The home was clean and very inviting. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed. The hosts were welcoming and available to answer questions but not intrusive. We didn't spend much time in the house except eating and sleeping - but it was nice to have a beautiful home away from home. Very lovely stay. Jack and Jackie, Lee and Christi

Our mountainside rainforest home was the highlight of our vacation. The view was amazing and we enjoyed breakfast on the deck every morning while spotting wildlife. There is every kind of fruit you can imagine growing around the home. It truly felt like paradise. Priscilla was very accommodating and responsive with any questions we had. If you value serenity, natural beauty, and privacy, this property is a real treat. Also, no bugs!

What a slice of paradise!! The most beautiful property and wonderful cottage. Surrounded by citrus, banana, orchids, ferns, palms and every tropical plant imaginable, the puna rainforest retreat was even more wonderful than we expected. The steam heated tub where the cherry on top. We will definitely be back!

We will rent this home again if we are back to the Big Island! We really enjoyed the different spaces. The interior was open concept and a great gathering space. The lanai porch was peaceful and very pleasant mornings and evenings. The outdoor shower and hot tub was a great space for small groups to gather.

My stay was great. The house was clean and cozy.

Have stayed here several times in different units. It works well for us. If you find older reviews complaining about the water pump being loud its no longer an issue. It was updated recently.

Great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood away surrounded by lush plants! The house was very clean and comfortable - well ventilated and stays nice and cool without the need for a/c. The yard is really nice and the front patio plus back screened in patio allowed for lots of outdoor relaxation. Had tons of outdoor gear for the beach too! Host was very responsive and check-in/out instructions were clear. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay here! Beautiful village resort with many wonderful amenities. It was nice we could store luggage at the front desk on our last day since we had an evening flight, go to the beach, and then use the showers at the fitness center before heading to the airport. Other favorite amenities were having our own washer and dryer, and having a full kitchen. Would definitely stay here again!

Margaret’s apartment was located in a great area with only a short distance to the beach and many shops/restaurants. Awesome amenities! Took the bikes out and there was snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and more!! Definitely recommend staying here!

The room was great and checkin was super flexible and easy! Great view and nice pool deck with hot tubs!

Die Unterkunft war genau wie beschrieben und sehr sauber. Rhonda war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat bei Fragen sehr schnell reagiert. Kaffee und gefiltertes Wasser wurden von Rhonda zur Verfügung gestellt. Außerdem war es eines der wenigen Airbnbs, bei denen genügend Handtücher vorhanden waren. Ich empfehle die Unterkunft von Rhonda weiter

We had an amazing stay! The apartment was so spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. We loved watching the horses from the lanai and having Buddy the dog greet us everyday when we arrived back. We felt like we had the best spot on the island to watch the sunset. The sounds of the coqui frogs at sunset was absolutely amazing and so relaxing to fall asleep to. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for self catering and it was really helpful having some things in the cupboards like spices, oil, syrup, etc. We were so sorry when it was time for us to leave!

i will remember my Hilo experience forever because of your house! It’s like living in heaven! Love the birds singing! (I never heard bird sounds like this, it has echoes! Want to know the name of the bird;). The modeling of the living area is impressive! Finally want to give extra star to the hot tub! It’s amazing to enjoy it especially when it’s raining! I’ll def come back!!

Great place to stay with kids! The one bedroom unit was very spacious. It was tidy, free of clutter, and felt safe. Kitchen came equipped with all the things we needed to cook meals for ourselves. Appreciated the packets of coffee and cleaning supplies!

We enjoyed our stay here! The hosts, Tracy and JD were friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The rooms, bathroom, and kitchen/living area were clean and decorated nicely. And the view from the deck/pool area was spectacular! Really beautiful and relaxing to watch the sunset every evening. There is also a fire pit area below. Two things to be aware of, which weren’t bad but just surprising: • There was no oven. The kitchen was well-appointed with everything one would need and even included good utensils and cookware. However, there was an air fryer which helped stand in for some easy baking needs. And an outside grill is available! • There are 2 other Airbnb rentals, both single room/bathroom combos on the same property. One is right next door to the unit and the other is in the pool area. We knew the pool/deck area was shared but thought we were just sharing with the owners. The other guests weren't a problem but we were surprised. Overall, a great stay!

This place is so special and peaceful. Pros: magical surroundings with easy access to beaches and all that North Shore offers. Feel grounded and connected to the land. Loved the lush surroundings, lizards, and gardens. Towels were soft and beds comfortable. Cons: bring bug repellant. We got a lot of bites. Also the outdoor showers only have cold water. In March that was really chilly. Also the air mattress has slow leak and needed to be topped off each day.

Loved staying here. We wanted exactly what we got. Private, green, cozy, adventurous. Loved it. A great get-way for people who like to explore and be just a bit crunchy.

Eve was very accommodating, making sure we were all settled in, had everything we needed for our stay, and gave us a tour of her beautiful gardens. Very central location which allowed us to explore Maui. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to visit Haleakala and road to Hana.

We loved our time at this cabin! Our host was on site and extremely helpful with a tour of the place and how things worked. We had fantastic weather with sunny mornings. The waterfalls were flowing but not extremely high. Our highlight was exploring the creek. Wearing wetsuits made it so we could spend all day in the cooler water. There was a nice play area and plenty of room for our children to run around outside. So tips for future renters would be to only bring food to cook on the propane stove top (in pots and pans that are provided there). We had brought 2 meals to cook in the toaster oven which needs the generator to be turned on and this took longer to bake. You may also want to bring a headlamp or flashlight as there is only overhead lighting that was not bright enough for reading at night. Kitchen cleanliness is very important to the host. We were told that if it was not exactly as we found it at checkin, that they would take it from our deposit. We took extra time to clean.

This is a lovely place to stay with lots of amenities available while feeling like you’re in the middle of the Hawaiian jungle.

Unique property you feel comfortable but in the jungle at the same time. The Jeep 4WD is a must for the road, but it will be useful around the island to go beyond the normal tourist places. Forget holiday resorts and cities, this is real escape holiday destination. Great place, great value thanks for letting us stay in your place. :-)

Absolutely loved our time in the cabin! The jungle noises, the amazing rainforest, the animals, close enough to black sand beaches and everything the east side of the island has to offer. Louise was an amazing and very helpful host. 10/10 would definitely stay again and would certainly recommend :)

I am more than happy about my stay here in mangoland. Laura is extremely friendly and has a wonderful little paradise in mangoland that she shared with us. I grew up on a ranch off grid, so this was very perfect for me and being IN THE JUNGLE was unreal. As a chef, the kitchen had all of the basics that I needed to cook home cooked meals every morning and night. The cabin was clean and the mattress was the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on. The outdoor shower was so relaxing and the water temp was perfect every time. Waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle was truly unreal. Staying here really made me realize what my life would look like living off grid on the big island, and I loved every second of it. My brain feels rewired after my stay here.
