to accommodate 6 adults and 6 children from 6 months old to 7 yrs. She was always quick to respond to my questions prior to our stay. And absolutely went above and beyond by decorating the house with balloons inside and out since she knew we were celebrating my son’s 40th birthday! What a nice gesture! The house is well stocked with what you need and the rooms are all comfortable! We had a memorable time and are talking about booking again in the future when weather is warm and we can use the pool. It’s one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at!

I recently stayed at this cozy cabin for two nights with 12 of my friends, and it was an absolute blast! The cabin was spacious and well-equipped, making it perfect for our group. It had everything we needed, from a well equipped kitchen to comfortable seating areas, and the rooms were cozy with enough space for everyone. The Hideaway was perfect for our girls getaway! The house was the CLEANEST Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Literally spotless. The attention to detail was so impressive and much appreciated. We had everything we needed! We loved having a fire in the woodstove and cozying up on the couch for movies! We felt right at home. Adam and Chelsea were super responsive and great hosts! Would give it 10 stars if I could!

My husband and I rarely get away alone while raising 3 kiddos. This place was perfect for a weekend away to disconnect from the every day chaos we live. Jason is a great host! Very clear instructions and a great list of recommendations for the surrounding area. This cabin was very cute and updated. Loved the vibe! Everything was clean including all linens and towels. The host was very responsive if anything was needed throughout our stay. Loved the coffee bar and the option of a towel warmer. The hot tub was very clean and well kept. I would stay again when in this area!
