We enjoyed this home very much. My sister is in an assisted living facility in Herkimer, NY so this home was convenient to visit her over the holidays.

Really nice place. We will definitely stay there again next year.

what an amazing Airbnb, but where do I start? Darrick made getting getting and parking at his place a breeze. I was blown away to be greated with a fresh and homemade loaf of delicious sour dough bread. We loved the spacious living spaces to hangout and play games in. The main bathroom super clean and we loved the high end bidet. We had a great time making a little winter fire pit and enjoyed every moment we spent at derricks. Thanks again!

The house was exactly what is pictured. We have been here a few times and each time we were not disappointed. Could use a couple full size mirrors but other than that the place was immaculate and Cindy is very responsive and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great host and beautiful place to stay! Everything was very organized and clean. Close to town and easily walkable distance to main strip of Old Forge. Was even greeted by some deer every morning! Would love to come back during summer to enjoy the fire pit and river in the backyard.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It’s in a perfect location for us to stay so we can snowmobile straight from the house to all the trails we like to ride. It’s also close to our favorite spots to shop and eat. There is lots of room for a family of 4 and all our gear. We bring a clothing rack for our snowmobile suits since they take up so much space and there isn’t a closet to put it all. It works perfectly. Great comfy furniture with a spot for everyone to sit and watch tv. Snow service came right away and plowed and shoveled everything since we had 5 inches of snow during the night. Plenty of space to park our truck and snowmobile trailer in the back plus another spot out front. Thanks for having us again. We had a great time! Looking forward to our next visit!

We have been renting Tobia’s house for several years. We have been snowmobiling in the area for over 40 years. We started out down the block at the Glenmore in 1984 and prefer the Big Moose Lake area over all others. Toni’s house is very comfortable and warm. See you next year!

Everything is just as pictured - and so much more once you check in! The end of the season did not disappoint - the waters were calm in the morning for a canoe paddle; the loons visited and were a joy to listen to; the weather was perfect for a campfire and the views were spectacular. The house is stocked with high-end amenities, everything you'd want to find and a few that you didn't even know you needed! Looking forward to returning next summer!

Jaynee and her family made us feel right at home. Our stay was super relaxing and enjoyable. The property had gorgeous views and the kids loved the cows. The space had all the necessary amenities and was very clean. Dan took our family on a ride through the property to see the wild life and views. I would highly recommend this place. We will be back !

Very nice, reasonably spacious apartment taking up the entire second floor of a house, with a separate entrance. Obviously rehabbed sometime recently. As the listing and comments say, the stairs going up are solid, but have a pretty narrow tread, so you have to be careful. The water, especially the hot water in the bathroom, has a distinct sulfurous odor, but seems to be fine for washing/showering. (Susan left us some large bottles of fresh water in the fridge for drinking. ) There is no air conditioning, but there are a couple of fans. The apartment can get pretty hot midday/afternoon in the heat of summer (probably mid to late July/early August), so if you'll be there at that time and will be spending the daytime in your room, you might want to consider someplace else with air conditioning. But even then, nights usually cool down. Floors are a little uneven. Very short ride to Glimmerglass opera nearby. A short walk to the marvelous Sunflower Cafe for breakfast or lunch.

Elise was always helpful and responsive. Riding snowmobile for the first time in Old Forge was great and finding the trail from this location was a breeze. The apartment was perfect for what I wanted; clean, new, private, even tall ceilings for a very open feel. So glad I chose this place over a motel.

Absolutely love our stay! We had the lower level of a charming home. Spacious rooms, living, kitchen, dining, bathroom and bedroom. Renee is an amazing host and we hope to return again.

The place was well maintained and the hot tub was what made the location for us. We had a pretty crazy snow storm but the snow removal was great. Friendly communication as well when we made a mistake with the heating.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful, and Salvatore is a phenomenal host! We had a fantastic trip! The cabin is even cuter than the photos and we can’t wait to come back.

Jon had a wonderful little place on the water. The surrounding places that he rents out looked just as beautiful. The Boathouse we stayed in was very fun and had amazing views of the lake. Our son had a great time sitting on the dock and looking out the windows at the birds and the lake. We appreciated the comfort the Boathouse offered as well as the room and the warmth. The kitchen small but effective was nice to work in and he has several things to use for your cooking needs.

We came to Mark & Patti’s cabin for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It was nothing short of amazing! It was accessible in the winter (plowed roads/driveway), had everything we needed for a comfortable winter stay. We couldn’t use the porch due to snow/ice, but that’s completely understandable in the wintertime conditions in the ADK. Access to internet/TV, and games made it fun. We wanted to be close to the ADK park and wild areas to explore, and this location provided the perfect locale to access trails and recreation. Also, the towns of Speculator and Wells have plenty of local shops and places to go in town. We visited Wilcox Lake Wild Forest to go snowshoeing, and there’s plenty more locations to visit to fish or hike. Mark & Patti made sure we couldn’t want for anything during our stay, were responsive and helpful, and were truly wonderful hosts. We hope to visit again in the future so we can kayak and enjoy the Floe during warmer months. :)

I've stayed at a couple dozen AirBnB's over the years, but this most recent one, Jacqui's place on Spruce Lake, goes right to the top of my list of best AirBnB experiences. It has an amazing location, is wonderfully designed and decorated, pristinely clean and functional, but most of all, it has an indefinably cozy and peaceful vibe. A lovely retreat from the world, and a great place to hang out in front of a roaring fire ( it has a truly magnificent fireplace) with loved ones.

Our stay at Tiffany and Adam's cabin was the perfect destination for an anniversary weekend celebration! Tiffany was communicative, detail oriented and so sweet! We loved the serenity of the TR property, the white noise of the babbling creek and the cozy amenities of the cabin. Renting the sxs was a blast and was a great way to explore local trails as a family. An added bonus was having the flexibility to include our dog on vacation. We can't wait to return next year!!

We had a great weekend! Snowmobile trails right from the cabin and a great bar/restaurant 50yds away. We packed light for a spur of the moment trip but had everything we needed when we got there. We will definitely be coming back!! :)

It was perfect. Such a beautiful place. The stars were amazing. Stephanie was so kind and showed us around. I am so grateful for her generosity to share her place with us. We will definitely be back.

This house is the perfect location for a snowmobile weekend. The road is located directly on the trail system. The hot tub was clean and fully functioning which was perfect after a full day of riding. The bed was comfortable, the house was warm and the fire stove was a nice touch to make the home feel cozy. There is conveniently wood located in a shed outside for your use by sending the host payment electronically, which is easier than having to buy it from a gas station. You’re about a 5 min drive from the Main Street where Slicker’s, Ozzie’s and the welcome center are located (among numerous other great places) This is the perfect spot for hikers, bikers and lake goers as well!
