Truly magical place. Absolutely beats staying in town and all of the best hotels in Iceland. Beautiful surroundings to watch the northern lights, enjoy a perfectly designed outdoor fire pit, relax in a heated outdoor pool, and watch the sunrise. The hot springs, restaurant, and beaches are walkable from the house. The restaurant will deliver a small breakfast for your group to the house. 45 min drive to Reykjavík.

This cabin was an absolute dream for our honeymoon. It felt super remote and secluded, with incredible vistas of the snowy mountains and valley below. We felt lucky to be the highest cabin on the hill side, it felt really private and we enjoyed the long track up to the location. We had everything we needed, efficient heating, great kitchen and the hot tub was absolutely perfect (though please note that sulfurous water will reversably tarnish silver jewellery!) No complaints, thanks for making our trip so damn special xx

This was our family's 4th trip to Iceland and this is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful the setting is. The views of the lake & mountains are absolutely amazing! The cabin is charming and has two large bay windows which provide spectacular views. We felt right at home here. When I had a question, Gudrun was quick to respond. We loved the location. It's private & tucked away in a beautiful area but only 25 minute drive from my friend's house in Mosfellbaer, a lovely town of approximately 15,000 people and has a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin is only a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. The icing on the cake is that we got to see the northern lights from the cabin! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

Das Haus liegt sehr idyllisch an einem kleinen Hang in der Nähe eines Sees. Vom Schlafzimmer und Whirlpool aus konnten wir schön in das Tal blicken und morgens den Sonnenaufgang genießen. Die Attraktionen vom Golden Circle ließen sich von hier aus auch innerhalb eines Tages anschauen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

This is such a unique cottage on the waterway! Within 15 minutes of arriving we were greeted by some seal friends. 😃 This is definitely off the beaten path, but the host gives you good directions and is responsive. Care must be taken when driving during winter down their driveway, but it looked like they had driven a tractor down it first to allow better grip. Like some others mentioned, taking a shower you will definitely smell the water a lot more than the other two locations we stayed at in Iceland. But we could accept that to stay in such a cute cottage. Finally there were basic necessities to make a full dinner. Which we took advantage of because eating out can get expensive. So if you are looking for a place that is slightly closer to the Snaefellsnes peninsula and off the beaten path, this is a really good choice.

Wonderful 2 day stay! Very comfortable space, with great beds and incredible views. We were very lucky and saw the Northern Lights both nights. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Very responsive host who was able to help with any questions and concerns we had. Our family felt right at home. We loved the hot tub and yard out back. The view of the mountains and fjord was breathtaking. The house was very comfortable and clean. We rented a car which I would recommend to anyone. It was about 45 minutes to Reykjavík and about 1 hour and 15 minutes to Keflavík Airport. We were able to drive to all of our locations on the southern part of the island and make several day trips. We hope to come back again in the future.

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.
