Very nice home with lots of charm. I used to deliver news papers to this house when I was a kid in the 80s! Other than terrible weather- we left the day of the March 2025 ice storm that knocked power out across Alpena County for a few days after we left! But the house was nice, very cozy and comfortable. Beds were excellent. Shower was hot with great water pressure. All you need during a cool spring stay.

Cheryl’s place was amazing! Lots and lots of room, very well stocked! We will definitely stay there again. Cheryl was very responsive and answered all of my questions.

The Lake House was absolutely perfect for our busy family of five (kids ages 14, 11, and 8) plus our golden doodle! We even extended our trip one more day because we didn’t want to leave! The house had plenty of space and everything we needed and more. The property was beautiful and secluded. We spent our time drinking our coffee on the wooden swing watching the sun rise, swimming in the lake, catching frogs and crayfish, and cooking over the campfire at night. The lake is pretty shallow off the dock, so we weren’t able to fish there but we rented a boat from Dodge Marine (highly recommend) and spent a lot of time exploring the rest of Long Lake and fishing. We caught perch, the biggest blue gill I have ever seen, small mouth bass, and pike. Thank you, Nancy, for sharing your home and being a part of creating wonderful memories. It was seriously the best way to close out our summer!

Staying at Two Trees was the perfect fall weekend getaway for my husband, pup and I! The location was perfect to explore the Huron manistee National forest and do some hiking at the Lumberman’s memorial. We also went up to Alpena to try the breweries and the winery. We really enjoyed the Alcona brew haus in harrisville as well - they catered to my husbands allergies and had many vegetarian options for me! Their Oktoberfest was my favorite beer I tried. Our favorite part of the trip was staying at the cabin though - the beach access was amazing and we loved relaxing by the water or walking and rock hunting. The queen bed was also very comfortable and the house has all the amenities you could think of. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to spend some time in the area, at the beach, or in the National forest!

This home is a little slice of heaven. The view of the creek and all the trees is just what we needed for a change of scenery in March. The 4 seasons room with all the windows was the best place to hang out and had the most comfortable couch. The openness of the entire house helped us feel like we were all together all of the time. Being able to bring our dog was also a bonus. There's a door right on the deck with steps to the yard for the dog. She had a blast exploring the property! I would have thought that a place that allowed dogs would have had a dog smell, but it didn't at all. You'd never know that other dogs had stayed there. It snowed about 3 inches while we were there, and a snow shovel was left on the porch for us, which we did use. Anything and everything that you could possibly need was provided. I brought a few kitchen things I needed (like a hand mixer and kitchen brush for food), only to find that they had those items there! They literally provided everything!

I had a wonderful time here! So peaceful and private, great outdoor space, and the home was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated! I felt right at home and was able to be comfortable quickly! Rachel was quick to respond, provided recommendations, and the pricing was perfect! Highly recommend for a family getaway, couples retreat, or even a solo mom trip (like myself)! I had a wonderful stay at this adorable cottage! It was beautifully decorated, clean, and had all the amenities I needed. The peaceful back yard was a highlight, perfect for morning coffee. The lake was just a short walk from the cottage. Highly recommend this charming spot for a relaxing escape!

Absolutely a beautiful cabin, there is access to a lot of golf courses and restaurants that are a short drive away. As others have mentioned there is everything that you need at the cabin.
