We hebben een fantastische week gehad. Mooi ruim opgezet huis. Schoon en Knus. Einde van de dag heerlijk in de jacuzzi. Iedere avond genoten van het noorderlicht. Prima plek voor uitstapjes in het noorden van IJsland. 30 kilometer van Akureyri. In de buurt nog lekker gewandeld (voormalig zwembadroute langs rivier). Komen graag terug.

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

La casa di Holmfridur Sólveig è perfetta per un soggiorno nel nord dell’Islanda. La casa ha tutto: cucina completa di tutto, bel bagno, bella vista e per di più c’è anche una vasca esterna di acqua calda geotermica. Posizione ottima. Grazie

We really enjoyed staying here. The views are fantastic , lovely hot tub too. We booked whale watching and also drove out to myvatn, and stopped at lots of features along the way. It was all really easy from the house.

This property exceeded all of our expectations and the photos don’t do it justice. Clean, comfortable and extremely private. We experienced a yellow alert (severe blizzard with very strong winds) so had to stay in the house for an entire day… and it was the perfect place for that! The driveway got completely snowed in, but the caretaker was able to help dig us out and couldn’t have been kinder. We will most certainly stay here again if in the area. Communication was fast, friendly and very thorough.

The house was perfect for our needs (we are a family of 7)- even big! Kitchen was great and the location was beautiful! Highly recommend!

We had lovely time at Aanna's place. Anna was very responsive and super friendly. It was easy to connect with her, she was kind to show us her wonderful green house. House by itself was great, had everything we needed. Place is beautiful and serene. Overall very comfortable stay, Thank you Anna.

10/10 space. We left and couldn’t stop thinking about how awesome it was. Between the hottub and comfortable beds it was stellar. I very much look forward to returning <3

Our first Air BnB thatcame with smiles and handshakes! Helga and her husband are not only great hosts but great people as well. The communication back and forth was quick and easy. Any question we we got an answer instantly... and follow her directions not google! The farm is on one of the most beautiful pieces of land with the most outstanding views, yet a very short to town, grocery store, etc. The space had everything we needed, including a very spacious shower with hot water for days! The bed was very comfy but our favorite room was the living area with all the awesome views. My husband and I now have a joke that Helga turned on the Northern Lights for us... after 8 nights in Iceland with no lights we were able to experience this phenomenon right out the front door. Thanks Helga! Don’t hesitate to book when staying in Akureyri, we hope to be back again one day!

The house is big and there are many beds. But, indeed you need to be aware of the stairs. The place is beautiful, a very good choice for a group of friends.

A very convenient location with a an excellent host! We relaxed at night, and enjoyed the area during the day. Excellent amenities and comfortable.

Das Haus ist einfach wundervoll. Wir hatten 3 tolle Tage im Haus und konnten die Wale beobachten. Für uns war dieses Haus ein Highlight in Island. Immer wieder gerne…Danke dafür!

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und geräumig. Sie ist kreativ eingerichtet und hat einen atemberaubenden Ausblick. Wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr offen, hilfreich und freundlich. Sie haben uns über die Möglichkeit einer Glatteisbildung informiert und hilfreiche Tipps gegeben. Das selbst gebackene Brot hat uns einen angenehmen Empfang bereitet. Gerne werden wir diese Familie wieder aufsuchen.

Very nice apartment, very clean, well equipped. You’ll find everything you need here. They even have a washing machine and dryer (shared with 2 other apartments) available. We had a very nice stay here and the owners have a very friendly dog who loved to be petted. The airbnb is located very conveniently, close to Húsavík, Akureyri, Mývatn and a lot of sightseeing places. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Sweet place. The beds are very comfortable and the cabin is cozy. Beautiful view on the lake, we were lucky to see the amazing Northern Lights straight from the terrace. What a luxury ! Great large space on the 1st floor. Our teenagers enjoyed a lot to have their space. Looking forward to come again.

Our stay here was very comfortable. This was the best equipped of all the kitchens and apartment in general of all the bnb’s we stayed at. Warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. Very easy to find just on the road 85. Highly recommend. Cute cheeky puppies too 🥰

The place is nice, we just spent the night there. You won’t find other places nearby actually :). The communication was clear and timely. Check in was good, although we needed to dig with shovels a bit as there was a lot of snow in from of the door (but we kinda liked it). The interior is simple but we had everything we needed.
