We loved staying at this magical treehouse. Falling asleep to the sound of birds, wildlife, and occasional rain at night was so peaceful. We slept so well! It was incredible to be immersed in nature but to also have great WiFi, very hot water, and a washing machine. We loved the indoor/ outdoor bathrooms and the beautiful woodwork in the house. Beds were super comfortable and the hammock was awesome. Joe is an excellent host. We hope to be back!

Upon arrival, the hostess was extremely quick to answer a question I had. The home was easy to find and located close to town, which met our needs perfectly. The house was immaculate and cutely decorated with local touches. My only suggestion to potential renters is to only bring 1-2 vehicles since parking is limited and you share a driveway with another home. We had 3 cars and it was a tight squeeze, however, we made it work. I would definitely rent this home again for my next visit to Kona!

Our family's stay at Joe and Anna's home was excellent and perfectly set up for our three-generation group to enjoy a relaxing stay. The home has ample and comfortable indoor/outdoor communal space, was super clean, and is kept cool by fans throughout (and AC in bedrooms). Joe and Anna are very responsive hosts and have really thought about all the details. We really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches that made it super easy for us to explore the island (snorkelling gear, beach towels, chairs, and more) and the well-stocked kitchen. It was great to be in such a quiet and convenient location, with easy access to the nearby shopping centre with a grocery store and restaurants, and beaches/activities. This property is a real gem, and we hope to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay in this very private secluded location with great views and sunsets. It was peaceful yet within 15 min of town and activities. We spent a good amount of our time on the covered porch-such a delight to hear the birds, frogs and feel the cool breeze- it was always about 10 degrees cooler than town. Only caution is to make sure stove fan is on before cooking, the smoke alarm is very sensitive. Overall a great place and would definitely stay again.

Lucky to grab this location for a few days. Accommodations were great for three parties of folks. Especially great one couple could bring their dog. Unfortunately, we missed the volcano eruptions, which started the day we checked out for home. They seemed to have everything you might need and super cozy, including the reclining couch sections were comfortable enough to sleep in!!

W enjoyed our stay. While somewhat out of the way from Hilo, it was a great spot for enjoying Volcano National Park and the south of the island. It was a very private area. The coqui frogs were loud but we expected it. It was very comfy and had what we needed. The place cooked off work at night with windows open and the fans going Doug was very helpful and offered some great suggestions of places to see. We wish that we had more time!

Great place to stay, especially with little ones. Has everything you need for beach days. Hosts were accommodating, home was clean.

The location is a great spot for a Kona vacation! The house is very clean, we stayed for a month and the cleaning crew came 3 times to keep the house spotless. We spent every night on the large porch grilling, eating and playing cards.

Megan’s space was beautiful! She was super helpful and responsive. We had a great time with our toddler and the additional toys, books, high chair, and pack n play made it much easier with her in tow. The shopping plaza within walking distance was convenient to buy a few groceries and we grabbed coffee in the morning there several days. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to make a few meals during our stay too. If having AC is crucial for your stay, this might not be for you but we hardly noticed and sleeping at night was comfortable.

This place is for those who have country in their soul. It is located on a 1 Acre lot in Keaau in what I can best describe as supersized suburbs. The AirBnB is essentially an ADU connected to the main house via a giant lanai. You are not wanting for privacy. You only share the laundry facilities, otherwise, the rental is totally self contained. The outside and inside details are fascinating with appointments from Joy and Mike's many sojourns overseas. We chose this place because of it's proximity to places the family prefers on the East side of the island. Hilo is close enough (20 min) to be convenient but far enough not to be annoying. The best aspect of this place are the hosts. They are the most respectful, helpful, sociable, and friendly folks we've met in our Airbnb'ing experience. Joy is a great cook, baker, gardener, and designer. In Mike I found a kindred spirit. A fellow vet, diy'er, I will forever remember the early morning chats we had, with our cups of coffee

We had an amazing time at Vlad and Maile’s place! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Big Island who will be spending time in Kona or Captain Cook. The house itself was beautiful and incredibly peaceful, even better than we had expected from the pictures, and the view from the deck was incredible. We loved spending time out there at any time of day but especially admiring the sunsets over the bay. There’s plenty of great food, coffee, and beaches close by that we enjoyed discovering, and we really enjoyed the snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay especially. We couldn’t have been happier with the location. The family was also super sweet. They made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived and remained friendly, communicative, and helpful for our entire stay, going out of their way to help if we needed anything, and being very gracious with us when we made mistakes. Looking forward to staying here again next time we’re on the Kona side!

That place is very peaceful as like home and very clean. I think better than picture. The location is easy to access all around island. I will definitely recommend my friend. Thanks!

Della and Max were very friendly and nice. They were very helpful with checking-in our room when we had trouble. They both shared a bucket full of fresh off-the-tree macadamia nuts which were delicious! Max shared some local suggestions with us as well. It is a quite place and isn't too far outside of Kona. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We travel frequently with our teenage/ adult kids using Airbnb or other home rental services. We've only come upon a handful of hosts and homes that really seem to understand the needs of the traveler. Priscilla and Rob's home is one of them! I unfortunately did not get to meet Priscilla on this trip, but Rob went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and yet also give us our privacy. The home is clean, organized and has all the essentials and more to make meals, and enjoy your time. The hosts provided a lovely welcome gift of food items for breakfast and snacks, as well as some beautiful produce items. If you know how expensive groceries are in Hawaii, it tells a lot about the generosity and caring of the hosts. Thank you Rob and Priscilla for a wonderful week! We made wonderful memories.

Beautiful place and view. The back porch dining was our highlight as we watched the sunset as we at salmon and veggies. Meg’s place was completely furnished and ready for our vacation. It had everything we needed. Even beach chairs, umbrella, ice chest and snorkeling gear to enjoy the ocean.

Holly's place is up to date and lovely. The view from the lanai was stunning and peaceful. The sound of the waves and a comfortable made for restful nights. The location was great for the west side of the island. It was easy to get to restaurants and various beaches. Kahalu'u beach was nearby and the snorkeling was great there. We had our own masks and snorkels, but appreciated the selection of fin sizes. Neither of us needed to rent fins. We saw whales every day from the lanai and dolphins on several occasions. The kitchen was well equipped and the farm market next door was a great source of papayas and pineapples. We used the blender and fruit to make excellent frozen daiquiris. Holly was very responsive to questions and also one minor issue we had with a lamp not working. We would definitely stay here again.

Julianne is a great host. Very responsive, gave recommendations. I felt that if I needed something she would be there to help. Her place has all the amenities you could want. Lots of bath/beach towels, utensils, appliances, dishes, pots/pans etc. There were boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkels/masks/fins and an umbrella as well. The location is 4 minutes from Kahalu'u beach which is great for snorkeling. Five minutes from Kona/shopping/restaurants. The little beach across the street was nice for watching the sunset. Pool was great with lots of chairs/lounges. Hot tub wasn't always hot. The vacant lot that the condo overlooks was great for me as I am a bird watcher and there was no shortage of parakeets, and other Hawaiian birds. There are roosters though that start vocalizing at 4:30am so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Beds were soft and comfy and the sofa with chaise in the living room was great for evenings.

It is a great place to stay in the condo. Almost have everything that for daily life. it is very convenient.

Kelly's place was a great spot in Kona. The condo was exactly as listed and had easy check in with a provided code. There was a quick snafu with check in that was quickly resolved by Kelly's responsiveness. The sand/pool area was a wonderful place for sunset and tide pool viewing. Would stay again!

This paradise is an excellent spot for your Kailua-Kona-based vacation! It is right on Alii Drive, close to the ocean and town. Sherry had beach chairs and a surf board, anything you could want for the beach. The king bed is super nice, and having the windows unit AC helped when it got warm with no breeze in the evening. we also used the pullout couch/bed, and it was surprisingly comfortable! I would rent from Sherry again, and I would rent this location. Perfect jumping off spot for our Big Island adventure.

We stayed 4 nights at Ronissa's place on our trip to Kona. The place was as described and very nice to have a dedicated parking spot. There were plenty of towels, decent snorkel gear, and the AC worked great. Very nice to have beach chairs available!! It is up a bit of a hill, so be warry if you are trying to walk a ton of places. Definitely do-able, just keep in mind for kids and older adults, walking may not be the best idea. There is a free parking lot at the bottom of the hill that we were always able to find parking at to walk around the downtown area. Ronissa was very communicative and answered any questions we had promptly, and provided excellent check-in instructions ahead of time so we had no issue getting inside and settled. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again.

Janell was a great Host! Super Easy to communicate with and she provided a great place to stay in Kona. Walking distance to everything and beautiful views! Would highly recommend her place in Kona for a guaranteed great stay!
