This spot was perfect for us - family of adults with children - to visit with family in New Iberia that live about a block from this Airbnb. There were enough private spaces for each of us to have our own rooms, the beds were comfy enough, and the space was just as described. That said, Center St is loud - cars with loud stereo systems, the train runs several times a day, and there are some interesting characters around. It was fine for us, because our family lives down the road, but just a PSA for anyone that might not need to stay in downtown New Iberia. Lane was a great host, very helpful and responsive. The AC seems a bit weak, and that’s speaking for December in Louisiana. I’d be hesitant about how well it can cool off the place during the summer. It seemed like the temp on the thermostat wasn’t accurate to what it felt like in the place. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Renting from Maria is great. She was quick to respond to any messages. The house is in a great location; there is a short drive to many stores in Broussard and Lafayette. I did take advice from another review to put table cloths over the windows for more privacy. Overall, it was a great experience and I would rent from Maria again. Thank you!

This airbnb is in the perfect location for visiting family who lives in the area. Close proximity to delicious Cajun cuisine and local grocers, such as Nunu's and Rouse's. Will definitely stay again. The only thing missing was a grill and more cookware.

I definitely needed this quiet gateway. It’s truly is a beautiful property. I love the charm of the cabin feel. I felt like I was in my own island and that is what I was seeking. The design is so cute and the Cajun charm. I love the beautiful heart on the tree as I was walking around exploring the property. The vibes the property gives are secluded and tranquility at its finest. Really good place for reflection and meditation for restarting yourself back to center. The host Amy was very nice with responding to my questions. I appreciated her letting me arrive early. I did feel very welcome and I appreciated the snacks and drinks. I would stay here again. It’s really an Introvert Paradise when you need some alone time just to breathe and focus on yourself. I love seeing the cows 🐄 and hearing them moo 🐮. Love animals and being around all the time. Place is great and exactly how it is described. Make sure you bring shampoo, conditioner and body wash as that was not provided, but photos are accurate and host gives great details!

We would absolutely revisit this Airbnb. We traveled from Oklahoma in search of a town where we could enjoy quality time as a family and reconnect. This place had everything we needed within walking distance. My sons loved being able to fish at any time, while I enjoyed relaxing on the porch and watching them. The town's history provided a great learning experience for them as well. Mickey and Tiffany were kind enough to reach out regarding early check-in due to the weather, and they welcomed us to the town in person, even bringing dessert. We thought that was very thoughtful and generous! They also kept us informed about local eateries and activities happening during our stay. You can truly feel how much New Iberia means to them, and it shows in all the wonderful work they are doing there!

A magical retreat we’ll never forget❤️ What an unbelievable stay! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a hidden gem designed with love and care. The kids were all smiles—kayaking, fishing, kicking the soccer ball across the open yard, and playing cornhole under the cozy covered space beneath the cabin. One of the most peaceful moments was watching the wood ducks glide across the water at sunset, gently landing on their little house. Nature truly put on a show for us. Inside, the cabin was a dream—warm, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches. The sound of rain dancing on the tin roof was its own lullaby. The coffee bar was a delight each morning, and soaking in the garden tub with bath bombs felt like a mini spa day. Each room told a story, lovingly decorated with nods to local treasures—like the Tabasco Factory and Jungle Gardens on Avery Island, and Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island. It felt like the spirit of the region was wrapped into every detail

Excellent space, extremely clean, and property was accurately described!

We had a delightful stay. The weather was great and the surrounding area offered many different things to do. The apartment fit four adults and two dogs very well. The outdoor area was large and we spent most of our time out there. The beds were so comfortable as were the linens. A+ all the way around!

Linda’s Lu-Zan Suites was the perfect place for us. Comfortable furniture and bed, steps from Main Street, easy parking, and it felt like home. Thank you Linda for sharing Lu-Zan with us…

We have grandchildren in New Iberia, That was our first overnight stay since they moved. Glad to have found a lovely place to stay. It had all the comforts of home and more!

Serene little getaway with all the amenities. We appreciated the washer and dryer with provided laundry pods, fully equipped kitchen, indoor + outdoor fireplaces (+ wood provided), and perhaps the jacuzzi most of all! Gorgeous scenery and secluded road for a peaceful morning/ evening stroll. Couldn’t have loved it more!

We had a wonderful visit. It was exactly like the photos and better. We especially loved their large, shaded backyard that back right up to the Bayou Teche. Great furnishings. The beds were comfortable and the claw foot bathtub was a nice touch. Near some great attractions: Jefferson Island, Avery Island, antique shopping in Franklin. Great location outside of town. Would absolutely stay here again!

This place is extraordinary, and Jeff was the consummate host. He was super-responsive, gave lots of helpful suggestions for things to do and went out of his way to make us feel fully at home with both total privacy and total availability. The home itself is wildly wonderful, exactly like the photos except more expansive inside and outside, with a lot of land. The landscape is gorgeous, and the bayou could not be prettier. I recommend this place for anyone!
