Location matched well the photos and description. Very affordable place to stay for a family or group of friends. Location is conveniently between the volcano and Hilo and feels very safe. It is remote from shops and restaurants, but great place to stop if you are looking to explore the wet side of the big island. We enjoyed the robust sounds of the nature (lots of frogs and birds), but if you are a light sleeper it might be noisy for you. There is a distant freeway that you can hear as well as some occasional dogs barking. But in general not a lot of people or noice around. Me and my parents would stay again. Thank you!

Everything was clean and organized in this place. Actually turned out to be more spacious that we thought. While the place is clean, people staying should expect to sweep once a day simply because of the location and if you like to have the windows open as we did. Again, not a complaint or reflection on the host, simply what is needed in the country area! Our stay was perfect. Oksana was always east to get ahold of and always accommodating. Kitchen was great, beds are nice and washer/dryer setup is quite new! We definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Hawaii, experience her beauty and enjoy sleeping quietly outside of "tourist" hustle and bustle. Lastly, the stars are absolutely stunning as well as the moon over the ocean!

This place is a gem when visiting Volcanoes national park. Totally quite at night and gorgouse by day. About 23 min to the park. Super cute and totally what we love about tiny houses in Hawaii.

Roby and his wife were wonderful, welcoming and friendly! Very lovely hosts. We loved their dog Ike as well. The place was cute, quiet, and clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable! We also loved the natural “white noise” of frogs and birds.

We loved our stay here. Sharon and Mark are so friendly. Sharon took me on a tour of her property and recommended things in the area. She let us know when the volcano started erupting and even found us binoculars! The studio is located in the perfect spot. Close to downtown Hilo but set in the rainforest away from everything. We enjoyed being lulled to sleep by the frogs, birds, and rain every evening. I would definitely stay here again!

David and Kevin's guest house was amazing! Perfect size for 2 people to comfortably enjoy. Spending time on the lanai drinking a morning coffee or eating a meal while enjoying the landscape is something you don't want to miss. David and Kevin are awesome hosts, anything we needed was either in the guesthouse or they had it to share. Thank you David and Kevin for your hospitality!

I've stayed at Carol's place at least 5 times, and it never disappoints. If you're going to the Big Island, want to get away from the stale resort experience, and are looking for something unique, this is the place for you. Great price and great experience.

Great little place to explore the Volcano, Pahoa and Hilo areas. Adorable little yard with a small, but very well stocked home. It had everything we needed and was very peaceful. Definitely recommend Theresa’s Ohana!

We had a wonderful time staying at Beverly’s guest house! Beverly and Gerry are great hosts. We loved visits from their friendly dogs, Zack and Tibbey, walking down to see the goats, chickens and cow and just exploring their 44 acres. The personal touches of fresh eggs, pancake fixings, snacks and chocolates were so thoughtful. Being able to pick lemons and oranges was also a plus! Surrounded by natural beauty of the property, views of the ocean and Mauna Kea made it truly feel like paradise!! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Thank you Beverly and Gerry for a marvelous week and can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

Best AirBnB we’ve stayed at! Syd’s place is a great spot, lovely scenery, and plenty of amenities.

My stay was magical - exactly what I was looking for. Her place is simply an amazing location - a very undeveloped area in a rainforest right on the ocean. The sleeping accommodations were wonderful, and the kitchen had everything that I needed for my stay. I spent 11 memorable nights there. It was a definitely a "glamping" type experience - perfect if you are looking for a quiet, reflection-filled nature immersion experience or retreat.

This little cottage is a GEM!! It’s about a 10 min drive to Hilo, less than a half hour to Volcano National Park. It’s private, quiet and so peaceful! Check-in was easy, and Prakasit’s father so sweet! My daughter left her computer charger behind. Prakasit let us know before we even realized it and his dad hung on to it for us until we swung back that way a week later and grabbed it. Wonderful stay, great memories! BONUS: lots of goodies provided like seasonings, condiments, COFFEE, etc. Thanks Prakasit!

The place is even better than it appears on the listing. It’s well appointed, it’s in a handy location close to town. The private outdoor shower is lovely.

Jordan was a great host! We felt welcome from the moment we checked in. He was always responsive and helpful.

We had a wonderful time at Cynthia's place. The hostess was always very responsive. The pool was awesome. Everything was exactly as listed. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and laundry. Location wise the house is private and close to many great activities. Would highly recommend!

Staying at the aloha bungalow was awesome!!! It was like our own little apartment here on the Big Island. Jacob's co-host Kimberly was always checking in to make sure things were going smooth and clearly describing navigation and check in, also how things go at the bungalow. I would 10/10 stay here again, this was the cherry on top for my trip in Hawaii... There is nothing like returning from long adventurous days to a little safe home away from home. One that is surrounded by a beautiful garden and thoughtfully set up for your convenience! Thank you Kim and Jacob!!!!

Carolyn and Mike's Air BnB is absolutely stunning! I think it's even nicer than the photos. I loved opening the window by the bed at the end of the day to let the cool breeze in. The bed is so comfortable, the living area is lovely, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The bathroom felt luxurious and the shower was wonderful. There's plenty of closet space too. Overall, it's very private and serene. There are so many decorative touches throughout the space that make it so charming and cozy. Carolyn and Mike were very friendly, generous, and kind, they felt like Ohana. The complimentary breakfast was lovely! She helped me pick out some of her beautiful handmade jewelry to bring home as gifts. They're very caring and responsive. The location of the rental is right near Volcano National Park and there are several really good restaurants nearby as well. The Farmers Market in the Village was a lot of fun to go to too! I would definitely stay at Carolyn's Air BnB again!

We had so much fun to spend time at Broken Dog Ranch! During our stay, kids and I loved to feed Ti leaves to cows named Larry, Maggie and Molly. It was a great experience for kids to feed and touch such big gentle giants. As they highly recommended, we had manta ray night snorkeling tour in Kona. It was the most memorable experience for all of us ever!! Thank you for your time and support!

What a dream! This soulful studio cottage is a private jungle oasis—immersed in lush greenery and a symphony of birds. Some highlights include the kitchen’s luxurious hand-hewn wooden counter with copper sink, hot showers, a comfy bed, reliable Wi-Fi, a little cooler with ice packs, and much more. Sarah is a kind, responsive communicator and offered a delicious list of services that I didn’t have a chance to enjoy but hope to in the future. This stay is a safe and welcoming slice of paradise that I’m so grateful and heartened to know exists!

Our second time staying at Gigi’s cottage. Just as impressive as the first! The cottage is tucked away in a flower filled garden next to the main house but feels extremely private. It is perfectly set up and Gigi has sweet touches that make it welcoming and cozy. She is always incredibly responsive. Highly recommend.

This is our 3rd time back to Charles's place and we are always so happy to get there. Everything is as promised and super clean. We really enjoy using the BBQ, the 2 lanais and there is lots of room for everything. Charles & Kathy are very welcoming & friendly hosts and we can't wait to come back again!! =)

Great place with very responsive hosts. They were friendly and willing to let us use snorkeling equipment. Location is peaceful on the owners property.

We had a very good experience during our stay. Our hosts were welcoming and gave us lots of tips on what to do and were to go. Joe even came one night to gave us the full coconuts preparation experience. The place was very nice and the outside deck is definitely a highlight. We recommande the place. Simply be mindful that the free running roosters present in the neighbourhood will let you know the sun is up 😉 Merci Michelle and Joe !
