The hosts were super responsive and checked in to make sure we were okay with getting in and out, which we appreciated. The place was beautiful in a serene location, and would definitely recommend this place and hope to return! We loved how close the black sand beach was as well.

Incredible stay all around. Gorgeous view. You can hear the waves from the main living areas. Joy thought of every detail to make us comfortable and help create an unforgettable vacation.

If you are looking for a unique Hawaii kind of experience. This is definitely your place. It is off the beaten path so make sure you read the description carefully, but this place is awesome. My family and I had a great time.

Gail and her husband are delightful ambassadors of the "aloha spirit" and wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and low maintenance. They had thoughtfully supplied the cottage on our arrival and were happy to make recommendations on activities at our request. The location was perfect for us, but may not be perfect for everyone. Every morning and night we were next to a small ocean beach in a quiet, residental location. There were no tourists in sight, only a few local surfers. It's not for everyone because it is not on a sandy beach a la Kihei, Wailea, or Kaanapali and you cannot walk to a restaurant from there. That said, the rest of the island is easily accessible from their location. We loved our peaceful stay and hope to stay there again in the future. Mahalo to Gail and her husband!

We had a very relaxing stay at this delightful vintage cottage in an outstanding location. The sunset views from the yard are absolutely incredible! The house is well equipped with beach/water gear so that you do not need to bring anything except a swim suit. We cooked many delicious meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the Kona coffee, immensely. The “Holualoa Kitchen” (restaurant) nearby was delicious and had live music that was a nice surprise. Rodney the rooster, grew on us and kept a close eye on the cottage (very glad we brought a sound machine 😉). This is a lovely, romantic place to stay and made a great “home base” for island adventures. Highly recommend.

Everything as advertised. Debra's description on the specifics of the place is accurate and exact - make sure you read it prior to avoid discrepancy in expectations. Otherwise the property is serene and very enjoyable.

Heaven on earth is an understatement. We stayed for 10 days and even that was not enough. Abbie has made this little oasis perfect, down to the decor and patio space. The tiki torch outside was a mini highlight. Abbie gave us the best recommendations and fresh towels. There are also so many kitchen amenities so we were able to buy food from the market and cook as well. The surrounding beaches were all so beautiful and different, that was our hardest decision the whole trip. Uncle Robert’s Wednesday Night Market is the epitome of happiness in one place. Thank you Ms. Abbie!

Location, location, location. An easy walk to the coffee shop and restaurants. Comfortable bed. A shower which works.

We had a lovely time here. It was close to lots of activities, and about half an hour to the Kona area. There is a beach park min away, even walkable if you don't mind the hill. There are also plenty of other beaches a short drive away. You also need to drive to get to resturants and stores, but not very far. The house was nice, and clean with large decks. It had almost everything you might need with the exception of soap/shampoo for bathing. There is also a bin of beach gear there. There was a security camera that points toward one of the main hangout areas on the deck that made us feel a little uncomfortable, but we covered when at the house. There were also people staying downstairs (we new from other reviews this was a possiblity) so it's not super private, but they were family members of the owners and were very nice and respectful. They also gave us some great tips for places to go. All in all, it was a nice place and worked well for the things we wanted to do.

The most perfect and homey cottage in an unbelievable location on our favorite part of the island, with friendly farm companions as a great bonus. Fast wifi for anyone who needs to work. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate to use the pool but looked lovely (even nicer than photos). Cannot recommend enough.

Couldn’t have been better. Exactly what my family was looking for near the volcano so we could see the lava at night and not worry about driving far after. It was clean, peaceful, easy to find, and more amenities than listed. Thank you for a wonderful family staycation!
