This was my second visit to the house and even better than I remembered. A perfect place to come with my loved ones to celebrate turning 30. I can’t thank you enough for creating a home from home. We didn’t want to leave! I am sure I’ll be back again!

Gorgeous property in a great location, easily walkable from the train station, city centre and bus stops onto the university of Lancaster. Responsive and helpful host. comfortable beds and great facilities. Perfect for a stay with friends or a family.

Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

We had such a lovely stay in Ulverston! The accommodation was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It was even better than expected — beautifully decorated and in a perfect location for exploring the Lake District. What made it extra special was how dog-friendly it was. Our pup was welcomed with open arms, and there were some thoughtful touches like dog bowls, and tennis ball. We found plenty of great walks nearby, and the town itself is very pet-friendly with lots of dog-welcoming pubs and cafes. Hannah was incredibly helpful providing great local recommendations and making us feel right at home. Great recommendation for the Rose & crown (steak pie is incredible!)

Paul’s cottage really was a delight lt was everything that we needed for our time in Windermere. Very good transport connections to get to Bowness and other parts of the lakes, very good restaurants and pubs. We had a lovely meal in Tapios and enjoyed a lovely lunch in Toast. Paul’s communication was great and was so handy having the parking space outside the cottage. Will definitely return thank you !!

The pictures do not do this location the justice it deserves! Perfect house for 8 of us to celebrate three 50th Birthdays. A short walk into Bowness with lots to see and do, if walking though be mindful there are some inclines back up! The hot tub view was amazing and an added bonus to this house. Simon was a very attentive host, answered very quick to any queries in the lead up and also during our stay. All in all a fab long weekend, great house and location. Would definitely recommend!

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights in the caravan, was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. In a lovely location close to the sea front.

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

A really lovely cabin with everything you need for enjoying a few days in the Lakes. We loved the location, very close to Ambleside and not far from Grasmere and Windermere for shops. Loads of nice trails available as soon as you leave the estate. We stayed with two kids and it was perfect, would love to visit again!

We had a lovely stay at oceans edge! Half Moon Bay is a 30 min walk away and has a lovely nature reserve and village to grab a coffee. Lisa was very friendly and helpful and kept us informed throughout our stay. It was ideally located for a drive to the coast, or the lake district if you wanted to go further a field. We visited Bowness on Windermere for the day, and would highly recommend to guests staying with there dogs. The accomodation was completely dog friendly, and even had treats awaiting upon our arrival. Highly recommend to couples and families alike. The caravan is fully equipped with everything you need for a brilliant get away.

really lovely place to stay in the Lake District. The accommodation is modern, clean and reasonably spacious (it can sleep 5 but dining table is small and can only fit 4). But the bedrooms are nice with super comfortable beds, and both bathrooms are right next to each bedroom, which is really handy . The kitchen is well equipped with a washer/dryer too which we didn't use but great to know it's there for the future. Only improvements I could suggest is to include a coffee machine ( which every Airbnb property we've stayed at has had and are cheap but great for guests who enjoy a decent coffee in the morning), and for the TV to have terrestrial channels. It was a smart TV so it was great being able to connect our Netflix account to, but this and catch-up was all that was available. These are minor points as neither would stop us returning. Louise and team were very responsive to our queries which was great. We'll definitely return soon and can recommend this place.

My husband, our two dogs and I had a wonderful stay at the Den, Littlemere Lodges. This lodge surpassed our expectations! We had a beautiful lakeside view which provided such a calming ambiance as we watched the ducks and the sheep beyond on the hill. Despite its boutique size, the lodge was fully equipped with so many amenities such as a washing machine, dishwasher and lots of cutlery. Our poochons were certainly welcomed guests, considering the dog bowl, towel and poo bags that were set aside for them. We would definitely recommend! One possible con (though for us it just came as part of the change of scene from suburban to rural life) were the winding single-carriage roads leading to the property which sometimes required reversing to a widening in the road to allow passage of oncoming vehicles. However even this, felt like a small inconvenience compared to the overall lovely retreat we had at the Den.

A huge thank you to Jackie, John and Cooper 🐶 for everything during our stay this week. The accommodation was perfect for us and felt like home from home. The little additional touches were most appreciated. The location was perfect for walking our dogs, getting a train, walking into Kendal or getting in / out of Kendal by car. We would love to come back when we are next up visiting family in Kendal.

Cottage is lovely and in a great village, a short walk from a friendly pub that serves great food. Good base for travelling to the lakes and some lovely walks locally. Cottage is very warm and welcoming and our host Liz was brilliant , clear communication and very reactive.

Great place, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. A few seconds walk to the heart of Ambleside but quiet despite the proximity of bars and restaurants. We only stayed a night but being able to park close by and walk out for dinner/ breakfast pastries was a lovely bonus when we usually stay in more remote locations. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back!

Lovely place in the middle of Ambleside village. Close to many shops, restaurants, bus stops, and delightful scenic walks! As with all city stays, your level of quiet is dependent on the neighbors.

Thank you for a wonderful couple of days in your fantastic cottage - it was perfect and we all really enjoyed it - and just the right walking distance from The Eagle and Child which is a lovely place to spend the evening - we will consider staying again

Lovely little cottage that had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Comfy bed, great shower with super nice shower gel, and lots of useful bits and bobs in the kitchen. Lovely surprise to have a bottle of Prosecco and cookies left for us too - thank you! Perfect location for walking into the village, eating at Rogan & Co and exploring the Southern Lakes. We went to Netherwood Spa for a 90 min Thermal Journey which is a 10 min drive, highly recommend after a day of walking! Would definitely come back and stay here again.

Lovely cottage, very clean and spacious with 2 really good sized double bedrooms with very comfortable beds (better than many other AirBNB's!). Shower over bath was also of an excellent standard and the central heating works well. Large, recently refitted kitchen, which for once is not missing that useful utensil you were expecting to be there. Full size dishwasher, washing machine and and large fridge freezer all made the stay more enjoyable and without challenges to "make do without" anything. A good sized desk for any work or browsing on the computer is a nice touch. The area was very quiet. Good sized off-street parking but truly only for 1 car not 2. Good guide to the surrounding areas with plenty of walks, something you do not always get these days. Mobile phone signal virtually nonexistent but once your phone is linked to the wi-fi then your phone can do everything with the cottages excellent wi-fi. Recommended without hesitation.
