Had a fantastic stay, cabin was beautiful, well equipped, furnished beautifully, setting superb peaceful and of course the welcoming hot tub. Julie was great as a host making sure instructions and directions were clear and on hand if anything required. Lovely welcome hamper and did not hesitate to provide a late checkout for us which was much appreciated. Would happily return again when in area.

We had a great stay at the Oak Cabin! Everything we needed was within easy distance and the place was really well stocked with all the necessities. The hosts were super helpful and gave clear directions to help us out. We are already planning our next trip back!

Brilliant stay! Ivan's place was spotless, peaceful and the perfect place to explore the Forest of Dean. As a family of 5 with 3 energenic boys this was just perfect! Ivan supplied plenty of wood for our stay and was extremely helpful with storing our bikes and helping with queries about the local area! Would highly recommend and we will be returning for sure!

A lovely stay at Cynefin Retreats! The place itself was clean, modern and cosy! With the hot tub and firepit for those added holiday extras. Good location for exploring the surrounding towns and lots of nearby walks. Would definitely stay again! Thank you Lorna!

We had a wonderful stay at The Nook and wished we’d booked an extra day! The secure garden was perfect for our dog, allowing me to fully relax in the outdoor tub. Check out flexibility was much appreciated. A fantastic trip - we’d love to return!

What a beautiful, serene cabin to match the stunning views! Hotub under the stars at night was fantastic, the horse in the field next to the cabin was a welcome visitor every morning, safe enclosed space for the little dog to run around whilst we were in the hotub and garden. Great recommendation to walk to yew tree inn for pizzas via the farm and lake. Lovely walks through the farmland with the dog, super peaceful. Lamb shank was spectacular at the white lion. Honestly cannot thank Alastair enough, great host very friendly and communicative. Wish I could give 6 stars will be coming back!

A compact cabin in a perfect location, with lovely surroundings, good for dogs and all that you need for your stay.

Wow what a beautiful place this is!! Such a relaxing and peaceful break away. Cabin was so clean and well equipped and a huge garden which was absolutely out of this world!!! All secure and fenced off so our dog could run around safely. There is a beautiful private lake in the grounds with access to your own rowing boat- we can’t wait to book again! Simon was a brilliant host and very friendly and helpful and was on hand if we needed anything. Thank you Simon we will definitely be booking again in the next few weeks 😃. One of the best places we have stayed by far!! 🐾

Absolutely incredible cabin! The host Marie is lovely and exceptionally welcoming. This place is truly beyond words. The views are absolutely breathtaking. I’m writing this at 6:30 in the morning, sitting in the hot tub, watching the sky turn shades of pink as the sun rises behind me. The sunsets are equally stunning. It’s so peaceful and quiet here, and the lodge is simply perfect. The dogs have had the most wonderful time, and this escape has been exactly what we needed. Everything about this place is just exquisite. I only wish I could stay here forever.

Absolutely gorgeous cabin, and lovely that it was offgrid. Plenty of wildlife running around, could hear owls and foxes all night. We went in the middle of winter so some parts were a bit unusable, but this didn’t take away from our experience. Would love to go back in the summer. Stunning little getaway and beautiful walks and forests all around. Tim was lovely too, and gave us a bottle of Prosecco for New Year’s Eve. Would highly reccomend!

Great spot. Really simple check in and check out process. Pod was great - exactly as advertised. Private, fields and land around them to walk the dog. Would recommend.

What a beautiful stay! The decor is absolutely stunning, I was walking around taking it all in wishing my home was the same. Luke was so helpful from the start, great communication and very helpful about the local area, we loved his recommendation for the fresh milkshakes! Gorgeous views over the water, we also enjoyed walking up to see the horses. Would love to come again in the summer months!

What can I say, from the moment we walked in we felt at home. It was the perfect long weekend with really friendly hosts and even a lovely bit of cake provided which was soon devoured. It was lovely and secure for the dog and sitting on the veranda in the sun looking at the animals was amazing. We will definitely return for hopefully a longer stay next time 😁

The cabin made for a peaceful getaway and had everything we needed. Sue was really helpful and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. There are some great scenic walks right on the doorstep and only a 30 min drive to Hay On Wye. The pub next door serves delicious food and the garden is a great spot to sit and enjoy the incredible views. We couldn't fault it, thank you!

We had a wonderful bank holiday stay at Squirrel Lane Lodges! We have good friends living locally but it was our first trip to the area with our three children (8, 6 and 10 months). The Lodge was perfect for us, plenty of space and Sally had provided a cot for the baby which was brilliant. The outside space was really lovely, lots of garden space for the kids to race around and they absolutely LOVED visiting the horses every day and looking out for rabbits in the garden. It couldn't have been better- check in was easy after a long afternoon on the road from London and we had everything we needed in a peaceful spot while we spent time with friends visiting the castle and paddling inthe river. Would love to return again now that we've made the trip once, and would definitely recommend this property. Only wish we'd had longer!

Really enjoyed our stay. Bridget was very knowledgeable about the local area with excellent recommendations. The hut was spotless and had all the all the essential amenities we needed.

We had a really nice time at Trewern this Christmas time. The space is more bigger than we expected and really clean, tidy and new. The kitchen is amazing and all equipped. The bathroons is really clean. The area around is beautiful and the mountains close there is stunning view. I highly recommend it. Regiane Souza
