Once again, my time at The Steamboat Inn was nothing short of exceptional! The charm of the home, the impeccable customer service, and the warm hospitality of the entire “Steamboat Team” create an experience that is truly unmatched. In fact, I’ve already booked my next two stays!

We enjoyed staying here in this peaceful place because we were recovered jet-lag after the long flight from Finland. Especially we enjoyed warm evenings siting in the patio watching the peaceful landscape.

All I can say is WOW! This home is more Beautiful in person and the pictures do not do it justice. My Daddy passed away and me, my siblings and our children all live out of town/state so we needed a place to all gather for his services. This home is located between Lafayette and New Iberia and you can get to it from Hwy 90 and Hwy 182. The Homeowners introduced themselves and were so helpful with anything we needed and even brought us a Fresh King Cake. After booking this home I reached out to the Host Dustin for items that were needed and he was very helpful as well. Everything in the home worked and was extremely clean. The layout of the home and property is amazing. We had children playing in the game room and adults in the main house which worked out great. The beds are very comfortable and have quality linen. Even though we were all there for a Sad time, this home was Perfect and very comforting. We even talked about booking it again in the Summer for a Family reunion. Thank you

We loved our stay at The Sugar Shack ! The house was great, just as advertised and described. In particular, the restroom/shower connected to the main bedroom was awesome, especially for anyone dealing with mobility issues (walk-in shower was fantastic). The house was beautifully decorated. The decorations/theme were lovely, and caught the attention of the visitors/family that came by to visit during our stay. Also, the back patio was awesome, and just so relaxing in the morning when we sat out back to drink our coffee. The house was a great find for us as we were searching for a house in the area for someone with mobility issues (my mother in our case). But with so few handicap-accessible options in the area, The Sugar Shack was lovely, and just such a great fit for us! Jessica was a great host. She was considerate as to why we came in to town (funeral), and checked in to make sure things were going well. Communications, check-in & check-out were super easy & clear. Thanks Jessica!

Elle nous a même donné des recommandations de restaurants. Nous avons pu passer un agréable moment dans son jardin en compagnie de ses chats. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, dommage qu'il ait été si court.

I definitely needed this quiet gateway. It’s truly is a beautiful property. I love the charm of the cabin feel. I felt like I was in my own island and that is what I was seeking. The design is so cute and the Cajun charm. I love the beautiful heart on the tree as I was walking around exploring the property. The vibes the property gives are secluded and tranquility at its finest. Really good place for reflection and meditation for restarting yourself back to center. The host Amy was very nice with responding to my questions. I appreciated her letting me arrive early. I did feel very welcome and I appreciated the snacks and drinks. I would stay here again. It’s really an Introvert Paradise when you need some alone time just to breathe and focus on yourself. I love seeing the cows 🐄 and hearing them moo 🐮. Love animals and being around all the time. My husband and I plus our little dog stayed at “Over Yonder.” It surpassed my expectations. I have stayed at several Airbnb’s before but none as well stocked with wonderful items. The house is darling and beautifully decorated. It was a cinch to get into the house. The house has a huge backyard to walk around and a great fire pit. There is also a ton of restaurants within 3 to 5 miles. We ate at several and the food was delicious. There is a well equipped kitchen and I actually cooked Christmas dinner! I will definitely stay there again. Montane was quick to answer any questions that we had and was a kind and gracious host!

Serene little getaway with all the amenities. We appreciated the washer and dryer with provided laundry pods, fully equipped kitchen, indoor + outdoor fireplaces (+ wood provided), and perhaps the jacuzzi most of all! Gorgeous scenery and secluded road for a peaceful morning/ evening stroll. Couldn’t have loved it more!

Amazing place! Very peaceful and relaxing. Identical to photos and was super clean. Beds were very comfortable and everything was as described. Great for a quiet weekend getaway. Had a fantastic time and will be back!

A magical retreat we’ll never forget❤️ What an unbelievable stay! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a hidden gem designed with love and care. The kids were all smiles—kayaking, fishing, kicking the soccer ball across the open yard, and playing cornhole under the cozy covered space beneath the cabin. One of the most peaceful moments was watching the wood ducks glide across the water at sunset, gently landing on their little house. Nature truly put on a show for us. Inside, the cabin was a dream—warm, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches. The sound of rain dancing on the tin roof was its own lullaby. The coffee bar was a delight each morning, and soaking in the garden tub with bath bombs felt like a mini spa day. Each room told a story, lovingly decorated with nods to local treasures—like the Tabasco Factory and Jungle Gardens on Avery Island, and Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island. It felt like the spirit of the region was wrapped into every detail

Wow is all we can say!! Anita and David’s place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the fishing, the huge deck, the comfortable living spaces, as well as all the little sitting areas around the property. I especially enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the porch swing! We will definitely be back! Thank you again!!
