I spent a long weekend at Simon and Belinda’s place in Chapel Stile. They were abroad during my stay, but this didn’t matter - their communication was excellent and the place was superb, with lots of local recommendations. Thanks, would certainly stay again.

Third time we’ve stayed at High Biggin with wider family. This time a commitment ceremony. Paul went well beyond the call of duty meeting us months beforehand so we could visit to work out exactly how and in what spaces to make it happen. Everything went perfectly. As we’d planned HB was a great place for us all to relax and enjoy ourselves. The mid-March weather was unexpectedly glorious. Even got to try out the new hot tub! Hope to be back next year.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a cosy getaway from the world break. Doorstep dog walks a plenty. We used the cottage as a base to explore various parts of the Lake District, we loved coming back to the hot tub and the log burner.

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

Excellent hosts home made cake lovely welcome pack was very nice touch even put candles on the cake and decorated for my birthday very helpful with local places to visit and eat rose barn was immaculate we felt right at home don’t essitate to book it’s stunning stay thankyou again

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at High Swinside. Diana was an amazing host and went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her cottages.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They even provided local recommendations that made our trip unforgettable! The location was perfect—close to everything, yet peaceful and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the little extras (like fresh coffee and cozy blankets) made it feel like a luxury getaway. Another amazing stay at Lynn’s beautiful farm! This is our fourth time staying here and each time we have felt right at home. Lynn is the most amazing host; always on hand for advice, recommendations and a friendly conversation, along with providing excellent little touches like fresh eggs, local biscuits, and letting our little boy feed the goats and sheep in the morning which became our daily routine during the stay! Her property is equipped with everything to make your stay effortless. The cottage and the surrounding areas are so peaceful, so if you are looking for an escape to the tranquil countryside then this is the place! We as a family cannot recommend here highly enough for a break in the Lake District.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Amanda was a fantastic host, taking the time and effort to make sure we had all the right information for the local area in Settle - the recommendations came in very handy! The cottage itself was lovely and we felt right at home in the heart of Settle!

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

We had a great 2 night stay at the cottage. Really nice inside and comfortable beds. The village is really quiet and nice walks close by, with a local pub which was highly entertaining with the locals full of chat. Would highly recommend a stay here

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

Joan was such a wonderful host! The house was spotless and cozy, and she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She even kept the fire going while we were out, which made coming back feel warm and welcoming. On top of that, she gave us fantastic recommendations for local spots to visit—we ended up seeing some great places we wouldn't have known about otherwise. Highly recommend staying here!

Wow! 4 of us stayed here this weekend, and it was amazing, the photos don’t do the room size justice, the log burner was a great touch and so lovely for young adults to sit down and enjoy it. Walkable from every shop and easy walks near by. Great communication. Couldn’t fault our stay.

Perfect accommodation for a lovely 2 night break. Beautiful scenic location. Traditional homely countryside cottage. Pub next door served excellent, quality food. Definitely recommend this place for a stay!
