Such a private and relaxing location. Our last two nights we even saw the aurora over Gratiot Lake! Make sure if cloudy days are forecasted you conserve power! We had no difficulty utilizing the amenities and when we had questions Rebecca was responsive and helpful! The roads in are sand/gravel so we would recomend using a vehicle with high clearance. We had a wonderful stay here!

Only thing I didn’t like about the place was the drive way a little tight to pull into with bigger trucks but it was still really nice interior could of fit 10 people if you really wanted but loved the place would 100% come back n ride boho again! Place is amazing and has good places to eat near by

Absolutely gorgeous setting right on the lake. The home was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we would need. We will certainly stay here again.

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay over the past weekend. We wanted to stay in the L’Anise area, since we have a friend that lives in the town, and this was the best option. The unit is clean, has an amazing view of Lake Superior and is very spacious. I was very impressed with the unit overall. I would gladly book again!

I hate to leave a positive review because we want this place all to ourselves. The location is amazing to see anything and everything we wanted and more. Quite area right on the Keweenaw Bay, amazing sunrises every morning along with deer greeting you! The fenced in yard gave us time to relax as we didn't have to worry about our dogs every move.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend away. Amanda and Jason were so helpful during our time there. The days we stayed were below 0 degrees and one of the pipes froze from the cold, within one hour of contacting the hosts, Jason was out to the cabin and had the water running again. They also had great recommendations of things to do in the area. We tried the Nordic spa at Mt. Bohemia one evening and loved it. The snow all around the cabin was awesome and we hope to return in the summer someday.

Very beautiful and peaceful location. We brought our dog with and he really liked this place as well, he felt right at home!

Absolutely gorgeous home and suite in a beautiful location on Lake Superior. Nancy was an amazing host, so incredibly welcoming and nothing was overlooked. The suite was beautiful and we felt completely spoiled with all the amenities. Hunting for agates and yooperlites was our favorite pastime during our stay. I highly recommend staying at this gem on the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula.

This is the only house I have ever gone back to and I've been there 4 times. You will not find a winter waterfront view like this anywhere else. The home is spacious, quiet, and well kept.

From the moment we arrived, Cheryl was lovely! Her place is very nice, clean and had all of the amenities needed for a great stay. A private B&B, on the water, and just 20 minutes from Houghton, what more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Cheryl is fun to visit, kind, and informative. The continental breakfast, hot tub and sauna were highlights for us. There are many extras here a large family or group could keep entertained with (instruments, blue tooth speaker, karaoke machine, roku TV, snowshoes, sleds for sledding, pool, hot tub, sauna, nature trails). Parking a truck and trailer for snowmobiling is effortless. It is a nice base camp for snowmobiling groups that will be trailering to their spot.

La Rose is a hidden gem in the Keweenaw bay and I'm so glad to stumble upon it. The backyard has a perfect view of Lake Superior giving you panoramic views of sun and moon rises. Cheryl is very friendly and she cares about the local community. She's so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I would definitely go back.

The accommodations were as described. The place was very well kept and clean. The large room upstairs over looking Portage Lake is beautiful. I would highly recommend. Hope to return next year

We visited for a weekend skiing trip at Mont Ripley. Shannon's place was clean, quiet, and the perfect size for our family of four. The location is just what we were looking for, away from the hustle and bustle of Houghton and Hancock but just a short drive to Mont Ripley and restaurants. Just a word of caution, the road leading to the cabin is rural, and during our three day visit we received about 8 inches of snow and it was never plowed. We didn't have any issues getting in and out, but four wheel drive is probably required on snowy weekends.

The house was exactly as pictured. One of the few stays where I was able to cook breakfasts and dinners and had everything I needed. The main family room with the fireplace was cozy and relaxing. We typically chose the places we stay for the sauna and this one was one of the best. It heated up quickly and steamed well. The lake view was amazing with peak color and close to fun outdoorsy things we love when in the UP.

The location of this place could not be better. Own private beautiful beach. Hardly saw other people the whole time we were there! If you want a place to get away from it all, this place is it. Lake Superior is a magical place and at Anna’s place you have it all to yourself. We spent the entire time at the lake and it was amazing.

Top notch, 100% great stay! I can't say enough great things about this home/location/property owner! The location was close enough to places we wanted to check out for day trips (Calumet, Eagle Harbor lighthouse, JamPot, etc) but coming back always felt like home. The host was responsive and helpful. We didn't cook any meals, but the kitchen seemed well stocked if we had wanted to do more than heat pasties. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, the decor was great, and the views were phenomenal. I was even able to see the Northern Lights. Our timing with the fall color season was the cherry on top of a wonderful trip! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

The home is older and quirky but has everything you need and lots of space for a family. The property is beautiful and the private beach was amazing. We enjoyed reading the book about the homes history. We made day trips to the Porkies and Copper Harbor. I cannot say enough about the private beach. Go to the UP, book this place, you will not regret it.

A very well done place with evidence of tremendous effort to do things correctly. Taylor was fantastic to work with and incredibly responsive. This will be our go to spot each winter when we make the trip. It’s every bit as nice as the listing suggests. Thank you!
