Beautiful spot on the beach, right in the village within easy walking distance of everything we needed. Our kids entertained themselves on the beach and made friends with some of the local boys. It was a truly wonderful stay.

What a gem of a place. Everything is walkable Hopkins has my heart! Anything you need they live right on property and will help you out. Solo traveling no need to be concerned fun and very safe. Take a walk out back in the morning and have coffee. The bedroom has a beautiful view of the water ❤️

This Placencia home exceeded all expectations. The staff's thoughtfulness showed from day one when they pre-stocked our house with food for Christmas Eve, knowing shops might be closed. Their attention to detail continued throughout our stay - from bringing fresh coconuts poolside to Mundo sharing his catch of an iguana after noting my interest. Morning paddle boarding sessions with Moira the dog became a cherished routine, and the other pups added joy to our days. The staff struck a perfect balance - always available and incredibly responsive, while allowing us the space to fully relax. They handled everything seamlessly in the background, letting us focus on enjoying this beautiful place This isn't just accommodation - it's a home away from home with staff who treat you like friends. Perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with genuine hospitality.

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

Andrea was a great hostess. She was very attentive and helpful. It was very comfortable for two people, Super well appointed. The sunsets from the lanai were spectacular! Make sure you take advantage of Edward, the juice man, who delivers fresh local juices, and the fish vendor who comes by from time to time. There was great birding from the lanai! Having access a 10 minute walk away to a resort on the ocean side with the breeze, the palm trees, and a restaurant was fabulous. We were there during an unexpectedly wet “dry season“, which made the bugs problematic. The airport noise was a little more than we expected, but you get used to it pretty quickly, and there are no planes flying at night.

Great property with many options for multiple families/groups. We had a group of 18 and rented 3 houses, all just steps away from each other. The space has a perfectly small pool, nice deck area, and is so quiet. It was clean and looked exactly like the photos. We did not get daily maid service and every house in our group ran out of necessities (toilet paper). The water from the faucet is drinkable and the toilets can take toilet paper. The showers don't get super hot, but are soothing with hot weather. TV/wifi was easy to navigate and Beth was extremely responsive. The kitchen does not come stocked with any food/spices. Pick up salt,pepper, butter, oil if you intend to cook. I highly recommend you ask for a cook for some meals. A breakfast fed 16 people and was $150 usd (and delicious). Rent a golf cart & pay to have it dropped off and picked up. Lots of fun to be had in this house!

What a beautiful oasis. Chris is a lovely guy who was really helpful and interesting. If you’re looking for peace then it’s off the beaten track enough that you will be surrounded by nature and chilled vibes. Felt lucky to stay here. Truly amazing location with everything located within walking distance yet just far enough off the road (50’) to feel like you were in a garden. Super cute and comfortable!! We have already sent this listing to a couple of our friends that are planning a trip to Placencia.

We had a nice stay - so many great restaurants nearby and so close to the beach. We were a bit worried about noise as we could hear the neighbors when in the living room, but in the bedroom it was plenty quiet and peaceful.

It’s a very comfortable little place to stay. Close to everything but far enough away from the centre of town that it is still quiet at night.

This was an absolute amazing place to stay to end our short Belize getaway! We had the beach and dock to ourselves the first night and most of the following day as the nearby casita wasn't rented. Lucas (property manager) came by shortly after we arrived to answer our questions and to take care of a minor repair (a/c in the kitchen). While it wasn't able to be rectified during ur stay, the weather was nice enough to simply use the fan to keep the place at a comfortable temperature. Check-in was simple and the home is truly wonderful and very comfortable! Both Brad and Lucas were quick to communicate and answer our questions. Highly recommend staying at this home if you head to Placencia and don't want to be right in the hustle and bustle of town and want a little privacy for your group!

If you are looking for a dream vacation on the coast of Belize, this is it! Our stay here was beyond exceptional with every amenity you can imagine to make your vacation more than spectacular. The space is stunning and clean and comfortable. The furnishings and architectural design emanate high standards in quality. You truly want for nothing staying here. The home provides AC, a laundry room and spacious cupboards to place your belongings. The swimming pool is pristine and the beach out front is breathtaking. You wake up to peacefulness and beauty. We love to cook and the kitchen was paradise. The village of Hopkins is minutes away with a variety of restaurants and guided tours, while you are tucked away surrounded by lovely homes and the sounds of nature. Sea birds are abundant and the kayaks provided allow for an outing in a heartbeat. The bikes were solid and fun and easy to ride down the road for pleasure or into the village. The view is wowing and the hosts are amazing!

Have stayed here twice in three years, only missing out because I didn't book soon enough! The house, pool, and porch are perfect for reading a book or sipping cocktails, and the rooftop offers views of the sunrise and sunset. The house is clean and well-maintained, and the kitchen is well-appointed.. perfect for those of us who like to cook! Definitely worth checking out!

We enjoyed our stay at casa amigos #5. Family of 5 traveling together stayed for 5 nights. We enjoyed having a full kitchen a bbq grill and especially the pool! The pool was so nice we enjoyed it from dusk to dawn! The boat that crosses the canal was fine and Edwin and wife were great and polite people. We would stay here again if and when we return.

We enjoyed our stay in Belize so much. This house was beautiful and worked really well for our needs. Location was great. The views were so nice. Morning coffee on the patio was awesome.

We enjoyed our stay at Marsh Madness. The property was beautiful and offered everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We had the best of both worlds to include a swimming pool and the Caribbean Sea (kayaks provided). It was a fantastic base camp for all of our adventures in Stann Creek and the Toledo districts and it was easy to find and access. The residence comfortably housed five adults and the kitchen area was great for cooking and socializing. The balcony overlooking the sea was probably my favorite. The host was receptive and always there if we had any questions or needs. We had a great stay and hope to return soon!!!!

Incredible home and above and beyond service! The entire staff was helpful from the planning stages with the concierge to the friendly onsite staff (who were by no means intrusive—it was amazing how much they cleaned compared to how little we saw them). The chef was also outstanding! He made delicious, well-portioned meals and cleaned up after each one. I will point out that the distance to the city center (Placencia) was about a 25 minute drive. Franco was able to schedule taxis for us which was great when our full group of 10 wanted to go out together (note: request a taxi with AC!). We had rented a car which was nice for getting groceries/quick trips. I recommend getting liquor at the duty-free store in the airport (BZE) as it is more expensive in placencia. The grocery stores are also very limited so bring any favorite snacks ;)

Beautiful place to stay! We had a wonderful relaxing time, we especially enjoyed the pier/dock. The house was clean and comfortable, we liked sitting out on the deck. Very private quiet location. I would most certainly book this stay again, when we're back in Belize.

We had 2 families(9 total) stay here for 1 week. The house was the perfect spot to come back to at the end of everyday. The AC was a blessing, beachfront amazing to lay in the hammocks and read or to swim and relax in the water. We enjoyed the house and everyone was able to spread out with plenty of space. The hosts were gracious and the hosts grandson checked in on us and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. I will say you need to bring generous amounts o bug spray, the mosquitos are viscous here. Other than that, we enjoyed our time very much!

Instructions for checkin and use of space are very clear and communication was great. There are QR codes throughout the house to answer FAQs of how to use things like the stove, where to find the sheets, how to use the futon and so on. Loved that proactive help. The place was sooo well stocked with many things often not seen in an Airbnb. Even the floaties for the water was thoughtful! Washer and dryer worked well. The private beach was nice. The distance from Hopkins, which we highly recommend going into town and patronizing the local businesses vs resorts and developers where the villa is located, is about 10mins in a car. Lots of our neighbors had golf carts too. Only thing we had a hard time with was the noise carried out in the home. There is NO privacy. You will hear everything happening in each room because of no closures with the vaulted ceilings. We didn’t mark stars down for this bc it was written in the house listing. We just didn’t realize the impact until there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Laylo. Beautiful beach in front, nice swimming pool, quiet, safe and nice restaurants in the area! Jessie was flexible with our arrival as I thought it would take much longer to get through the airport and to Seine Bight! It was a lovely place and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

Herbert place was peaceful, clean, and inviting. We all 4 enjoyed our stay and loved being greeted by the local 2 dogs everyday. The morning sunrises were amazing. We took the kayaks out twice in the morning and enjoyed the view and all the beautiful birds feeding in the shallow sea floor while the sunrise glistened. The beach was clean, but everyday plastic would be swept in by the tides. Not a lot and no fault of the host Herbert. My husband and I would pick it up everyday. Only because we are activist about a clean earth. I wish all people would recognize this problem. Thanks Herbert for the great communication and your beautiful home. We all had a great time.
