Great spot! Comfortable space that had everything we needed. It was especially nice watching the sunrise over the park every morning. The location worked well for us. Centrally located, walkable, and easy to stop by between activities.

Overall, the booking with Joe and Cindy was phenomenal. Not only did they communicate quickly, but were also flexible to allow me and one guest to check in an hour early. The place itself was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable (some of the best nights of sleep iʻve had in a while.) The outdoor patio was also overlooking the pool with a hammock, one of the highlights of our stay. Definitely recommend booking a stay here if you like the experience of a hotel, minus the expensive costs. Was worth every penny.

Scott was a great host! The space was clean, quiet, and well stocked with towels for showering and the beach. We appreciated his personal touch, making sure we had everything we needed including bottled water, full access to a kitchen, and beach chairs. The location was great with access to the beach right across the street. It's a very secluded place, the best if you need a retreat but if your plans entail visiting landmarks in Hilo or going to a restaurant every night take into account that it's a 10-mile drive from Pahoa.

Yan Ming was a wonderful host! Whenever I had questions, she was quick to respond. The airbnb was incredibly comfortable and had extra essential items to keep your stay comfortable. We did not use the extra amenities (i.e. pool or washer/dryer) but that was a nice addition as well. I would highly recommend this airbnb!

Excellent location, very quiet with amazing views from the window/balcony. Comes with dedicated parking space, instructions are inside the apartment along with the pass. The apartment itself is clean, bright, plenty of the space for two people. The kitchen and bathroom are old, but that’s not a negative, everything worked and clean, just not seen a 1980s dishwasher in a long time! Would highly recommend for staying in Hilo

We had an amazing stay. My son was really interested in fishing and was able to fish right out front while I cooked and got ready to go sightseeing. It was close to everything we had planned to do. We love the market and downtown. The park and beaches were super close too.

Sierra has put a lot of thought and effort into making this a beautiful and comfortable place to stay while exploring Hilo and the Big Island, or just relaxing. The covered screened porch, with a pair of comfortable chairs, was lovely, and especially welcome the day the it rained hard all day. There is everything needed prepare your own meals, but restaurants are only a few minutes away. Arriving and departing were easy.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the Whale House! The set up is a little different because the upstairs and downstairs are separate but it was fine since we have older kids. The bedrooms and living room/kitchen area were all spacious. The outdoor areas were the best- we loved being able to walk across the street and sit by the ocean. We liked eating breakfast on the deck and the outdoor shower was a unique feature. It was a little more than we usually spend on a stay but overall was worth it for the experience.

Location is excellent, opposite a beach. But the same beach results in noise when people are coming and going. The house was as listed and communication from hosts is second to none. The house is as described in photos, but the layout of the bathrooms is a little unusual. The walls are thin and noise travels though the house. It would have been nice to have a dishwasher, the lack of dishwasher was a bit unexpected. That said, the house was in a great location to explore around Hilo.

My wife and I were celebrating 25 yrs of marriage and brought our two boys in their 20s, one with girlfriend in tow. Plenty of room, private enough on the lava coast. Walmart and Foodland weren't far away. Volcano access within the hour. Great location.

This house is a delight! From the beautiful decor to the view of the ocean, the sound of the waves and the perfect location. Can’t wait to come back! Yes please!

Beautiful spot above the ocean. Property is quiet and very private. Kitchen is set up for cooking and good bbq set up. Had a wonderful stay and highly recommend

We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at Mana House. Theresa goes above and beyond with recommendations and making us feel comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and we fell asleep to ocean sounds every night. It’s truly magical and we will definitely return, thank you!

The apartment is just perfect for a couple. I was floored to see the interior decor and layout, and the balcony was a beautiful place to eat breakfast or just to drink coffee and read. Big screen TV and free streaming service, Roku, Netflix, Paramount, Apple TV, Disney+, to name a few, Wifi is excellent should you just want to stay indoors. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay whether you wish to cook or just relax & chill. Parking area is not lit during the night so it's dark but you're safe, and the property has resident geese and chickens. The nightly rate is absolutely reasonable, about a $100 less than the two major hotels on Banyan Drive, plus you get so much more extra room amenities that hotels don't give yet charge you that extra $50 resort fee for things you should get by default. Complementary Keurig cups (coco and coffee) hands down this place is definitely value added. I will certainly look at staying at this place in Hilo town again, 5 ⭐

We had a issue with the shower head on arrival. Vacasa and their team were so quick to address the issue. The gentleman who manages the entire property was so wonderful. He met us on checkin and made us feel very welcomed from the start. They were repaving the parking lot and he had an entire plan in place for parking guests as we arrived if our spot was affected by the current paving. The place was quiet and relaxing. Would recommend this location to anyone wanting to use it. We had a small child and the hosts have thought of everything there were even some kids books there :)

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

The Hilotown Condo was exactly what we expected plus a bit more... great location on the park with a very nice view of the park and even a bit of the ocean, was clean and well kept, plus had all the amenities. We especially enjoyed the lanai, dreamy bed and A/C! The condo is very close to Coconut Island and the Japanese/Liki'uokalani Gardens which we loved. Shae was very prompt with check-in/out questions. Thank you so much for hosting us! We will return hopefully sometime very soon.

Our stay in Hilo was comfortable and clean. The location is ideal, close to town and all of its activities but also a short walk to a beautiful beach park where we could swim safely in waters sheltered by a breakwater barrier. The apartment was well-serviced with all of the amenities we needed to be comfortable and the designated parking spot made returning to the condo a breeze. Checkin/out were easy with minimal cleaning requests such as stripping bedding and towels. We would recommend this location to other travelers.

This is a unique, older complex and the units are efficiencies that come with a nice size patio. We were there in February and enjoyed sleeping at night with the cool night air blowing through the screen patio door. Once you get used to the area noises, it makes for good sleeping. What is nice is that the place comes lightly stocked, or they leave the donated items from other guests for future guests. I would rate this a 2.5/3 star accommodation, but very clean. It does not have central air, but it does have an external source to cool the unit. The building’s small laundry room was convenient and clean. We did not use the pool as the water was in need of a good shocking. There is a golf course that borders the back of the complex with a walking trail to the ocean. The people we met in the complex were friendly and helpful. Downtown Hilo is just five minutes away. We enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!

Sonja and Alex are exemplary Airbnb hosts! They are thoughtful and attentive. We could not have asked for more! If you are going to the Big Island, do yourself a favor and stay in this beautiful oasis. My husband and I had an amazing time, Sonja and Alex left chocolates and fresh island fruits in our space and made us feel 100% at home. Future visits to Hawaii (big island) will be spent here. Gorgeous views and peaceful surroundings. I cannot imagine finding better accommodations. Beautiful, peaceful, perfect. Mahalo Sonja and Alex, MUCH ALOHA. <3
