This is the only house I have ever gone back to and I've been there 4 times. You will not find a winter waterfront view like this anywhere else. The home is spacious, quiet, and well kept.

place is beautiful with plenty of space. If you in town for snowmobile or ORV trails this is the place. Trail runs right in front of the property easy to access. Not loud either.

The accommodations were as described. The place was very well kept and clean. The large room upstairs over looking Portage Lake is beautiful. I would highly recommend. Hope to return next year

The house was exactly as pictured. One of the few stays where I was able to cook breakfasts and dinners and had everything I needed. The main family room with the fireplace was cozy and relaxing. We typically chose the places we stay for the sauna and this one was one of the best. It heated up quickly and steamed well. The lake view was amazing with peak color and close to fun outdoorsy things we love when in the UP.

Top notch, 100% great stay! I can't say enough great things about this home/location/property owner! The location was close enough to places we wanted to check out for day trips (Calumet, Eagle Harbor lighthouse, JamPot, etc) but coming back always felt like home. The host was responsive and helpful. We didn't cook any meals, but the kitchen seemed well stocked if we had wanted to do more than heat pasties. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, the decor was great, and the views were phenomenal. I was even able to see the Northern Lights. Our timing with the fall color season was the cherry on top of a wonderful trip! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We loved staying at Kyle’s place! The host was responsive and provided clear instructions and suggestions. The house was very clean and spacious, and had everything we needed. There was plenty of comfortable seating - loved the porch and outdoor space. The mattress was super comfortable, which is important to my old bones after a day of hiking/exploring! We were only two people, but you could easily accommodate a large family or group and have plenty of room! We loved the remote waterfront location, it was so quiet and peaceful. We explored the Baraga County area (recommend the Lake and County tour), easily made day trips east to the Michigamme area and west to the Keweenaw and to Houghton for a MTU football game. We even got to see the Northern Lights right from the yard! It was a great time and we are already talking about coming back!

I loved her cozy Airbnb! Felt like I was home 🏡 but a lot colder and way more snow 😊. Very very clean and had everything we needed to cook meals which is not always the case. PLENTY of sleeping room. It was just my daughter and I but wanted to check it out for the summer time and I will try to rent it again for then. Cheryl was super sweet and kind. We had an issue but she was very quick to respond and fix the situation. GREAT host! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Would definitely look for availability here next time I am in Houghton! If you’re. If you’re not familiar with the area, the walk from this location to shops/food is beautiful and very pleasant along the waterway. Great views and spacious!

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay over the past weekend. We wanted to stay in the L’Anise area, since we have a friend that lives in the town, and this was the best option. The unit is clean, has an amazing view of Lake Superior and is very spacious. I was very impressed with the unit overall. I would gladly book again!

We had a fantastic time for a winter weekend getaway. The listing was accurate, the unit was very clean and spotless, and check in and entry was easy despite plenty of snow. Thanks for a great home in this winter wonderland!

Staying in one of Trisia's properties is always our first choice when we're traveling to the Houghton area. The rental offers just about everything you could think of or need. It's very comfortable. We also love that it is above Roy's bakery. We can just walk downstairs and choose whatever we want to eat- donuts, salads, pasties, sandwiches. It overlooks the canal, is within walking distance of downtown and just a drive to lots of interesting historical locations and beautiful scenic sites.

Had a fantastic overnight stay here. Loved the location in Houghton - the proximity to the Michigan Tech Ski Trails was awesome, great view of the bridge, and lots of good shops and food nearby. Our suite was clean, bright and modern. Large and nice bathroom. Really felt like a getaway.

Great for snowmobilers, about 1-2 blocks from direct access to trail 14 - no need to trailer. Room to park trailer and sleds. Close to fuel stop. Restaurants within walking distance, or off trail. Nice cozy and clean place, more room than typical hotel room with kitchen amenities.

I am grateful to have stayed in such an amazing place, with my dog, Jax! The host was very responsive and instructions were clear and to the point. It is a very relaxing and quiet area as well, and my dog enjoyed drinking from Lake Superior with ease. This is our second stay at the wonderful cottage. Beautiful lake-views/frontage, shady picturesque surrounding trees, UP nature at its finest. We love the cottage and felt right at home and it provided everything we needed. Thank you for providing a wonderful vacation spot for us again!

I have only absolutely wonderful things to say about our stay here! The location, on the shore of Lake superior, near Mt Bohemia but also near to other attractions was fantastic. The house itself is lovely as is the sauna house. I have never stayed in an airbnb so well appointed. The decor was lovely, nice bedding, games, books, etc. The kitchen was better stocked with pans etc than my own. It was perfect for many lovely family meals. We had an incredible stay! I hope we will come back many times in the future! Thank you!

Would definetly stay here agian. Stayed here in mid-February and there were a good 18'' of snow around the property but there was a small walkway cleared to access the cottage. Overall this was a great place. The host was responsive with the one issue we encountered and worked to fix it same day. My only feedback would be that the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the TV audio was so bad it was basically unusable. I don't think either issue should be a disqualifier for most people who consider this location. Also my girlfriend and I both enjoyed the shower.

We visited for a weekend skiing trip at Mont Ripley. Shannon's place was clean, quiet, and the perfect size for our family of four. The location is just what we were looking for, away from the hustle and bustle of Houghton and Hancock but just a short drive to Mont Ripley and restaurants. Just a word of caution, the road leading to the cabin is rural, and during our three day visit we received about 8 inches of snow and it was never plowed. We didn't have any issues getting in and out, but four wheel drive is probably required on snowy weekends.

We have stayed at Gail’s other rentals before and they have all been excellent. She’s flexible and easy to work with, and provides a clean place to call home for a few days. We will be staying again in the future!

This is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed in with Lisa in both the summer and the winter. The house is always clean, the walking paths are great even in the winter. We see a lot of wildlife around and at night you have never seen such dark skys or heard such stillness. We spend lots of time in the Keweenaw and prefer to stay in this private setting rather than in town. We enjoy the proximity to White City Beach and the we enjoy walking to the lake right from the house. Lisa and her family are always very accommodating!
