We loved our stay at the beach! We even got to view the northern lights from the deck. Pretty close walk to the beach. Lots of kitchen supplies, pet friendly - although our dog stayed at home this time. We love the location and would like to stay again. Marsha, was a very responsive host and easy to communicate with.

True Rest & Relaxation with beautiful views! Mark and Paul have designed a beautiful home that is expertly decorated and thoughtfully supplied with all the essentials for a week at the beach. We love the beach off-season and we truly relaxed here as never before. The proximity to the beach is ideal and the upper decks made it easy to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets over the water on the ocean side and the sound side. We were cozy and warm with comfy places to hang out inside even when it was snowy outside. They even made the home perfect for our furry companion with baby/doggie gates perfectly placed and even a cute spot under the stairs. Thank you for great communication, an impeccably clean and updated home, and the most relaxing week we have had in a very long time.

We enjoyed the cottage very much. It was just what we wanted - no frills, but clean and functional, right on the beach, and away from the intense development of the beach farther north.

A perfect long winter weekend at the beach. Everything was just as described. The location is great — essentially right on the beach with easy access across the street. The house is well-stocked with everything needed. The hot tub is clean and in a great location to listen to watch waves or stargaze. Our two pups loved the freedom of the dog run and the beach location. We would definitely stay here again; in facts, can’t wait to return.

Maria’s place was wonderful! Excellent location steps from the beach and local restaurants. So much to do nearby, with a great small beach town vibe. It’s residential, so even July 4 weekend the beach was sparse compared to nags head. Everything was as advertised with the house and Maria was an excellent host. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week here in December! The house is exactly as pictured, and the heated pool was a definite plus this time of year. We really appreciated all the detailed instructions around the house as well. The location was perfect for us…very close to the beach and the Ocracoke ferry. James responded quickly to the minor questions we had. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a peaceful Outer Banks getaway.

The place was described accurately. It was easy to find- just a walk away from the beach! There are restaurants and stores nearby. Multiple gas stations are also close by. The driveway is more than enough for 3 cars! If I were to stay in Buxton again, I’d book this spot again!

Aja's Turquoise Beach House is a treasure--steps from the beach, brand new, clean, comfy, and stylish, and Aja communicates promptly and clearly. Nag's Head is such a charming, peaceful beach on the Outer Banks, and the house is only a couple of miles from the picturesque and historic Bodie Island Lighthouse. I rode one of the cottage's bikes there and back. Aja gave great recommendations for local restaurants too. I can't wait to return!

This place was the first place we rented that actually matched its description. Beautifully maintained. It was clean, free of clutter, and comfortable. Every year we travel to Avon and have had our share of below average stays but this one was excellent! We will be back for sure and hopefully rent this house again!

We had a mini family reunion to celebrate my 60th birthday. The home was perfect for our family. We had planets of room to share meals together. We had fun playing the games the host had available for guests. We had a lot of fun hanging out and relaxing by the pool and in the hot tub! We had fun competing to see who could win the most games on the pool table. We would definitely recommend the home to others interested in a relaxing and fun week at the Outer Banks! We would love to stay there again.

Our stay was very quiet and relaxing. We did go during off season so a lot of businesses had limited hours or were closed which is expected. The places we did go to in that area were great and we would definitely be back. The house was very nice and enjoyable. We would book here again.

Had a great, quiet stay here for Thanksgiving. The house is spacious and has beautiful views over the ocean. The short walk over the dunes was perfect for the kids. We’ll be back! Thank you for hosting :)

Dare Dream was the perfect place for quiet beach getaway. The house had many games to play, and we particularly enjoyed the ping pong table. Location was perfect, with easy access to the local gym and coffeehouse. Views from the living room and deck were beautiful. Host was extremely responsive, with replies within minutes to a few questions we had, and provided detailed instructions for check-in and using the house's many amenities. The kitchen was very well-equipped with just about everything a guest could conceivably need. The house was particularly well-organized for those of us who bring the furry members of the family on holiday. Out two toy poodles thoroughly enjoyed themselves. All in all, an outstanding value that we recommend most highly.

“Lady of Dare” was an incredible stay for myself and my extended family. Altogether, we had a group of 10 adults and two large dogs. We couldn’t believe the fair price of this house for our stay when we were planning and acted quickly to reserve our week. Man are we glad we did. The property has everything you could possibly want for an OBX beach vacation. Hot tub, pool, multiple decks, plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms for privacy, large open living space, HUGE deck bar by the pool, outdoor showers AND bathroom. The list could continue on. Great location next to the Avon Fishing Pier. Close enough to shops and restaurants but far enough that we had 100 yards of beach to ourselves everyday. I can’t say enough about “Lady of Dare”, it exceeded all of our expectations in every way. Both Russell and Hannah were incredibly responsive anytime we had questions or concerns and made sure they were resolved immediately. We will be back again as I can’t recommend Lady of Dare enough! We come to the OBX, specifically Southern Nags Head every year. This house is by far our favorite. We usually get a home that is right on the beach, but this house sits one house back. We found this to be even better than oceanfront. The house is positioned so you can see the ocean between the two homes in front. The walk to the beach was very easy and quick. We love the keyless entry - don't think I can go back to having to keep up with a key anymore. The house was very clean and comfortable. Lots of space to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped - even had an air fryer! We had brought our own, but didn't need to bring it in. Our favorite spot (well, other than the beach) was sitting on the screened in porch looking out at the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet - seems that most of the homes on the street are not rentals. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 in regards to the price, but it appears that most of the homes in this area have more expensive rent just since last year.

Mila was great to deal with. Very responsive when I had questions. Everything was labeled within the home which made it easy to find things. I loved the setup, very quiet neighborhood. Home was beautiful inside and out. Would highly recommend and will probable rent again.

The pictures don't do this place justice. It's an incredible location with more than enough space for 4+ adults and can easily fit more. Quiet, tons of natural light with phenomenal sunset views every night (sunrises not too shabby either). Comfortable furniture, good AC, great kitchen space and amenities. Enough kayaks and paddle boards for the Brady bunch family. Good shower pressure and internet. Master bed was very soft for those with bad backs like myself but stellar stay overall.

Morgan's house is tastefully furnished and full of light. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, and everything very clean. The beach is very close and was absolutely glorious because we went out of season and although it was sunny and warm there were few people about - only a few locals fishing. The children appreciated all the equipment for building sandcastles. We found some good restaurants open.

Beautiful location on the sound side. Stayed with my sister and my dog. Was the perfect calming getaway we hoped for. The walk to the beach is only 10mins across and there’s a fantastic coffee shop on the way. We’re big sunrise, sunset, and star gazers. This location was the perfect spot for all 3. Off season doesn’t have many restaurants open near by, but there’s a grocery store 5mins down the road and all amenities needed to cook were provided. Highly recommend this relaxing stay!

Sherry’s place was spacious and well-equipped. Sherry herself was so kind - she helped us out with a car battery issue by lending us a charger. Quick response times and an overall great weekend!

We had a great stay at Out of the Blue. Margot was so responsive and helpful. Perfect location to get to/from beach easily and close to grocery, restaurants. Comfortable home. Would definitely return!

Lovely cottage in great location! Short/easy walk across dunes to beautiful beach. Small and cozy but very well organized and appointed. Relaxing place to spend New Year’s. Look forward to returning during the on-season sometime.
