Just wow! Mark made us feel so welcome and both huts were absolutely incredible. From the fairy lights to the wood stove; the welcome bottle of wine, biscuits and great coffee this far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended and we look forward to our next stay.

A truly beautiful cabin set in peaceful surroundings. The cabin has everything you need. I stayed for a wedding locally and it was the perfect location and provided everything I needed. Would highly recommend and would love to go back to explore the hikes around the area. Carol and George are wonderful hosts and very helpful.

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

Such a great place to stay!! Joey was a great host, very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Check in was fab as it was flexible as we didn’t arrive until 10pm ish. The cabin and hot tub were both spotless. Had everything we needed! Would definitely come back!

Emily’s place was an ideal getaway, secluded, clean, peaceful the perfect place to unwind for a few days, the hot tub made it extra special, all communication with Emily was excellent, would definitely recommend, will definitely be returning, thank you Emily.

AMAZING stay in a nearby paradise. Everything you need to connect back to nature. Cosy and beautiful - would have stayed there forever if we could have!

A little slice of heaven. The peaceful, tranquil and humble nature of the carriage is like a warm hug and makes life feel beautifully simple. Everything is thought of here by Graham and Pip from the games provided and the tea, coffee and sugar pots being lovely and full to the welcoming loaf of home made bread and a daily log delivery, also the fire being lit when we arrived was a gorgeous feeling. We had the most relaxing stay here and got to fully switch off spending hours just lazing around watching the sheep, chickens and cows mooch about their fields , there is WiFi here to stay intouch in with outside world but this charming spot is a perfect place to whittle away the hours playing cards, eating cheese and drinking wine. We had a lovely circular walk by the local canal and a lovely meal and the Lamb and Flag - the sherry trifle cheese cake is something I may never stop thinking about! Star gazing here from bed is divine!! 10/10 reccomend. Thankyou

Gary and Kate were fantastic hosts, with excellent communication and great generosity. They went above and beyond by providing Welsh cakes, cider cake, ciders in the fridge, condiments, tea bags, milk, bread, and butter. Their accommodation is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need, including a microwave, toaster, kettle, air fryer, a firepit for roasting marshmallows and dressing gowns for the short walk from the hut to the annex toilet. They've even included a radio, CD player and portable speaker, as well as a Dyson fan heater to keep the hut warm. Despite the hut being close to their house, it feels wonderfully secluded in it's own private space, offering a lovely view of the orchard and grazing sheep. The local pub, just a short walk away, had a great atmosphere, with plenty of local ciders to try and delicious pizzas. It's a popular spot, so I'd recommend booking a table in advance. Overall, a great stay in a charming Shepard's hut, set in a peaceful village.

Lovely shepherd's hut in a beautiful location. Every little detail had been thought about in the space and Rita and David clearly take pride in hosting. Despite it being February, the hut was nice and cosy and warm and it was such a lovely touch that they provide guest slippers for when the floor can be cold! The shower was a dream after a cold afternoon hiking. The Royal Oak pub was a couple of minutes walk from the pub with an inviting fire and friendly staff. We did a lovely walk on the Offa's Dyke path and Hergest Ridge, which were very easy to get to from the hut. We would cerainly recommend staying here if you want to explore the local area and we're sure it would be lovely to sit outside in the summer months admiring the view and listening to the stream! Thanks for a great stay!

Such a peaceful and beautiful location! Mary-Anne was great at responding, helpful, and friendly. Winding down in the jacuzzi and sauna was such a special touch to a little getaway. Ruby the dog is the perfect little added bonus too! She really does have a tennis ball addiction 😆 Would 100% recommend this place to everyone and we can’t wait to stay again in the future!

We had an amazing stay at Louise's place. it was so peaceful in lovely surroundings. We just wanted to relax for a few days without doing a great deal and it was an ideal place to do exactly that. The guide to the local area and amenities was especially helpful. slightly disappointed with the... weather! but only to be expected in the UK! still managed a dip in the pool which was superb!, tried a game of tennis and enjoyed the hottub. it really was a lovely stay, waking up to the ponies and wildlife was amazing too! would highly recommend Louise as a host

Helen and Chris’ Shepard’s Hut is the perfect stay if you’re looking for a peaceful spot with beautiful surroundings. The hut was well equipped with all the basics you could need (including milk), but make sure to bring your own body wash etc. We really appreciated that check in was fairly flexible and we were allowed to check in early. Helen and Chris also went the extra mile and decorated for my boyfriend’s birthday which was so kind of them (thank you again!). The bed was very comfy and the place was spotless. I’d absolutely return again and would recommend this place highly!!

I couldn't recommend Mark and Teresa's shepherd's hut enough! The stay was lovely, far exceeding any Airbnb experience I've ever had in the 11 years of using it. Mark and Teresa were extremely kind and welcoming and put pure love into building their accommodation and making you feel welcome. I will for sure be back and fully confident everyone will feel the same.

Lovely place, super cozy with a fully fitted kitchen as described! It was lovely for us two Londoners to wake up to the sound of sheep!

The Shepherd's Hut has everything you need for luxury camping! Lovely interior with dreamy touches such as sash windows, high-quality bedding, and enamelware. Well designed and clear handbook, and friendly and helpful hosts. We camped in style, cooked outdoors on the butane camping stove, provided, and roasted marshmallows (also provided) at night over the fire pit . It was also classy touch having your own WC and shower allotted to Shepherd's Hut. Fantastic location, 5 minute shuffle to a gravel beach on the banks of the River Wye, great for canoeists or just lazing around watching the swans.

We absolutely loved our stay at Nick and Sarah's place - our two favourite types of weekend away are walking weekends with the dog and spa weekends - Nick and Sarah's place managed both! The outdoor bath and wood fired sauna were just wonderful - and just what we needed after a day of walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Nick has lots of info available about the area and places to walk, the space was very private with a gorgeous view. We will definitely be back to visit again - this place was fabulous despite the January wet and mud, I can't wait to see how lovely it is when it's warm and dry! 100% recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cathy's place and I would highly recommend going to stay. Cathy and her family are extremely helpful and it's been a pleasure meeting you all. Thank you for a lovely stay, the girls enjoyed playing basketball and working out at the gym. River our little cockerpoo had alot of fun running around and we all enjoyed our evening BBQ with the added bonus of a little fire pit to toast our marshmallows. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality x

Wow...just WOW! This place is a little slice of heaven. Amazing location. So peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. Super comfy and cozy. Sian and Jack are just the best hosts. They gave us everything we needed to make out stay ideal. Friendly, welcoming and informative re all the bits and bobs in the local area. Make sure you do the Bryn Arw and Sugar Loaf circular and stop at the Crown for a well earned pint or too.

We had a wonderful stay and even stayed an additional night as we enjoyed it so much. The attention to detail in the huts were fabulous. The shower was lovely. So much detail in the welcome book. Really well equipped kitchen to cook over wood fire. Such a comfortable bed and the field and Pip the pig were wonderful. Our dog had a ball exploring the field! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Helen

Lovely, well equipped huts in a tranquil location. Easy access to Hereford, local pretty villages and pretty close to the Welsh border too. Very nice for a weekend or longer
