The house is easy to reach and in a quiete area. We appreciated a lot to find a Christmas atmosphere with a tree and lights everywhere. The adorable cat Kavka gave us a perfect welcome and shared our time inside, a time spent in the only rainy day watching tv and enjoying the comforts of a real home. It was a pleasure to come back after exciting experiences in town, finding the relax of a well organized house. Not to mention the surprise of a fireworks show on new year’ s eve from the garden! A memorable stay!

Our stay at this amazing piece of architecture and home was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the thoughtful layout and impressive design. The space was vast and beautifully appointed, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The huge windows were a particular highlight, flooding the house with natural light and providing stunning views. Our daughter spent hours gazing out of them! The garden was another major plus, a true haven for our dog who had the time of his life. A special mention must go to Ester, the owners' friendly dog, who became a wonderful playmate. This house truly felt like a luxurious retreat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a stylish, spacious, and pet-friendly getaway. Peter and Isabel were fabulous gost and nothing was too much trouble. The house was exactly as I expected it and value for money. As it was winter, the house was warm and comforting!

Ed’s place was a perfect home away from home whilst visiting family for Christmas. Ed is the perfect host and goes way and beyond to make you feel welcome. Brilliant communication and lovely touches including gifts, provisions in the fridge and a decorated Christmas tree were so thoughtful and very much appreciated. The house is well located for central St Albans, warm and cosy and provides everything you could possibly need for a family stay. Highly recommend and will definitely return when next we visit from Australia 🙌

Couldn't recommend a stay at Ruth's accomodation more!! I stayed for a weekend as I was attending a concert at Ally Pally; which is within a short walking distance. As soon as I entered the house, Ruth was very welcoming and showed me around the kitchen and my room. There was snacks and coffee I could help myself to in the kitchen if needed. The space was nicely layed out for me, with soap, shampoo, towels and everything needed for my stay. The room was just as described, with a large bed, fridge, kettle and bathroom. Many reviews do mention the nearby train track, the noise didn't personally bother me but it may do others. Very lovely stay and Ruth's daughter even offered to make me breakfast! Thank you for my wonderful and welcoming stay Ruth, I will definitely be returning for Alexandra Palace gigs :)

Exactly what we needed in a great area for local event we attended. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Speaker in the ceiling is a great feature. Caroline was very responsive and helpful, with clear concise instructions. Can’t fault it :)

Our stay with Paul was exceptional from start to finish. Paul gave us such a warm welcome and tour of the property. The place was laid out and designed brilliant and Paul has thought of everything from muffin's and prosecco to the hair straighteners You can tell Paul takes a lot of pride in hosting and the stay was absolutely perfect in a beautiful set with beautiful surroundings Very very good value for money..I would expect to pay alot more for what we had We will definitely be back very soon

Ben and Frances were wonderful hosts, and the accommodation was absolutely fantastic. The setting was stunning and the accommodation was immaculate. Ben and Frances were both so friendly, welcoming, and understanding and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed our stay at Brenda’s place and felt right at home from the start. The house was easy to find and very accessible via transport. Brenda’s instructions for the house and guide to nearby amenities were clear. While my daughter and her friend were participating in an activity locally (only 5 mins walk from Brenda’s which was great, no transport required!), my wife and I stayed in the house. We had no issues with laptop set-up and remote access. In the evenings, we went into the centre of London. The tube station (which we used mainly) was 10 mins walk from Brenda’s and buses were even closer. Brenda’s main room opens up to a wonderful back garden and it was lovely to take a stroll around it after work! Overall, we have no hesitation in recommending Brenda’s place and will be contacting her again if we are in the vicinity!

Evelina was the perfect host. I’m so impressed - and it looked just like the pictures! Her place was charming, super clean and very well organised. She had lots of recommendations, was friendly and happy to help. It was the perfect stay in London and wish I could have stayed longer! I highly recommend Evelina and her place to all who want to be in a beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean space. I really found a gem in London & would definitely come back!!

Nestled in a peaceful setting, it’s the ideal escape for nature lovers who still want a touch of luxury. Would I stay again? Absolutely—this place is buzzing with charm!

This was my second stay at Christine & Mark’s gorgeous lodge. I was attending a course locally and it was blissful to come back to this cosy and comfortable retreat. I arrived late and Christine & Mark had taken the trouble to make sure the Lodge was warm and well-lit for my arrival. Everything I needed was close by but the log burner, comfy sofa and bed meant it was hard to leave! Highly recommend.

Our second time staying here and still as amazing as the first time. Wonderful accommodation and load of grounds to explore. The indoor swim centre is so relaxing and the room itself is great. Victoria and Daniel are very welcoming and happy to answer any questions. Hopefully see you again in the summer and make use of the outdoor pool!

A simple, bright, spacious and immaculately clean studio in a peaceful setting. The village is quaint with many quiet walks and easy access to Cambridge and Saffron Walden. Elmdon also offers an opportunity to see great examples of the regions vernacular architecture, including thatched roofs, decorative pargeting, flintwork and timber framing. It's evident that hosting means more to Fiona than just money. It was a warming experience and we certainly hope to stay here again when we're back in the area.

It's exactly as the pictures are - lovely and quiet. Will was a really good host, very responsive and was super helpful when setting up the hot tub etc. The Airbnb is really well located for what we wanted, we spent the day at Bletchley Park which was great. If you're staying for more than a couple of nights and have the capacity to I would pack some extra pillows and cushions. The bed is pretty good considering that it's the table too. The perfect place for a short stay away!
