Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfy very cosy! Lots of animals paid us a visit so make sure to shut the door! We were told the ducks and goats will come inside! Lovely lakes if you like fishing or just walking around. The watermill restaurant really lovely food. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lovely lodge would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay, the lodge had everything you could want. It felt so homely and the added touches made the weekend, from the extras for the dogs like ensuring the whole place was enclosed to the air fryer, blankets and hot tub robes. It had everything you could want for a break away. The location was beautiful and very private! Had a fabulous weekend away

We had a lovely stay at Vicky’s lodge, it’s a beautiful space, the verandah overlooking the river is really special and the hot tub was a welcome bonus. We enjoyed exploring Howarth and the surrounding area. Definitely well worth a visit.

Emma is exceptional. She's quick to reply to anything you ask about or for. You are left alone in peace. She makes it very clear that she's very much focused on making your stay warm, enjoyable and relaxing. I'd highly recommend going here and very quickly you'll realise how great it is. Family break with 6 adults and 2 children (3&7). Due to the previous guests and new cleaners there were a few issues on arrival - but Mandy sorted all of these straight away with no problem. The accommodation and location were perfect for our day out to Stockeld Park - which I can't recommend enough - what a great place! The hot tub was lovely. We would book again if we were to go to Stockeld Park again. Thank you Mandy

We arrived early and parked up at the lodge at Ashley was just finishing the clean so we had chance to meet and had a lovely chat about the park and lodge. We left here to it as we had booked for lunch at the Gamekeepers and the staff were super friendly the cask ales (Tetley's, Saltaire Blonde & Timothy Taylor Best and Landlord) were all in excellent condition and always helps when staff know how to pull a good pint. Open sandwiches were our choice and both were excellent and fresh. The allocated seating for dog owners was very pleasant. The site is fantastic, lots of open spaces for our labradoodle to explore. Then to the lodge and it did when it said on the tin, lovely layout, comfy beds, exceptional showers and end of a cul de sac elevated location meant zero traffic and the very occasional pedestrian taking a stroll. We are coming back as its simple location location to visit the Dales.

Excellent accommodation and even better hosts. The accommodation was as expected from the pictures, very warm and had everything you need from an amenities perspective. I feel it would benefit from a larger duvet though as my wife and I were taking it in turns stealing the duvet through the night, the room was warm so wasn't too big of a deal though. Shower is powerful and very nice! We found the decking was very slippery due to the ice so it would be good if some gritting salt was nearby. Location wise it's 30seconds walk to the sites cafe and pool/gym and the site itself is just a short drive to Grassington, Burnsall and Skipton. Lots of great walks, we would definitely recommend the Grassington-Burnsall walk as it's one of our favourites. Our stay was unfortunately cut short due to local weather warnings for snow and when we contacted the hosts, they was very accommodating, even providing a very fair refund as it was out of our control.

A long awaited break and worth every minute. Quiet, pet friendly, walks from the site available, so for a short break, plenty to do in the area without having to go far.

We had a great couple of nights at the Elder Cabin. Cosy space to chill with added bonus of the hot tub. Easy to get to the centre of York for daytime activities and then again in the evening via local taxis.

The most gorgeous few days away at this lovely lodge. Everything was peaceful and easy to find and figure out. Unfortunately the wifi wasn’t working too well to begin with however this soon started working after Liam came and fixed it for us and even bought us chocolates for the inconvenience. Neither of us wanted to leave today and hopefully we’ll be back soon, everything was perfect

As soon as you turn into the private driveway and see the main house and grounds, you know you've made a great decision. Entering the cabin definitely has the 'wow' factor, absolutely everything has been extremely well designed and thought through, I could've stood in the shower for hours and the view from the bed via the window is stunning overlooking the hills. The kitchen is compact but don't be deceived, it has literally everything you'll need to cook most things. If you like long walks, there are plenty, literally from the door. (I'd recommend downloading the OS maps app) We did an 8 mile walk the first day and a 7 mile walk the second. Hawes town is only a 10-15 minute drive away and has shops and pubs etc which is really handy for supplies and a drink after the walk.. We stayed for 3 nights and could've easily stayed longer, it had absolutely everything we wanted and thoroughly enjoyed it. Quiet, peaceful, private. We'll definitely be back again. I'd highly recommend

Lovely quiet spot in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside but only a short drive from Knaresborough and Harrogate. Would definitely stay again.

perfect just perfect . this place is an absolute gem we arrived on Friday evening the cabin was lovely and cosy with fire going snd soft music playing there was even a little something nice left in the fridge for us. the place was immaculately vlean and tidy .Duncan was extremely helpful with directions to his place and with his recommendations for eating out. we will definitely be returning sometime in the summer .

We were very impressed with the accommodation. It was a lot more spacious than the photos suggested. We had a lovely time and found it very convenient to have the bus stop outside the door to get into York city centre. It was a 30min walk a to retail park in Huntington itself or a 6min drive. A good homely place for a winter break.

Nicky was an excellent host. When we arrived he had saved us a car parking space. He welcomed us into our accommodation and took the time to show us round. He explained where everything was, and he had left us milk in the fridge and tea and coffee , there were also toiletries in the bathroom The whole place was pristine , spotlessly clean and well cared for. The location was ideal. No more than 5 minutes easy walk to the village . We are hoping to stay again , we loved it there.

Super friendly and amenable, great communication and a lovely welcome received. Quaint, clean, adorable and very romantic, great for a weekend away, just what we needed. Would highly recommend A*😁
