My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in March 2025 - absolutely loved it! So peaceful, great location, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Lovely quality bed, bedding and towels, big smart TV, modern kitchen and bathroom and the whole place is alot more spacious than the photos! Beautiful, thoughtful and very generous welcome gifts - fresh bread, fruit, choccys, milk … and a really well stocked pantry, kitchen and bathroom. Lisa was an excellent host and was always very responsive to any questions I had. The views from the living room, master bedroom and kitchen are absolutely stunning, and we loved having sunset drinks outside on the back deck, listening to the birds and having some of them visit us too! It’s an easy 5 minute drive to Terrigal or North Avoca beaches, you could walk but it’s very steep uphill on the way back. We highly recommend walking up to The Cowrie restaurant for dinner - it’s a short 5 minute walk and easy at night time too. Amazing restaurant- a must!

We had such a relaxing and comfortable stay! We stayed for one night as we had an event on the next day but we only wish we had stayed an extra night and made a weekend of it! The property is immaculate, everything is kept so clean, tidy and neat. Plenty of space, there was only 3 of us but perfect place for 4 people. Nice large living room, spacious kitchen. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Beautiful bathroom. The backyard was a great space, gardens are gorgeous, nice bbq to use and fully enclosed which was awesome as we had our doggo with us. Lynn has been super thoughtful, so many nice little touches with everything you could need and more for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Elizabeth & John’s place, It was so beautiful. The extra touches, apple pie/jams & breakfast were just delightful! There are local markets each Saturday at the community centre that we went to, and bought some lovely homemade food from the locals (Elizabeth included) Thank you for hosting us, we had a great time :)

Delightfully maintained and very peaceful little farm...the most beautiful surroundings...a lovely place to stay...

Absolute chilled after this weekend at Blackwood Lodge. Close to nature. Great location. Fantastic decor. Amazing amenities. Selection of wines was a +++. We ended up enjoying the home so much... that we didn't travel to far during the day. We met a brown snake in the garden, and loves the morning and evening kanga mob! We will be back [to explore the "actual"hunyer.... If we can get ourselves to leave "Blackwood lodge"].

The place looks just like the pictures but is made better with finishing touches and little extras we didn’t expect. The hosts were also some of the best I’ve had. They were so helpful and so relaxed. Note there is no kitchenette but the hosts take away and return the dishes each day from breakfast/ coffee / takeaway food. Everything was very clean and in good condition. The area is lovely and close to cafes and the bus and ferry. Overall this was a very high quality airbnb.

Brian was a great host, clear instructions before our stay and the house was well presented and very clean. Was an enjoyable stay.

Phou was an excellent host, with great communication skills and easily accessible through out our stay. The accommodation was centrally located to Newtown, and to our surprise the fridge was stocked with extra little touches. The accommodation was quiet and spacious. I would highly recommend this place of stay if you want to be centrally located. Walking distance to King st, the metro shopping center and public transport.

The property is very comfortable, and its design is gorgeous. Dini is so friendly and provides everything that may be needed thoughtfully. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Sydney.

Great spot, would recommend and would stay again. Conveniently located for exploring the local area (I had my car so cannot comment on public transport, but was very convenient to have use of driveway). Safe, quiet, spacious enough for a single person/couple and all the amenities you could possibly need are included. Lovely extra touches with the milk, chocolate, cereal and cold water in fridge etc.

What a great apartment! Exactly as the description with plenty of space. There was everything you could ever need in the kitchen, the bedrooms were well appointed and the bathrooms spotless. Victoria was proactive and very friendly in her communication. Would definitely recommend it.

had a great weekend stay at Peta and Graham's home. they both done really well maintaining and taking care of this airbnb to welcome their guests. the place is exactly what you see in the pictures or better (super duper clean and greatly styled interiors). host was very responsive and helpful! everything was well thought of (from stocking up our pantry, to creating a booklet of all the info we need about shops/things to do nearby) ! thanks for making us feel at home for a few days. place is also located near a hiking/walking trail which was a big bonus!!

Gail was a wonderful host and her place the perfect sanctuary for our little retreat in Stanwell Park. Gail provided so many thoughtful details to make our stay comfortable and memorable including the freshly baked bread in the mornings. Thanks Gail.

Enjoyed our brief stay. Very close to cafes, shops and restaurants as well as the beach. Wifi was excellent too as my husband relied on it to do some remote work. We found this apartment very comfortable. Thekla was a wonderful host and even made us a loaf of Artisan bread! Thank you!

Terry was a wonderful host, he was watering the garden when we arrived. We brought our two dogs with us and Terry grabbed them a water bowl after the long trip. The unit was easy to fund and well signed. We loved the personalised sign near the door welcoming us. The unit was the perfect size for us and had everything we needed. We were within walking distance of the beach and a few cafes. The local restaurants and vistas were excellent, we would definitely stay again. Thank you so much Terry, Kiara & Josh

Guy is charming and was incredibly helpful throughout . My daughter and I stayed for 2 lovely nights. The property is really cute, extremely well equipped, clean, characterful and very peaceful, yet within walking distance of good local amenities and not too far from the beaches and harbour area. As UK visitors we found Avalon beautiful. There's a wonderful information guide on things to do, places to eat, walks etc. and Guy was on hand to help with any and all our needs. We had a fabulous stay and I would encourage anyone considering this property to just book. You won't be disappointed

glad we found this gem. great location, close to the lake, pub, beach etc … plenty of privacy at the same time. we really loved the stylish interior & cool decor, the serene garden is a peaceful retreat as well. Brad’s local knowledge and hospitality made our stay even more amazing. will be back.

Our nearly one-month long stay at this AirBnB was an exceptional experience. From the seamless check-in to the incredibly responsive and attentive hosts, everything exceeded our expectations. Neil and Jane were perfect hosts. Super friendly and down to earth. They were there when you needed them and quick to respond to any needs.
