Cozy, comfy cabin for a winter break. Beautiful surroundings, great food options, and a steamy hot tub. We had a good friends week.

This cabin is so worth the stay! So close to the lake and plenty of room around the cabin for outdoor activities if the weather cooperates! Even though there are other cabins nearby, it still feels very private.

This is a cozy cabin on beautiful property with hiking trails right out the door, a small stocked pond, and great sledding hills. The road to the cabin was rougher than expected but we also arrived after lots of rain. I would not advise arriving after dark. The main floor is spacious with lots of seating and a large smart TV. The woodstove is awesome and puts out an incredible amount of heat. The mattresses are all medium-firm. No plush pillowtops here. But we knew this ahead of time and brought mattress toppers for those who needed them. Lots of warm blankets and comforters. We loved that the house uses solar and hydroelectric. This did mean monitoring the house’s power and several power outages, but it was always easy to get back online. And the house has a generator if needed. As a host, John‘s service and welcoming feel are unparalleled, and it felt like we were staying at the house of friends while they were out of town. He truly wants his guests to have a great experience.

An amazing property. Very peaceful. Hot tub A+. Heating stove in living room was very effective and nice to quickly warm up inside after a night time hot tub soak on the patio. Easy access to all directions and in the gorge. Friendly check in. The only ‘issue’ was the comfort of the mattress, but that’s a personal detail/preference and very hard to please every single person. Kaymoor was the perfect place to explore New River Gorge NP. Instructions to find it and get in were a breeze. It was a beautiful home and lots of room for our family of 5 adults. So many things to do with just a short drive from the home. We enjoyed the Endless Wall Trail, Miners Trail, the Bridge Walk, and taking the old road down and across the river. We ate at Pies and Pints in Fayetteville and grilled hamburgers on the deck in back of the house. We were only in New River Gorge 2 days and nights but wish we could have stayed longer to explore the other parts of the National Park. I guess we'll just have to come back to Kaymoor. Thanks Stephen and Pam for sharing your home with us!

Christine had issues with her cleaning staff so our check in was delayed but she communicated this to us. She was very apologetic, friendly and outgoing. Christine was so nice to allow us to stay past the checkout time. Thanks, Christine, for making us feel like family.

This was the second time we have stayed here. Perfect location and great amenities for cooking for a family. Very comfortable! Aaron is super responsive to communication and even helped me with an item I left behind - which is rare with Air BnB owners lately. Thank you so much!

Aaron was a great host. Extremely responsive via text / phone call for a few questions we had about the house. The house itself was great. Very old with rustic charm which we loved. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and the foliage was gorgeous in the front yard. Photos were very accurate. The only negative I would say is that the king bedroom on the front of the house that overlooks the main road is very loud, which was a little disruptive for sleep/ naps for our toddler even with a sound machine on. Beds were very comfortable and none of the other guests noticed the street noise because of their room locations were farther away. Town was very sleepy which is what we expected! We enjoyed the playground in walking distance, dinner out, lunch out, and the nearby brewery was fun. Boys went to a golf course nearby that was much cheaper than GB. Overall, we had a very enjoyable trip!

Second stay at Ruth’s to visit our daughter at VTech. You can’t beat the location and ease of check in/out and space. Ruth is always quick to respond and check on needs. She also leaves bottled water, supplies, treats and abundance of linens. Will stay again!

Our family had a great stay. The place was perfect for what we were looking for - cozy, quiet, secluded and close to different areas for day trips. We added a pantry add on package for 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, and 1 dinner for our 3 day stay. Delicious ingredients and very customizable. Quincy's information provided was very useful, from not relying on GPS or cell service for the last legs of the trip there, to different things to do in the area, to menu suggestions with the pantry add on we opted for. There is no Wifi, it is not listed as an amenity but that is still always hard for me to understand until I see it for myself, no matter how many times I travel to the mountains. My family had more success with their AT&T service than I did with my T-Mobile. We managed just fine with being disconnected while there. Host was proactive before the trip to provide details and ask questions. She was very responsive to questions we sent during our trip and helpful throughout.

We had a great weekend in Blacksburg. My son had lacrosse games all weekend and the location to VT was perfect. We were able to walk downtown to eat which was very convenient. The beds were comfortable and we felt right at home. Highly recommend and would choose again in the future.

The wandering goat lodge is a great place to stay. Very cozy place! It’s an excellent place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and of course seeing adorable goats (and donkeys!)

Great location and the pool and fire pit were the perfect amenities to end a day of riding! The host was very responsive and made planning our trip, getting trail passes, check in, and check out seamless. We couldn’t find any extra supplies at the house (ie paper towels, trash bags, etc.) so recommend bringing some of the day to day basics with you. Would definitely recommend to others!

Second time we have stayed and have enjoyed each. Large farm house, is starting to show its age but that adds to the character. Pool and hot tub worked perfectly, Only 6 miles from Fayetteville. Great place for a large group on a rafting adventure.

My family and I came here from Massachusetts. I grew up near here and wanted to show them. At the same time we chose the same week as the WV State Fair. Rick’s farmhouse was perfect! It’s a lovely, updated house in a rural, rustic setting and we loved it! The private pool and lake took this rental to the next level! In the evenings we cooked on the grill, sat on the porch and listened to music and the played games and put Lego sets together. A very quiet, peaceful vacation!

For me personally, this was my favorite Airbnb i have rented. I needed the seclusion, one of those getaway from everywhere type vacations and this fit that perfect. The pool on the lake was so cool along with the sauna, i was there everyday. Its 20 minties from town but there are some very goos restaurants and its 1 hiur from new river gorge with very scenic drives. We will be back!.
