We are on a roadtrip around North Island. We started 2 weeks ago. And our 2 night stay at the cabin was just what we needed: a relax-day. The weather was great, the view over the sea phantastic, the family wild turkeijs walking around our cabin so nice. We did a small beach walk and most of our time we sat on the veranda. Sometimes looking through the binoculars. We did nothing. We felt at home. Andrew gave good and complete instructions before we came in. We felt it nice that we have met Christine. She informed us friendly about her farming and about the environment. Thank you Andrew and Christine for your hospitality 😊

A really great Air bnb, just what we needed. Beautiful location and the photos don't do it justice. Really relaxed vibe and a good sized space.

Love love love everything about this home. The views, the animals, the conversations. Everything was like a fairytale. The fruit from the farm was delicious (even tried a new type of fruit I’d never had!), the tub was perfect for a nice relaxing soak after being at the beach all day. Will be coming back here when I visit NZ again. 11/10

Great views and friendly hosts.

This is such a peaceful place to stay, nestled in the hills just outside of Matamata. Check in was a breeze and the place was perfect to relax with some cheese and crackers for dinner, after a little stroll around the area - although we could apparently have ordered pizza for delivery if we had been hungry! The hdmi cable made it easy to stream some tv and then we enjoyed a great nights sleep in the comfy bedrooms. The Heatpump wasn’t needed as there were big screens on the windows allowing a nice cooling breeze without letting the bugs in, but good to have it available and situated between the bedrooms. The fridge was stocked with some thoughtful supplies too. A great little spot to stay!

Absolutely loved our time at Judith's beautiful house, we ended up booking an extra night to have a bit more time! She and her husband were so lovely and we had the pleasure of meeting both their gorgeous golden retrievers which was very special. Would highly recommend the stay!

We had an amazing stay! The place is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotless and well-designed for comfort. Brian and Jenny were incredible hosts—warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I especially loved how instantly we felt at home. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

I've stayed in many air bnbs over the years but this one has to be my favourite of them all. John And Sue left so many personal touches. They were incredibly kind and accommodating and were absolutely lovely with our children as well. They showed us all around the farm and let the kids feed the animals which they loved. The space as well was incredible. So comfortable and relaxing with amazing views all around, and just a short drive to Raglan. Our only regret was not booking for longer.

Loved the cottage in Karaka. Beautiful, charming, quiet, peaceful area in the Southern end of Auckland. The cottage has a great kitchen with everything you need. Michelle left a lovely fresh loaf of bread and eggs for us. Super comfy bed with top quality linen. The central aircon is great. The outdoor bath tub was the highlight for me, just wonderful to gaze at the stars at night! Had a wonderful stay, many thanks Michelle.

We were looking for a stop over somewhere between stops that would cut the distance having to drive on any particular day. The Nest was perfect, set just off SH1 north of Auckland it was an ideal stop over. There is as much or as little to do locally and some great options to eat out or as we did dined sat on the balcony taking in the wonderful view and waiting for the odd fleeting visit from a Fantail or two. It was such a relaxing space and we were blessed with a clear night so stargazing was a real treat. This is a wonderful location to recharge batteries and chill !

Great peaceful location to spend after or before an international flight. The surroundings are beautiful. We loved the great deck and the comfortable bed. We would highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely 2 night stay - quiet, private and tranquil with beautiful views of rolling hills and paddocks. Kelly is an excellent communicator and swift to assist. Everything is as described; the listing descriptions are well-crafted with honesty and integrity. Happy to have found this place and would recommend to others!

We just loved this place. Our little family had the most wonderful time here. We loved being surrounded by nature and waking up to the sounds of the birds. The outside bath was such a treat. We will definitely be back!

From the description of Karen’s place being “country”, I didn’t expect that it would be in a densely populated neighborhood as it is. Still, privacy was an important consideration in creating the cottage. Being very close to Hwy 2 makes it very convenient to services. Traffic noise was often heard with windows open. Also, just below the property a highway is being built and heavy machinery can sometimes be heard during the day. There are sheep being farmed closeby on the hillside property, though the only farm animal I occasionally heard was a small deer. Karen is a very attentive host, eager to assure my comfort and meet needs. Her place is stylish, bright, and has nice views of the surrounding area through sliding glass doors. I cooked my breakfast cereal and dinner in the kitchenette, and value that amenity. I found Karen’s place to be convenient and comfortable for my needs!

I had a great stay here, the house was immaculate, and well stocked. An easy place to stay while enjoying the local activities in Waipu. Beautiful outlook and for a rural property felt like it wasn’t too far off the beaten track. Highly recommend :)

We loved our night at Melissa and Charlie’s barn house. Very clean and comfortable. Coming from Auckland we had the country experience we were looking for including the beautiful pigs and roosters. We would highly recommend

A Home with an Unforgettable View—But So Much More! Deborah’s home is absolutely immaculate, and the thoughtful welcome gift of local sparkling wine and Raglan chocolates was such a lovely touch. We stayed for three nights at the end of our trip, it was the perfect place to unwind while exploring Raglan and its stunning beaches. Perched on a hill, the house offers breathtaking views of rolling farmland and the coastline—an incredible way to start the day with coffee outside and to end it with a glass of wine at sunset. Everything is set up to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is impressively stocked with all the essentials for a short stay—olive oil, spices, flour, and even coffee pods. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed with incredibly comfortable mattresses, and the bathrooms with fluffy towels and even a flat iron in the primary suite. Our son was thrilled with the family room’s pool table and table tennis setup—it was a fantastic bonus! This home is truly a gem!

Perfect setting for a relaxing evening on the deck with beautiful views. So peaceful just south of Auckland is exactly what we needed after our 1st day of driving! Off to a great start with accommodations on our 2 week adventure! Thank you Jan and John!

What a lovely stay. Anette and Keith were the most wonderful hosts. Super friendly and took time out of their day to let our children go feed the sheep and alpaca which they absolutely loved. Surroundings were so gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing. Anette and Keith recommended some great places nearby and we got to go to a nice beach and lots of restaurants only 10 minutes away. Such a nice and relaxing end to a busy trip. Would 100% recommend, such a fabulous place to stay and the best hosts imaginable. ♥️

Lovely homey place. Gets quite hot in summer tho with no AC. Well equipped kitchen. Good TV setup. Just wish the windows had mosquito nets.
