Wow! Where to start. I know others have mentioned the gazebo but we really enjoyed the deck. Beautiful, secluded and so enjoyable and relaxing. Yvonne and I spent almost every dinner and evening on the deck enjoying wine and cheese. Neither one of us complained about the bed! Not sure that’s ever happened before. Robbie greeted us when we arrived and he was very friendly. Other than our pre travel questions we did not correspond much. For us the location was perfect, we’re traveling almost every day. I would highly recommend Robbie and Donna’s place for couples and maybe one other. Our time here was very memorable and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Mahalo!

Our stay on the Big Island was amazing! The house is spacious, filled with natural light, and perfect for relaxing. Mark was super easy to communicate with and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Chris is an amazing host and is very clear in his communication. House was exactly as described. Very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was stuffed with a lot of condiments and a lot of attention to details. Yard had many fruit bearing trees. A quick drive to nice beaches, restaurants, grocery stores etc. All in all we were very satisfied.

we spent a week in Matthew's place and would be happy to come back on a future trip. The house is large and full of good stuff - games, kitchen stuff, and more. The immediate surroundings are beautiful as is the view from the porch. Matthew is extremelya helpful and thoughtful. He really cared that we will enjoy our stay. Indeed a five star host. Ocean view is about 90 mins from Kona airport. I suggest not arriving at dark the first time - the area is dark and following the maps app we entered one driveway too early - backing up at darkness was scary. Make sure to follow Matthew's instructions and not just the app. The driveway to the house is not fully paved. However, after you see the way once at daylight it becomes easier. overall, we could use the place as a most comfortable place from which we could reach volcano national park several times and many beaches. it was good to be back to a cosy place at night. We would be happy to do this again!

Lucky to grab this location for a few days. Accommodations were great for three parties of folks. Especially great one couple could bring their dog. Unfortunately, we missed the volcano eruptions, which started the day we checked out for home. They seemed to have everything you might need and super cozy, including the reclining couch sections were comfortable enough to sleep in!!

I loved the peaceful and charming location and cottage. A very unique and quiet retreat that allowed my to explore the south side of the big island. I enjoyed the wrap-around lanai in the morning and evening, and all the thoughtful and quirky decor of the cottage. It was very quiet in the evening/night and I enjoyed the birdsong and morning roosters. The stargazing was also very much appreciated. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. It is exactly as described. I even got a bowl of freshly picked bananas one morning!! Very close to the southern-most tip of the USA and one of only four green sand beaches in the world (the beach is remote and requires a hike or some off-roading adventure). About a 45 minute drive to Volcano National Park too.

Sandra’s place was really really nice. It felt very much like home. It was super clean, cozy, decorated nicely, and had everything I needed. Sandra was also super kind, responded very quickly to any of my messages, and was very accommodating. I’ll def book her place again when in Kona.

We enjoyed Marisa’s condo. We found it to be the perfect quiet location and a good home base to explore the island. Home was clean and kitchen was super well stocked. Ample beach chairs and even sand toys which my daughter enjoyed. Clean pool and small gym was a plus. If you’re able-bodied, you can walk up the hill to the shopping center where there are restaurants and shops. Clover and Bug has great coffee, croffles, and a variation of shaved ice that we absolutely loved. Kenichi’s bento takeout is also great. A car is a must have if you want to explore the island.
