Three of us stayed at the Pink House 2 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Outdoor living was fabulous in the comfortable living, dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen was well stocked and enabled us to have many delicious meals at the house. The inside of the house provided a comfortable space to sleep with the exception of the futon that was a bit tough on the back upon waking. The view from the house is captivating watching the waves crash against the black lava rock of the shoreline as whales surface offshore in the distance. Rusty and Janice were the nicest most helpful hosts that I have ever experienced at Airbnb. We can’t wait to return in the years to come. Thanks so much again to our Canadian hosts!

For me personally, Maria’s place rates right at the top of all the places I’ve stayed at using Airbnb (and certainly well above any hotel stay). If you are looking for a place that is just far enough away from Kona to allow for a bit of calm, you should book Maria’s place without hesitation. It was a short albeit steep walk to Pebble Beach. We ventured out easily to Milolii, Green Sand beach (do that one early!), Hookena and Two Step beaches as well as Kona, Kealakekua, and Captain Cook. We very much enjoyed the space and it was definitely more than I thought it would be. More than that though, Maria was always approachable, responsive immediately, and a pleasure to get to know.

We stayed here 3 nights and it was very comfortable. It had everything we needed - kitchen was well stocked and the shower was great. Overall, a lovely spot with a view of the ocean and great for watching the sunset. Was just a short drive into town. Loved how private it was and we could sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the birds in the trees. Excellent for stargazing as well! We got engaged here on our last night so it will forever hold a special memory for us :) would definitely recommend!

Love this place. This is the second time we have stayed here. Robert and Fran are so accommodating having a pack n play for our baby and even bringing some toys down on a rainy day. The view from the deck is awesome. Would love to stay again

Glamping at its finest. Excellent outdoor kitchen with all of the pots and pans, dishes, silverware etc. fridge. great lighting. fans. Beautifully decorated. Short walk to the beach with kayak rentals. flippers and snorkels available to borrow. Great recommendations for local attractions.

We loved our stay at the cottage! While a small space, it is plenty of room for two adults and was well stocked with everything from toiletry basics to beach gear. The covered porch adds lots of space and was our favorite part of the place. We enjoyed being away from the busier tourist areas and the location is great for Captain Cook, Two Step and Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. The guidebook of recommendations from Monica was great to help us find places to eat without traveling far. The driveway is steep and there’s lots of nature noise but these are both appropriately explained in the property description and were not a bother to us during our stay (we did use a sound machine). Would definitely stay again!

Had a lovely time staying at James’ & Keiko’s place. Beautiful surroundings hosted by two beautiful people. I really enjoyed the cooler temps compared to the coast, the peaceful rain, and conversing with James and Keiko. I toured James’ coffee farm as well, seeing how it’s all done from harvest to packaging. They offered great recommendations and advice on the Kona coast. I highly recommend a stay at their awesome place.

Welcoming and friendly on-site hosts, nice open air kitchen and dining area for meals, central location for west side of island, and a place that now feels like an island home away from home.

We loved the peaceful surroundings and clean, modern decor. Just minutes from downtown Kona, Na-Na’s place served as a great home base from which to explore the town and surrounding area. The back porch is a lovely place to have your morning coffee or lift a glass after the day’s end. Highly recommend!

Hannah’s home is truly paradise! It’s pristine clean, very well maintained and has everything you’ll need. She is a very caring and thoughtful host who noticed I was coming with a 2 year old and stocked special books and cutlery for my toddler to use. We loved the view from the lanai and were able to catch a gorgeous sunset thanks to it! You can hear beautiful birds as you sit and sip on coffee. The kitchen has everything you’ll need and the bathroom is spotless. I know a lot of folks mention the driveway being steep- we had a sedan and had no issues getting in and out.

The view is incredible. It’s a few degrees cooler than Kailua-Kona so it is more comfortable. Michael and Amanda are great hosts and the most enjoyable to talk with. The French Press was a unique touch that shows they go above and beyond to provide a peaceful relaxing environment.

Beautiful, private, cozy comfortable and clean area. Many amenities were included, very responsive host. Convenient proximity to the airport. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Kona.

We felt right at home at Viktor & Julie's place, which was perfect for the three of us. The home was very comfortable and equipped with all the amenities we needed, plus a thoughtful touch with complimentary fresh fruit upon arrival. The BBQ and backyard were fantastic, offering a stunning view of the ocean sunset. The location was great, with a short drive to a beautiful beach for snorkeling and close proximity to the Captain Cook monument. A rental car is essential, but the drive to Kona, the green sand beach, black sand beach, and Volcano National Park was relatively short and scenic. The family was friendly and respectful of our privacy. After our original lodging fell through, we made last-minute reservations, and this was my favorite spot. Would definitely stay again!

Joe has made sure that his space offers an impeccable slice of paradise and is great value for the luxury on offer. When you're in the garden by the pools you really feel like you have a little resort all to yourself. The sunsets from the front lawn and living room are incredible. The house had everything that we needed as well as extra beach/pool/snorkeling equipment that we weren't expecting. Joe also provided a high chair and crib for our baby which were both of great quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

Julya was a fantastic host with great communication, customer centric service mentality providing timely responses. We loved our stay in the home which was very well maintained and Julya ensured every step on the way that all our needs were met and our stay was smooth. Julya provided all the needed info about the home prior to our travel timeline which was very helpful for us to understand when we got there. We absolutely enjoyed the home and would love to come back again!

Our stay at Mason and Maddie’s place was very pleasant and peaceful and we would love to stay there again. We love the convenience of short drive to restaurants and beautiful beaches. We came to big island to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and we enjoyed our stay very much! Mahalo!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Ellen's and Bob's home. The unit was very spacious and comfortable, we felt like just like home. The place was clean and alot of thought was put into it by the welcoming treats basket, beach gears, and fully stocked kitchen. Both hosts were very friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we would love to come back when we visit the Big Island again.

Our stay on the Big Island was incredible! Nestled higher up, the Airbnb offered stunning views, cool evenings, and breathtaking sunsets. It was the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion with easy access to roads for exploring. The hosts were the true highlight. They greeted us with aloha, offered early check-in, and even suggested a late checkout. They shared great recommendations, provided snacks, and gifted us fresh eggs from their chickens. It felt like staying with ohana! The space itself was perfect—clean, modern, and cozy, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Waking up to the views and winding down with the sunsets was unforgettable. Easily one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at. If you want a stay filled with beauty, aloha, and great hosts, this is the place. Mahalo nui loa—we can’t wait to return!
