The mill was a perfect place for us. We love history and the setting was beautiful. For such an old structure we found it to be warm,cozy, beautiful and very comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows were wonderful. We enjoyed taking our E bikes out even at 43*! Very scenic and little to no traffic on the road. Such a gem! Many thanks to the hosts for creating a lovely getaway and sharing it with the rest of us!

Katie's place is clean, well-organized, well-appointed, spacious and comfortable. It is also in a great location. Great ambiance, nice outdoor spaces, plenty of everything you need for your stay, from towels to dishes to cozy blankets, snacks, etc. Also, good lighting indoors and out. I would love to stay at Katie's place again!

We had an excellent experience staying at Glenna’s historic home. It has been lovingly taken care of and furnished, everything was as expected or better. She also provided a pack’n’ play for our little one, which made traveling that much easier. We would definitely stay here again! ❤️

This was a great place to stay, private and cozy. Within walking distance from all shops in downtown. Right next to the Farmer's market. Easy walk to Dogtown. Parking is a bit annoying, you do have to walk your luggage in but other than that it's a great place to stay. The host were proactive with communication and accommodating. We will be back! Located in a beautiful town of very nice folks!

Thalya was a wonderful host! This wasn’t a planned trip as we were attending a funeral. The owner was prompt with her responsiveness. The home was clean & comfortable for the 4 of us. The peaceful neighborhood was nice and I even went for a walk, alone. Thank you, Thalya!

We had a great stay at Vicki’s place. The listing was very accurate and the home had everything we needed during our stay. Vicki was very quick to answer our questions before arriving and we had no troubles during our stay. The location was convenient to food and major roadways to get around. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at cottage for work but from the first moment I stepped inside door I felt at home. Place was immaculate and I felt safe. Beautiful deck out back and sweet front porch. Minutes from any fast food you want. Check in was quick and easy. I would give my most high recommendation to stay here. Tess and Nathan amazing host.

We immediately felt right at home. Since we had small children the downstairs space was great. Other family members in the upstairs also felt comfortable. For family gatherings this place is perfect.

We stayed at this Airbnb because we were in town to gather family from other areas to celebrate Christmas with our elderly mother. The place was simply lovely and possessed elegance from times past. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and there were many thoughtful touches. The whole family agreed that it was very special and we hope to return again.

Sandra's home was perfect for us. Clean, safe and comfy beds. Beautiful country area. Right around the corner from Martinsville speedway. It made me want to move there. We'll be back.

The location was great. A coworker and I were staying in town for work from Indiana and were in a crappy motel prior but the home was incredibly well kept and the internet was great. She was a little slow on confirming our stay which made us nervous but was pretty direct and responsive after that. Very clean, comfortable, and private. It was a great place to relax after work, play games, and cook dinner which doesn’t happen too often on the road. Their beds had me reconsidering my choice in bed at home, very comfortable and clean. Haha. Location is incredibly close to a Walmart and other stores/restaurants while still being in a somewhat quiet neighborhood. Really the main negative is that the house is on a SUPER steep hill so it’s a little awkward getting there for the first time. overall, great experience, solid host. We’ll be sure to tell our other coworkers in the area about your place if they need an extended stay. Thanks again!

We loved staying here! The unit is small but decorated very nice and has all amenities you would need for a weekend away. Check in was easy with clear instructions provided the day before. We had no trouble operating the lock box or using the pin pad to enter the building. The unit was also very clean! The bed is so comfortable that we slept great both nights. We appreciated that Leslie left water and snacks available since we had forgotten to pack any in our rush to leave on the day of our trip. The beach and pergola near the water were nice to sit at in the evening. Although the on site restaurant was a bit pricy, the food was totally worth it. It was the best steak we had in a while! This unit met all of our expectations and we would definitely like to stay here again if we take another trip to SML.

Perfect spot within walking distance to Napolis and Bernard’s landing event venue. Beautiful view from the living room and balcony. Everything was clean and the condo smelt fantastic. I do wish there were more blankets/linens for the bed. It was a wonderful stay, thank you Tracy for welcoming us into your home.

This was our first time staying in an Airbnb and the first time we visited SML. Our experience was great from our initial inquiry regarding boat launching, docking, and trailer storage at check-in to our departure 5 days later. Armand obtained the info and map links from the security office that we needed to launch the boat and store the trailer. which made it easy once we arrived. The view from the condo is beautiful any time of the day, but the view of the sunrise across the lake behind the mountain is absolutely stunning. We were very comfortable and felt at home during our stay. If you have a boat, bring it, you can’t beat waking down to the dock on this water playground with marinas, restaurants, beaches, and shops to visit. We’re looking forward to returning in the Spring.

Allison was very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is well kept well decorated and comfortable for our stay. Mariners point and her rental allows access to lots of social and sport activities making the stay that much more enjoyable. Access to 12 pickleball courts large workout facilities and indoor/outdoor pools.

We have stayed at Kathleen’s condo numerous times, and it is always perfect! The kitchen and bathroom are well-stocked, the bedding is comfortable, and the whole condo feels like home away from home. Kathleen is an attentive and friendly host. We look forward to going back!

Five times in and Matt/Krista’s place is a little slice of heaven. This gem at Smith Mountain Lake isn’t the biggest out there, but it’s ideal to get away for few days to rest and recuperate. The view is simply to die for and the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back a 6th time!

Convenient, comfortable and great view. Chris was helpful, flexible, and very responsive. Visited during an epic cold spell and missed the full potential of the lake access which I would live to enjoy next time

Great stay. Cute condo right above restaurant and store. Brought my SUP and used it a lot. Lots to do at Mariner’s landing. Great food and service at The Landing, Bruno’s and Bottles and Bites. State Park 7 minutes away is excellent for hiking. Lots of friendly neighbors! We’re ready to go back!!
