Great place to stay in Hilo that's central to the local attractions! Volcano National park is 40 minutes away so this is a good overnight location if your plan is to spend the day at the park. The lanai (balcony) is spacious and a great place to eat meals from each day. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items you'd need to make a home cooked meal.

The condo was as advertised-lots of beach things to use (chairs, umbrella, towels, sand toys), great kitchen with plenty of items for food prep, washer and dryer along with laundry pods available. Wi-fi worked very well to hook up multiple devices, and there were 2 televisions available as well. There was a pool, but it was across the street and did not always get full sun due to the surrounding buildings blocking the light. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

We chose Chris's place for the gorgeous view and nearness to the ocean. We were not disaeppointed; we spent all the time we were there, except for sleeping and showering, on the lanai, looking out on the ocean. We fell easily asleep to the sound of the waves. The sea breeze and the fans were sufficient to cool the apartment. When it was time for us to leave for the airport, we packed our car and gave ourselves some extra time to just sit on the lanai one last time, loving the view. I don't think I will ever forget it. We were impressed by the well-stocked kitchen and most appreciative. Beyond salt, pepper, and evo, there were spices and condiments, rice (and a rice cooker!) and soy sauce, and even some cocktail makings. The pots and pans and knives were excellent. It was no struggle at all to prepare meals and clean up with the help of a full-size dishwasher. An initial stop at a 24-hr safeway and one more trip were all we needed, plus a trip to an amazing fishmonger.

Absolutely everything you could need has been thought of for you and your family at Marta’s place! The view is incredible, the complex is gorgeous, the little smoothie/breakfast place just a building over (Green Flash) is awesome and everyone was so nice! I could not recommend this place for a couple or family stay more!!

Staying at Kona Magic Sands is just amazing! Abra’s unit is one of the best! Very clean and has everything we needed. We love have a unit with a lanai and this one did not disappoint. We love being able to just walk to the beach next door. Abra provided everything we needed to enjoy our time on the Big Island. I would definitely stay here again!

What a great place to stay! We also discovered the condo also has a couple of boogie boards and beach chairs as well as a small cooler - that was a great find. It should also be noted that the association is focused on being quiet and peaceful - no music and limited phone use on the Lanai's and public spaces - that was also really nice as you could focus on the waves and beautiful views. This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever had! The place was great- recently renovated and we loved relaxing on the balcony. And the host provided a bunch of nice to have items in case we forgot them, which was such a thoughtful touch. Would definitely come back here!

We had a wonderful, relaxed vacation at Jordan's and Mandi"s place. It was as described and very well furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the beautiful ocean over breakfast and quiet evenings catching the magnificent sunsets. For us, it was a great location from which to explore Kona and the rest of Hawaii Island. One of the most beautiful lanai we have been seen in Hawaii. I admire Mark and his family for keeping this place beautiful and tidy as it requires countless efforts.

This place is incredible for staying on the Island. Panoramic view of the ocean. Lots of space and furniture outside to enjoy the entire day on location. The grounds are amazing with something new to see or explore each day. From hammocks surrounding the deck to fire pit sitting area to relax in day and night. The host's manual has complete instructions to make the stay as comfortable as if you were living there. We went to 5 different locations as suggested in the book, so glad we did. There are plenty of bikes and outdoor gear available to use too. Private, but friendly neighborhood allows for walking, biking, and exploring at any time during the day. The stars are beautiful at night and wonderful sunrises in the morning.

Pali Hale was pure magic. Perched on a cliff with breathtaking ocean views, the energy of the waves made for a serene, unforgettable stay. The home was spotless, with fresh sea breezes and subtle Hawaiian scents setting the perfect tone. Reading and meditating on the patios was a dream, and the hosts were incredibly responsive, providing great local guides. Thoughtful touches like music on arrival made it even more special. An ideal retreat for family—truly unforgettable!

We enjpyed our visit to the Big Island. Cottage was clean and it was so nice to be away from people! Nice hearing all the birds! Thank ypu for being a great host!

Great place to stay, especially with little ones. Has everything you need for beach days. Hosts were accommodating, home was clean.

The Pagoda House is a destination in itself! We explored the island from there, but also spent time just hanging out in the garden and pool. GORGEOUS! It was well appointed for our extended family gathering.

Theresa and Justin's Mana House was perfect for us. They greeted us upon arrival, made us feel welcomed and at home. The location is perfect for south Puna and we enjoyed every minute of the screened in lanai. Can't wait to come back and stay again.

Iliahi gave us instructions and recommendations, also prepared the place well before our arrival. They were friendly and helpful. The place was exactly like what was shown on the site. It is right in front of the ocean. We enjoyed the stunning ocean view right from the balcony. Thanks, Iliahi!

We had a wonderful stay at the Condo- The space was updated and ideal for the 2 of us. Comfortable furnishings, bed, and AC. The Lanai is right on the ocean facing west, amazing sunsets, waves and the rocks that tumble into the ocean are full of beautiful yellow tang fish. We even saw a full whale breach! Wendy provides all you need, Snorkle gear, boogie boards (great boogie board beach next door), lawn chairs, cooler and clubs for golfing. Kitchen is well stocked even with food containers and baggies, etc. no need to buy coffee filters, it’s a basket. She even starts you off with some Carmel roasted coffee if you’d like. The pool is lovely, there are grills for you to use. You can walk right into town with all the restaurants and shops. Wendy will give you ideas for where to Snorkle, eat, and tours. She’s extremely responsive and a delight! It was our 1st time on the Big Island and we hope to return!

...to plagiarize a comment I saw stated in another review: stop looking and book this place! This is the one! A+++ If you have found this option based on the criteria you think you need, there is likely no better place. The location is ideal. The view of the ocean & pool is incredible--the mesmerizing surf and scenery cannot be matched. A special note: This home provides three of the most comfortable beds that might exist within the Hawaiian Islands. Also--the front foyer is chock full of everything you need for beach fun... EVERYTHING...which was so helpful and reduced expense significantly. The efforts made by the host are very notable and appreciated. (I dig air conditioning--this place has it and it works wonderfully.) We hope to return to the Big Island and if we do this will be the first place we consider to stay again. This condo is close enough to anything and far enough away from everything--it will suit anyone...and really is a perfect vacation home. Mahalo!🤙😎

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was as good and better than described. Very clean. Lots of towels for our 2 week stay. Easy walk to a good selection of restaurants and shops. Nice central location on the Big Island to use as a base to explore.

This place was perfect to stay at while we were there for my son’s tahitian competition. it had everything we needed while we were there. The only minor minor thing that was not mentioned was that there are 2 steps after you get off the elevator in order to access the front door, so if you have a stroller or wheelchair you do need to keep that in mind. but other than that stay was awesome!

Terry’s condo was a perfect landing space for me while I was in Kona! It’s a safe, walkable and beautiful location! Parking is covered and easy and the facility is clean and comfortable. The backyard was a great spot to catch the sunrises and sunsets. The bed was comfy, the shower had great water pressure and it had all the amenities you would need to cook. I loved my time here and would recommend this space to anyone! Best suited for 2 people max. Thanks, Terry, for a wonderful stay! I had a blast!

We had a great stay here. Absolutely beautiful view from the unit over the ocean with gorgeous sunsets. Easy, short drive to Kona for restaurants and other shopping needs. Well equipped kitchen and easy parking. Only minor issue was there were no shades to block the late afternoon sun in the unit. We'd happily stay here again.

Location! Location! Location! Being right by the ocean was incredible! The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Having access to a salt water pool was an absolute plus. Although the pool and hot tub were small, it was nice to take a swim and relax. The tide pools and beach were great for kids. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was just too short.
