This was a perfect place to celebrate my mother-in-law with the family. Our family would like to come back again and have the opportunity to stay longer and have more family members join us. An ideal location in a town where our family has had roots for over 90 years. The elders who were present felt at home and the combination of camping and small cabins, the outdoor kitchen, and the fire ring was the absolute perfect combination for a good time. Thank you very much.

This home is a dream come true! So cozy and so grand at the same time. My family of 9 gathered from all over, for my birthday and we had a wonderful time at the “ PB manor” as we fondly dubbed it. So much fun. We wished there was a “history of the home, and how it came to be” as it was special in every aspect! Very clean. Comfy beds. Great kitchen (stocked with all the cookware and a nice spice cabinet) for dinner and breakfast! We also had a flex check in and out which was so appreciated. We will definitely be back! The only thing we noticed that was funny maybe for some, no bathroom door on master suite at all, but it was not a big deal for us. There were a lot of stairs for the elders but 2 great rooms on main floor. we wished there were lawn games avail for the beautiful yard and maybe another table/place to eat in the yard! This was the best place to relax and take time to be with each other! The jacuzzi was grand and the tub was 🤌we all feel so grateful! Thanks Johnny and Paul

My 2 best friends and I love visiting the North Coast every year for a relaxing getaway. We think we have found our dream home for that trip from now on. The house was just as pictured and Pauline was a lovely, thoughtful host. She was very informative and helpful leading up to the trip and then following our orientation, left us to enjoy her beautiful cottage. The house is 3 minutes from the grocery store in Fortuna so very accessible but nestled up in the redwoods making you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. We each had our own room and were very comfortable. Thank you again for sharing your unique cottage with us!

Great small spot right by the center of town for a single family stay! Walkable to groceries, coffee, and restaurants

My wife and I spent our second wedding anniversary here - we had an absolutely fantastic stay! The place was spotless, well-stocked, and so cozy—it was the perfect place for us to unwind. The dual hot tubs were a huge highlight, especially enjoying them in the rain with the incredible views all around. The town is peaceful and remote, making it the ideal spot for a quiet getaway while still having everything you need nearby. Laura was also very helpful and responsive. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely love to come back!

Isa was a wonderful host! Her place was perfect and a great value. The house felt very secluded since we were tucked away in the back. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after long days of hiking. Isa provided great recommendations of things to do as well. Garberville doesn't have a ton to offer, but we ate at a couple local restaurants which were very good. We were mainly there to hike and Isa's place was a perfect location for that. 15 min from Humboldt Redwood State Park and 10 min from Richardson Grove State Park. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

This was my wife's and I second time staying here, last time we were dating and that was 6 years ago! Sara's place is amazing and one of our favorite places. It's peaceful, quiet, beautiful, and everything you need to disconnect from stress. The turkey's greeting us was the highlight of our day, and every morning we saw deer in our way back in town! Sara's place is sparkling clean, and has everything you need to be comfortable. The soaps she provided were pretty great too! She left duck eggs for us which was an amazing touch, I've never tried them before and was excited to! Anytime we come to Humboldt, Sara's place will be our go to.

We were visiting Cal Poly Humboldt and this place was perfect- walkable to campus, to restaurants and other businesses in town, and to the beautiful community forest. Street parking was easy and we enjoyed eating at the little patio table outside the door- lots of beautiful flowers in the neighborhood in February. We had everything we needed in the house plus fresh fruit and flowers!

Really nice spot. Was easy access, and loved the deck for sleeping tent. Bathroom set up was great.
